What Will I Catch On This Pink Swimbait?

- What's not to love about a bubblegum swimbait? I took out my inflatable paddle board for a day of fishing on a lake I had never fished before. I only packed one rod and a small bag of tackle. The bait that ultimately worked the best was the Reaction Innovations Skinny Dipper, which I feel is a great option for covering water and fishing around thick cover.

Nice video, thanks 👍.
Thank you :)
Anything and everything. I believe in you "Mr pinky" 😢..... they grow up so fast😂 Go smash em chief. Tight lines brotha 🤙
Thanks for watching :)
8:35 might want to start "8 Trap" technique when you get visible follows that don't initially commit. Very effective with swimbaits. Not sure if that's easy to do with the stability of the paddle board though.
I will have to look into this!
What’s the action on your Rod ?
Fun video hope little man have a awesome school year
Medium Heavy. Thanks man :)
Ethan - I didn't think anyone was a cool as you are, but you have a cousin named Knox!! C'mon man, your family must just be full of cool people...
Lol he is a good kid. Thanks my friend :)
Another great video Ethan...thanks :). Re: almost losing your rod? We just got back from the cabin and I did indeed lose my favorite combo over the side of my kayak. I was sick...lol. 20 feet of water with thick weeds or I would have jumped in after it. I tried dragging a heavy spoon through the area but no joy. Fishing was good though so there's that. Currently awaiting delivery of some rod leashes. Lesson learned :(. Cheers!
Ouch! I am so sorry to hear that. Fishing on small watercraft is not a matter of if, it is a matter of when. I have lost gear before too and it is not a good feeling.
I’m glad to see a new video☺️!
I just got home from a fishing vacation where I was going for smallmouth, and throwing a TRD bugz Ned rig, but I caught a new all around pb😅! A 75 lb. Carp!😆
Caught on 8 lb test and a medium light Duckett micro magic spinning rod! And I put the photo on my Instagram 😅!
Didn't see the carp on your instagram???
@@chipseiler1766 it’s @misakicustomlures ❕😅
Wow sounds like an insane fight!
Man I always forget you changed the channel name. Random question cuz I just got into kayaking. If you go over an area with a lure, how often do you swing back and try another lure? Coming from bank angling to kayak fishing I'm finding some interesting learning curves from inshore to offshore approaches
I don't usually comb over the same area a bunch unless I am really confident fish are there. I typically try to cover as much water as possible personally.
Love your videos and baits as always. Surprised not to see a catfish on your line today lol. God bless and tight lines as always P.S. going trout fishing soon. What brand fluoro line do you like and what lbs. appropriate everything!!
I don't typically throw fluoro on light gear. I use Sunline for my bass fishing needs, but for lighter lines, I opt for braid or copolymer.
That lake looks like a gravel pit where I swam years ago that became a county park? What happened to the 20” smallie quest!?!?
The pursuit of a 20 will certainly come back. I just have had a lot of things going on so the fishing has been put on pause a bit. Don't worry - that 20 is out there and I plan to get them.
we need an all pink dt jr.
Maybe someday! Thank you for the feedback :)
first
Thank you!
Well since I have started watching your channel two weeks ago, my love for ultralight fishing has been rekindled. You should really be on the pro staff for the brands you love so much. Just got me a TFO Trout/Panfish and a Shimano Sahara 1000 spooled up with trilene sensation 2lb. Your success is persuasive, that's for sure. Hopefully be making an order for some mule jigs and donkey tail Jr. Here soon! Thanks for your infectiously positive dink attitude man!
Thanks for the kind words! Happy you are having fun with it :)
Always wondered what kind of other fish might be in that body if water from when the river floods every couple of years. Good fishin’
Probably a lot of fish that would surprise us. Good point on the flooding.
I have those same SPRO bags. They are nice. Tight lines Knox.
They are really solid little storage options for a pretty low price.
Excited for my next batch of mule to come in! I'm out on the other side of Michigan from ya. Love your content
Thank you Troy! Hope all is well out your way :)
Man, more power to you, but fishing on a paddle board looks like torture.
Honestly it is pretty fun with limited gear. Don't recommend bringing too much
Can't wait for your lures to come in for my ultralight. Just wait on the restock so I can get the other colors
Thank you! :) truly appreciate the support.
new subscriber! love this type of video just straight fishing👊🏽
Thanks so much for watching! Tight lines :)
Nice
Thanks for watching :)
Knox is such a STUD! He's got the "It's not big, but we'll take it" youtuber line down already!
Haha exactly. He is a great kid.
Nice Video! Looked like a great day on the water!
Thank you! It was a fun day :)
Dang, that’s some clean skips 😎
Honestly my skipping abilities have gone up tenfold in the past couple years. Very satisfying to skip a bait.
Wanted to ask a quick question. I have showed you love of love for your burro bug and I'm planning to get at the least one of each plastic. I'm stuck on colors and thought maybe just going Dakota sunrise on them all would be best since it looks kinda similar to rodeo clown. Lighter color on one side and darker on the other. So in theory that color choice would be best for any water color or should I just go with a different color for each one?
I like to have a bit of variety just in case the water clarity calls for a certain color option. I would suggest getting a few brighter options and a few more natural options. That should put you in a good spot!
@@FishAnything yeah I ended up doing that with my last order. Your products are amazing. My next order is including a hat lol
What kind of paddle board is that?
Glide Angler!
how are you able to cast so accurately? i've been losing so much tackle in trees :(
Rod length can play a big role in that
Time on the water. I have made hundreds of thousands of casts throughout the past 15 years. I still make bad ones from time to time but practice makes perfect.
Hey Ethan have you ever thought of making a micro worm
Tune in to the Mule RUclips channel today ;)
Will do
Knox crushed it at the end! Complete natural.
Darn right he did!
Great video! Perfect time to throw the skinny dipper. And the Daiwa Zillion 16 is still an awesome reel. I have some new ones and still use my 2016 quite a bit. 👍🏼
I like this reel for sure. Not as fancy as the new one but it gets the job done!
Great day on the water buddy. I don't know why bass tear up the wild colors like pink but the clear water is the constant. They were plenty aggressive. Time well spent with your cousin Knox too. Great times. Blessings Ethan
Thanks Brian. Yeah not sure why pink is such a good color but it definitely is!
Great video I’ve been doing the same thing but that’s with an under spin works well tight lines, my friend
I have tried the underspin hooks like this and haven't had as much success. I need to keep trying this fall because they should be dynamite when the bass are chasing bait.
Get after them ethan!
Did my best!
Great video. I have 2 Daiwas, but I’ve never tried to skip a bait before. Thank for all of your great content.
Thank you! Yeah skipping is intimidating but it gets easier with time. Using heavier baits that are conducive to skipping well (flat sides - minimal appendages) has been how I gain confidence.
Super cool seeing the next gen of kayak anglers being trained up. Great video Sir, really enjoyed it!
Thank you! Yeah Knox is a dang natural.
Glad to see that you were able to get out there!
I will have to go back. Seems like a neat body of water. I bet there are some giants lurking down there in the depths...
🎣 all the fish you caught were nothing but a bunch of great catches
Great times on the water :)

👍🏻👍🏻
You should always have your rod rip facing your lure, especially with moving baits. The line rubs on the guides and makes some noice (mainly braid) and it actually wears down your line faster too when it is constantly rubbing against your guides.
good intel!
