If your dog chews off the wrap like mine has done. After wrapping the leg put an old sock on their leg so they can't chew it off. IF the sock is to big at the top and keeps falling down tape the top of the sock to the fur. They won't be able to chew off the bandage and keeps it clean since the sock gets the dirt not the bandage.
I’d like to take my dog to a vet, but it’s currently a 4 week delay. I think it’s a tendon between front wrist and paw. I put a cone around his neck so he can no longer lick it; but that alone won’t heal it.
Thank you for this excellent, informative instructional video. The “vet wrap” is commonly called “Coban”. EXCELLENT advice regarding unrolling some of it first as Coban can cut off circulation after just a couple of layers as its purpose is as a compression band.
Any suggestions how to keep your dog from chewing it off? Elizabeth collar doesn't work on high-energy dogs, maybe putting something like Tabasco on the outside to make the licking unpleasant? Thanks much
If it is the BACK leg right above hock and the blue wrap (coban wrap?) you applied keeps rolling down on top end and up on bottom end where her leg (knee & ankle) bends. What do you do (theres way more movement/bending in that area from sitting standing laying ECT...) also I found only athletic tape seems to hold the wrappers gauze on and allow it to stay but I don't want it to hurt her. Any suggestions? Thanks Iodine won't burn even on a really deep cut?
My dog has cut his carpal pad. I have bandaged his leg with the same tape you have but no matter how gently I bandage his leg his foot still swells up. When I remove the bandage his foot gets better but then he knocks the wound and it bleeds again. He got stitches from the vet at the beginning but they came out and I can't afford to take him again. I bandage gently but how can I stop swelling?
Hello. My dog is in the same situation as of now aside from swelling and having went to the vet. I haven’t taken him to the vet because the vet just told me to keep it bandaged and bring him in in case of infection. Can you tell me how your dog’s recovery went without the stitches?
That dog is surely the bestest boy. What a good patient. Thank you for this video :)
This made me cry for some reason. Its hard to remember such decent people are out there sometimes. Now I can help fix my dogs leg. Thank you.
What if your dog thinks he is being murdered when you touch his feet?
😂😂😂
Mine left out a really loud yelp that made neighbors turn their lights on
😂😂
I would use a muzzle
Omg I'm dying over here!!LOL 😂😅

thanks , good idea ... My dog keeps taking off the bandage and i dont know what to do. ... But problem is my dogs legs are too thin for a sock
You can also buy a bitter wrap so it’s yucky when they chew it
What a patient pup 😍
What a well behaved pup!
Hes anesthetized. Makes it easier. I want to see this done on a wide awake bouncy dog.
