@@PorterMTB I imagine you get used to it after a while. Rode BMX as a kid but never had anything like that. Got my first DJ bike last fall and I'm loving it. I'll have to put in a little work to get to comfy on something like that.
I wish I had a backyard like you since my local trails and jumps got torn down 2 weeks ago. And when I want to go riding I have to ride to the spot since I don’t have a car yet
Depends on the jump, on a very steep dirt jump/slope style a tuck would be easier cause the bike is pretty much in position, on a longer jump with good air time a suicide would be easier since you dont have to bring the bike up to you.
My dad makes me clean the backyard and do house work, these kids get to work on trails and jumps, i swear if they complain about building, lmao. This is literally my dream
4:32, another really easy way to make really loud dirt bike noises is to use a disposable water bottle and put it in the front fork with the cap facing forward, it works best with tyres with treads.
Amazing man. You’ve prob said this a million times. But how big of a property you working with. I’m in the market for a new property and I wanna build a track similar to yours in my property
Haha I think it’s only my 3rd video over 10, I try to cut it down as short as possible but still tell the story, and keep it interesting and fun! Definitely don’t wanna waste anyone’s time!
Hey Eric there’s a nice double at my local jumps about a 10 foot gap and it’s really good for beginners. I have a video on my account if you wanna check it out. I think it would be cool as your backyard has small and huge jumps and there’s nothing in between. The jump is easy to clear with a bit of speed, just thinking of Milo and Owen progressing onto bigger jumps.
Thanks Eric! Absolutely loving your backyard builds! Another great thing you could do with it is make a huge landing and build two or three more dirt jumps that make the gap longer. You have the luckiest kids, I bet they’ll be doing double backflips at crankworx soon!
The take off is called the lip, mine are made out of wood for durability, and the landings are where you land, and mine are dirt. Welcome to our awesome sport!
Looks like a great way to grow up in Beautiful Utah for all three of you!
Shut Up and Ride MTB & ebikes there are four
We all love it here!
That's a sweet setup
Those timelapses are incredibly satisfying to watch.
Good to hear! More coming this week!!
I might be going to park city for a day in the summer. Hope to be able to see you there
Sounds awesome, hope to see you!
Has anyone jumped off the lip then did a 180 into the back side of the landing?
I was thinking of that too!
You could also ride it like a spine.
Wait, he did that.
Damn I was also thinking that
No one has done that, like a pocket air off the lip, but I have thought about it... it’ll happen one day!
You need to borrow Seth’s Wacker Packer!
He should get his own
He rents that
He rents it
Seth dosn't own one
Those are awesome, but don’t work well for shaping and packing tall steep dirt jumps
Your backyard is crazy!!!
Love your videos its snowing hard where I live.
Be great to have Eric Porter as dad Yoda of jumps!😁
Well done you’ve really in spired me to make my own trails in my own garden thanks
That’s awesome, do it!!
You are a great role model for your kids and the world! Keep up the great work!
Thanks! I'm trying!
I wish I could see your house and backyard... but it looks awesome from Salt Lake City!
Slimey 24 I’m in Ogden
That gap jump looks massive on camera. Can't imagine how big it looks in person. As a spine, its right up my alley. 👍
The spine is fun! The jumps are big, but aren’t too bad to ride if you have a dirt jump background
@@PorterMTB I imagine you get used to it after a while. Rode BMX as a kid but never had anything like that. Got my first DJ bike last fall and I'm loving it. I'll have to put in a little work to get to comfy on something like that.
I'm a simple man; I see a good build-lapse with a chicken, I like and subscribe.
I like your style!
Looks sweet man! Thanks for the tips
Happy to help!
I wish I had a backyard like you since my local trails and jumps got torn down 2 weeks ago. And when I want to go riding I have to ride to the spot since I don’t have a car yet
That sucks! I've definitely had my trails torn down before I got this place, it sucks. Hope you find a new spot!
Porter MTB Luckily the next riding spot isn’t too far away from the one that got torn down but it still sucks.
Absolutely shredding !!!
Thanks for saying how to hit the jumps for the first time🤘🏼
Happy to help!
Keep up the great work man you have an amazing back yard that a lot of people wish to have
Loved it! Got to sit and watch with my boyo and now he's amped to ride his little bike!
That’s awesome!!
That's so cool keep up with the good content
Third
That’s a nice yard 🔥
👊👊
I have two grandaughters (11 and 13) who I have been riding with for a while. We are cross country MTB riders but still have a great time.
That's awesome! I started out racing XC in high school, before NICA even!
I built a trail in my backyard
ur cool, i did ask
SeaSunSurf stfu, it’s the comments section of a vid on bike trails so it’s relevant
Epic
Wow sooo cool
Yeah...so did I
You need more subs!!!
Tell your friends, let’s grow it!!!
So do you!!!!
Those are some sexy jumps
good fun! you got that 1st one looking sweet! thanks for posting :)
Glad you liked it! Working on #2 and #3 this week
thank for the vids it keeps me sane thxs
I would love to ride your backyard with you and your kids. Looks sooooo fun to ride.
I might move somewhere where I can build jumps, this advice helps so much!🤟🤙
Can you still manual the whole pump track with the two new jump options in it?
Love to content Eric
Great rebuild video Eric 🤟🤟👌
👊👊
I really really want a backyard that big!
It was always my dream as well, hopefully you can make it happen!
Some people say covid is the reason bikes are sold out everywhere...I think it might be your inspiration! Good on ya!
you guys did a great job on the build-lapses, keep up the good work!
