I think the feathers would pass through the snake undigested. I saw a black rat snake pass undigested feathers. It had been seen previously hanging around where some birds had their nests.
Actually, the snake tried to get rid of many of them. Those feathers don't come from the chicks. The parents seem to have "feathered their nest" with discarded plumage (many of those feathers were bigger than the adult birds, so obviously they scavenged them.) A few times did you notice the snake seems to chew on the roof of the nest? I think it was trying to scrape out all those extra feathers
There were a lot more babies in that nest than I thought there were! Snakes have to eat too, and they help keep the population in check. Poor mom and dad are going to have to start over now! Great footage though!
we have some bushes about 4' in height in our front yard that the birds nest in, I also own a ball python and a few non-venomous snakes as well that love little defenseless chicks. My coach whip (Red racer) loves it when I feed it live meals of Morning Dove chicks or finch Chicks. But he never has a shortage of common sparrows. My coast Gardner Snake loves those little pesty House sparrows. My Python will eat Live food But he's Not used to it and rodents (his food) has teeth that can hurt him ans since I breed him I don't want him hurt. Great video, thanks!!
Wow! That brood was so much larger than I expected from what was visible at the nest opening. And all those loose feathers... here I complain if I find a single cat hair in my food.
@@dancindavey1515 Actually, the parent birds didn't have a chance. Did you see the size of the birds compared to that snake? It would be like you going up against Godzilla. Go for the eyes? Those eyes are covered by a hard shell and there's otherwise no other vulnerable spot. Attacking an eye would bring Momma closer to the mouth that could catch and swallow her almost easily as it swallowed the chicks. In fact, I think the snake was considering at one point, but the parents wisely stayed away. Maybe they were trying to lure it away, and that's the only defense they had.
Charles Haines Actually, I wasn't being all that serious. Glad the snake had a fine dinner. Wonder if the feathers tickled his tonsils? ( don't reply, I'm just f'n around). I'm just acting like a snake in the grass.
The little bird just kept going ''chirp chirp chirp! Help help help! " And the snake kept on devouring it alive while it cries for it's mommy and daddy's rescue. I just witnessed a snake eat an entire family of kids And I'm high as fuck! .
It's amazing the snake didn't choke, or gag, on what it was eating, with all those feathers, when there wasn't anything for it to drink in the immediate vicinity.
I thought after the 1st 2 that the rest got lucky but it decided to bang U turn. On another note, that nest must have a big basement because I didnt think there was any way possible there would be 6 chicks in there. The snake must have thought the same thing at first, too.
Tragic to be that 4th bird...oh god theirs a 5th fucking bird in their wtf And he’s still moving his beak while being chewed on 😥😰 did he just get a 6th one or is that the same one. Nope. It’s number 6
This snake looks like a puppet made out of rubber and those eyes since snakes don’t blink makes its more looks like a puppet trying to eat like the Cookie Monster om-yum-yum!
This is exactly what the IRS does to small business! They slide in when the owner is at lunch and them pillage the place because your employees are prey.
am i the only one who's hoping a hawk would come and attack the snake then eat it? and the hawk be like while eating the snake: how does it feel being eaten alive?
Because feral cats are an invasive species in every region on planet Earth. This E. carinata (the king rat snake) is native to China, and is a natural predator -- not an invasive species that likes to kill for fun, but rather to survive.
The birds are yelling at him but the snake's all like "what'cha gonna do" haha
Wow at the end he was devouring the whole goddamn nest
Garrett Westlake
hungry boi
Garrett Westlake was using the nest to push the birds down its throat
😂😂😂😂😂
Well at least the chickies had each other in that belly
Lol
2:36 snake: lemme see whats inside

I know bad grammar right there
7:28 Chick: I don't want to go to school, mom.
Snake: Oh, you won't have to worry about that!
kennynito 34 😂😂😂
Imagine coming home to ur nest and a snake ate the god damn kids... again
Or watching a monster eat your children.
"All quiet in western front." --> Instant like lol
It's remarkable that the snake's digestion can cope with so many feathers.
Bigger snakes have eaten humans with clothes on, i imagine that would be rougher on the digestive tract.
I think the feathers would pass through the snake undigested. I saw a black rat snake pass undigested feathers. It had been seen previously hanging around where some birds had their nests.
And with the boots on as was the case of an Asian guy not too long ago.
Fiber.

I guess the early snake catches the bird
Kids' menu
Instead of kid eat free, they get eaten for free.

All you can eat buffet.
All you can't eat but you do anyway buffet.
For those baby birds its their modern day jurassic park
Its like the snake just open the refrigerator
That's not a snake. That is really a long, skinny, scaly pig!
Damn, couldn’t leave one? Had to be greedy.
Can’t we appreciate the beautiful colours the snake has on its skin
RoCk-N-PaRtY , NOPE, Hell to tha naw!! 😄

@Fernando Chase thanks, I went there and it seems like a nice service :) Appreciate it !!

That’s the exact same thing the butterfly said before it was fed to the babies.

Alright time to watch a hawk eat a snake now.
"Snakes...why did it have to be snakes?!"
Gokubond 007299 Sorry Dr. Jones. Kali-Ma!
6:50, by far the most gruesome death of the bunch..It got one last look at its parents and the world before the snake swallowed it down
Gobbles wells - Except for the fact their eyes aren't open yet
Oh well the baby birds won't get hungry every 2 seconds again lol
Wow! That brood was so much larger than I expected from what was visible at the nest opening. And all those loose feathers... here I complain if I find a single cat hair in my food.
Minyassa what if you found a whole cat?
Snake:I'll have the number 9 and uhh
Maybe next time mom and dad will build a higher nest.
Or will be there...
exactly my thoughts, the failure here was the location of the nest
They can build it at tree top if they want it won't matter.
Do you fools realize some birds are ground dwellers
If evolution hasn't taught them that by now, it never will. I mean, it's been millions and millions of years.
next time ,put a sign
"nobody home"
the cries of the birds in the bg..
The birds layed out the easiest meal the snake ever had, it couldn't help itself, it was literally an all you could eat
Struggle for existence

How does the snake not choke when swallowing feathers?
No gag reflex ;)
Some feathers to wash it down
Meanwhile the bird who made its nest out of brick still has her chicks!!!

Alessandro Scarrone lmao my friend
Dine and dash...
I like to believe that both the parents were sitting only 1 foot away, watching the whole slaughter, as large tears slowly rolled down their beaks.
The parents will make more not much they could do, nature will be nature.
Sounds like a messed up furry fan fiction
This is how birds get an abortion.
How many did he eat?
six
Epic TACTICAL ESPIONAGE mission completed once again by almighty Naked Snake.
What species of bird was this?
Black-throated Tit ,the smallest bird in our country
Damn, that's one hungry snake !
Too many individuals living in that little home, eviction by death. Nature...
This is exactly what the IRS does to small business! They slide in when the owner is at lunch and them pillage the place because your employees are prey.
A lot of birds in there.
That’s what I call a happy meal

Impresionante!
If a cat did that the viewers would be outraged and threaten to shoot it.
