I really miss your Rat Rod builds. I have some hexes I found online that are drilled out and have bearings pressed into them. Don't get me lyin as to where they came from but their either from Bang Good or Amazon. Will get them out later tonight and get some pictures. Another option might be Fomula1 front rims. There is/was rubber tire F1 front rims that take bearings. But their not going to look like vintage or steelies. Really like the tires and rims you got on there now. Very cool.
Mount the lights on the top of the steering arms so they turn with the wheels and tires. It will not take away from the hole look that started this build but it will make the lights the focal point ant it will give you full steering.
11:30 That was super fun to hear. I have had the same issue and just solved it with exectly the samme solutions as you. #d printed adapters ith bearings and some washers etc.... Took me forever to find that solution... fun how another rc hotrod builder have gone the same route... :)
I'm having the exact same issue with my front wheels (similar set up with Tamiya semi front axle). I started with normal depth hex hubs, I can back off the nyloc nut to get wheel spin. But my rig rolls in turns super easy so I want to increase the track width up front to counter that. Added wider hex hub adapters like yours, which don't use a nyloc nut so no way to keep tension on the nut and get wheel spin. Curious if you found any other solutions to this? You mentioned a 3d printed adapter? Do you have a link? What would be perfect is a wide hex adapter with recesses for bearings on both ends... but I don't have the tools or skills to machine that myself.
@20:46 😂 Are those the same tires you had on it in that facebook post the other day? Bc it looked sick AF with the fat tires. You could always spray that activator into a small cup and apply it with a brush if you don't want to spray the body. 👍👍
🏴🇬🇧👍🏻🤠nice informative video there 🇱🇷Tex,your videos are always inspirational THANKYOU keep it scale my friend and stay safe and well 🤙☝️🤘🤠🇬🇧🏴Dave in Cornwall 🏄🏻♂️🌊🌧
It is 3dprinted. The designer doesn’t have it listed anymore on shapeways. I know I’ve seen the file available somewhere else like cults3d or myminifactory.
Shure wish you wood come up with a kit or parts list an plans an were to get all the parts so a guy like my self could build one for my self come on dude you could make some money if it's priced right.
Very cool!!!!!!!!!!!!
20:48 I love how you leave the everyday ( life happens) mishaps in your videos. Always entertaining content. Keep up the great work.
I love this explains the front end.
Nice seeing this one come back. Also fun seeing the Peterbilt in the background.
Great scrachbuilt!nice work
You are an Artist. Very inspiring. I am building a 4wd drift car, Ken Block is my inspiration. Thank you for your videos.
Great re-build on that body! MIDWID!

Looks much better, has a very purpose built race look to it, like it was built for a retro class of racing maybe. Those wide jobs really set it off.
I love this channel you have some of the coolest builds. 🤟🏼
nice
Powww crazy !! Could you sell it or give the chassis plans ? It’ s a dream !
I zoned out for a min there watching you work
Love the farm truck build!
I’m super nervous getting ready to paint my first RC hard body. TF2 LWB. Watching your videos is very helpful. Thanks.

The fat tires rock and make it look like a dirt oval track farm truck ratrod!

I would Love to build a rat rod of my own but not really sure where to start. You do a awesome job.
Fun video, awesome build. Enjoy all the elements 'coming together' to form a new truck. Great inspiration, thank you.
Most of the time the iron paint I get comes with an activator which you brush/spray on put in plastic bag and it should rust in an hour or so
RWD lusciousness.
I like to buy one of your builds
Its amazing the amount of detail you can put into something that beautiful!👌🥰👍looks sweet!
Awesome video my friend 👍

There is a 3dprinted part that solves that problem. I had a set I ordered from shapeways but I can not find them anymore.
Cool video my friend love the work keep it up
Impressive! Good job bro.
That’s badass, I dig the ratrods anyways. I’d like to try and build a 1/25 scale truck similar to yours, not exactly but similar, pretty cool bud!
Pretty cool - but front tirres to wide.

Lol. Yeah it’s the same wheel and tire setup.

Who makes that cab? And how much are they? Thanks!
It use to be sold on shapeways by m-customs. Cost about $150 back then.
Had the same problem with my hex locking up so I took plastic hexs dill out for a bearing to fit inside and a shim or two. problem salved.
Where do you get the frame rail material?
I use half inch steel tube from Home Depot.
Was that a custom made body?

How much 😉