You motivate me to agrivate neighbors
😂
Keep the amazing work up!!!!!!
Thanks, working hard over here!!
Quick question Eric
What is easier suicide no hander or tuck no hander
Great video btw
Tuck
Definitely a sui
Thanks for the help I’ll learn both
Depends on the jump, on a very steep dirt jump/slope style a tuck would be easier cause the bike is pretty much in position, on a longer jump with good air time a suicide would be easier since you dont have to bring the bike up to you.
Ryan Hines took the words out of my mouth
Legendary time lapses they are just so perfectly made 👌
i love the videos especially the time lapses of building they are so satisfying and im subscribing right now
My dad makes me clean the backyard and do house work, these kids get to work on trails and jumps, i swear if they complain about building, lmao. This is literally my dream
So cool. Nice work and I love how your kids are really into it also.
Love ur videos I'm starting to make jumps by my house
Great insight!💪 Hand Built
Feels good to do it like that!
4:32, another really easy way to make really loud dirt bike noises is to use a disposable water bottle and put it in the front fork with the cap facing forward, it works best with tyres with treads.
Good idea!
Thanks!
Nice vid dude, first one I've seen of yours! Sick jumps & subbed 👍
Thanks! Stoked to have you here, more building and riding to come!
Appreciated the video! Thanks!
You should get a BagJump lander that fits on top of an existing landing for your mulch jump
That would be awesome!
The jump us chiselled. I have a load of bricks what I ride on during quarentine
Your dog has got some skill :)!
good vid eric
I am doing the same thing almost but I am building mine
thanks
for the awesome content
Nice! Glad you're enjoying it!
Awesome jumps!!!!!Where did you get all the dirt?
Nice
I like how the chicken is just out and about watching you guys work.
you should do another video were you went split boarding and fly fishing in the same day but go to woodward and snowboard and ride your local trails
Awesome video 👍
Thanks!
I made a bike track and you inspired me
Great vid man sick track
His kids are never bored.
They are pretty lucky!
I need a big roll in like yours, but I think my wife would think we're totally nuts then. 😄
the chicken is so amazing 🤣
Haha yeah she’s pretty funny
I like the chicken on the time laps helping out
Going to incorporate more of Beringer's sections this year or are they kinda fragile/sketch by now? Even just having that bit as a berm is awesome.
Definitely putting more in this year, rearranging actually, pretty excited for it
You should go to berm peak
I love it there, can’t wait to go back after we can travel again!
you should put a lip on the side of the berm, and make like a transfer onto the pumptrack
i build trails at my house to this video is helpful
Your kids are soo cooool
They are definitely having a blast!
You might put the new jump into a pump track because the other one is now a jumptrack
Living the dream!
You should try the new jump line in Mantua
Hopefully I will!
Eric please can you do a video on how to compact a jump without the dirt sticking to the shovel
Good idea, I’ll talk about it this week!
Thank you Eric
Please may I have a shout out in your next video
How big is your backyard. Awesome video. Love the jump and track videos.
Our lot is about 1 acre, the jumps take up about 1/2 an acre.
Glad you are enjoying the vids!!
Who would dislike this
Love the vids man
Amazing man. You’ve prob said this a million times. But how big of a property you working with. I’m in the market for a new property and I wanna build a track similar to yours in my property
Thanks! The lot is about an acre, the jumps and pumptrack take up a half acre or so
this is so sick nice vid
How long do you think it's going to be before the kids start hitting the BIG jumps
You should jet wash the water slide and get it running good.
Oh we will, I’m going to rearrange to slides, it’s gonna be good!
I know it's a big jump and it look good but to get sharper or smoother edges recommend using a troul
That dirt jump got a photo shot with the drone
How does he not have over 1 million subs?
Tell your friends, let’s get there!
One way I’ve seen some people pack is to run a 4 wheeler up and down on the landing like drive up then coast down
hey
Just waiting for that game of bike.....
It’s coming!! It’s building season in the yes right now though, gotta get it when it’s good!
I tried to put some jumps in my yard, but the apartment manager yelled at me to stop digging up the flower beds.
Hahaha that’s awesome
I see you getting the 10: of vid. I'll "watch" for you.
Haha I think it’s only my 3rd video over 10, I try to cut it down as short as possible but still tell the story, and keep it interesting and fun! Definitely don’t wanna waste anyone’s time!
Could you do a how to vid on something while in quarantine it would be nice to practice a trick.
could you ride the first jump as a spine without the wooden lip?
Definitely!
I was about to go work on my step up but then saw that may 2020 was dumping a foot of snow on us, it was 80 degrees a week ago
Love the vids
My neighbors bout to have a step down over their fence 👺
That sounds awesome!!
I wish I could fly like you
Keep riding and trying and you can do it!
Yay here again 3rd
This is epic
That is MINT!!
is that a water slide? and what is used for?
It is an d water slide, we use it for riding! I’ll have a video on it this summer!
That’s a great idea! We are planning on medium size jumps next!
Thanks Eric! Absolutely loving your backyard builds! Another great thing you could do with it is make a huge landing and build two or three more dirt jumps that make the gap longer. You have the luckiest kids, I bet they’ll be doing double backflips at crankworx soon!
I’m new to mountain biking so the dirt part is called the lip and the wood thing is the landing 🤷♂️
Exacly oposite
The take off is called the lip, mine are made out of wood for durability, and the landings are where you land, and mine are dirt. Welcome to our awesome sport!
What is the radius on your wooden lip?
They are all different, ranging from 6 - 7' tall, and 12' - 13' radius.
Yoo what drone do you have ?
