30$ for a single multi-summon is wild tho i didn't spent a single cent and i got all meta units ui teq beast gogeta phy mui agl vegeta ssjbe int broly agl etc...
Ten548 speaking some facts ngl. Some parts do feel rushed. Not too important, but the shop is the worst. Basically useless. I remember the baba shop in BT2 and spending hours understanding it. I would reset my save file such so I could fuse the potato earrings. Then I got into fusing the power earrings to customize my favorite characters. The shop feels dead and is like a place holder for a more fleshed out way of unlocking these units not in story mode. Also world tournament !!!! Why can’t I progress through it like in BT2. It’s so simple, but felt so satisfying to unlock cell tournament, then one last big tournament of harder opponents.
"we need a zone for specific category enemies" so Super Battle Road... Like i said... SBR and ESBR era was the best era in terms of content design and unit strength. It was balanced well
Really good video i liked it, for my hottake I believe that typing needs to change or evolve into something more fun and I think we need some more unique typing like legends, id kill to see a rainbow type as the next anniversary. The type's are basic and dont make sense to some units depending on which you talk abt ofc. Also adding a replica of your friend unit for you to use yourself would be cool
Legends gives nowhere near 20k per month lmao, not to mention that in order to actually get the crystals you’ll have to grind for hours and hours, some are locked behind days worth of grinding since they’re time gated, Dokkan is a lot more straightforward and stones have far more value than crystals. I’ve been f2p since 2016, never faced an issue, it’s not hard if you’re not a buffoon and know where to spend your stones, legends on the other hand is hell, if you don’t have the new units then you’re doomed on pvp, I also just came back to it after not playing for 2 years and there was literally nearly nothing new to do aside from story changes and a few events. You can’t take a 2 year break from a gacha game, then come back and complete everything in 2-3 days how is that f2p friendly exactly 💀
Couldn’t have put my thoughts about this any better. The nuance of how to gather these “ 1000 “ equivalent stones is so time consuming and difficult if you don’t have a meta team for the season. Definitely possible, but even then I can’t even beat some new events bc I don’t have any featured units. Which is crazy. I miss out on 1000 CC bc I had no CC to begin with lol.
Sparking Zero needs something like a raid boss or 2v2s to get me invested in it again, maybe more characters which i know sounds greedy but to me they just weren't reaching new ground. Something like a Super Hero pack should come before a daima dlc
I can immidetialy answer you question as big fat no, I play this game for like 7 years no, never spent a singular unit of any currency in it, and dokkan just released Saiyan Saga F2P units that can beat nearly any event, rarely had any trouble with new events, sure they don't give as much stones as they did before 5th anniversary but that's still far from being not F2P friendly
HOT TAKE Dokkan, as a video game, isn't hard and doesn't take very much skill As a free to player Dokkan, takes currency management And knowledge on what banners to spend your dragon stones on, basic knowledge of game mechanics, reading comprehension And Luck. What dokkan needs is a game mode that not only requires new stronger units but also some amount of skill. If something like this was implemented, I feel like the player base would complain significantly less about content, and the minority of players who ask for pvp would disappear because they'd actually have something challenging that doesn't require them to save up stones for a new shiny character.
Also maybe the Player Base Just plays IT way too much Like when you Go Off half a years Come Back and you Play the Game and you hear people whining meanwhile you get so much stuff from the Game , i think the ones who complain maybe should Just Take a Break because looking at the insane Long Event list of dokkan you cannot completely finished that all If you arent a real tryhards Like i took a Break from dokkan lately Come Back and try to Cash Up and got over 1000 Stones from Just all the stuff i either didnt Play or was released
I don’t think the SZ is unfinished like the hot take guy said. If they had put everything in the game on launch the game would die very quickly that’s why it’ll be saved for DLC. The game is fun if you try different teams and set ups and try to get better and rank up, playing with friends makes it x10 better. The game is definitely better than 7/10 considering the games that IGN also rated 7/10
Nah I spent stones out my ass. Barely log in sometimes, yet every single time I want to I always summon for what I want. Even 300 stones for gohan and slug 🤣 ( 3 multi each ) Legends tho, daily stones goes a long way and if they just stopped being so hard headed about it, many of the no f2p stones allegations would go away. Perception is a big part of it. I don’t really wanna play legends and grind every month to even stand a chance in the next couple months. I log in to Dokkan and before I know it it’s anni and I have enough stones to comfortably summon.
Not sure if this is a hot take here I go as of right now, if you do not have the SSJ trio or not a ton of support older units are virtually unable I want to use the seven years.I want to use the five years. I want to use the eight years. There are a ton of units that I have that I can virtually not run. I started before ninth anniversary pulled every featured on the Gogeta banner the Broly, beast and I got teq ui but the game just feels so limited on who I can use I really hope the game shifts in a direction where having new units is still important but it’s still good to use old units for example, what if there was a game mode where you could only use units released before a certain time. And it is scaled to that or they just release a ton of new units with a lot of support for the old units like the SSJ trio I really hope 10th year brings us units that can make almost any if not all units runnable. Another thing that would be super cool and make the game less dry would be a community boss fight thing. Where people can make their own boss fights set restrictions do all that if they did that would be awesome.
In my opinion, people shouldn’t even try to compare Dokkan with legends. I tried to play legends, and you can’t even play without getting stomped with guys with a bunch of stars… in Dokkan, if you know what banner to summon on beforehand u can download it for the first time and farm thousands upon thousands of stones… and then, get the best units… Even with this new peppy gals event, it’s difficult as hell, but because I play the game since the 1st anniversary I have a full box of the best characters… and there is no point of saying - “ho but you play it almost since the beginning that’s why you can download it…” my brother just logs to the game and just gets those stones and he gets the best units… so come on… if you play legends I don’t think u can say the same because there will always appear a guy with the new character with 100 stars…
if the only interesting thing in dokkan for you is redzone then you should just take a rest and go play another thing, youre probably tired of the game, you dont need to play dokkan every day, can stop playing for months or years and youll be fine when you come back dokkan give us a lot of good teams, teams that can beat almost every challenge rn, and about good units, well... with 2k stones you´ll get THE best card in the game currently if youre a new player, if youre old player youll have an incredible amount of units that you probably dont use cause people used to think that just meta cards can do challenges for some reason (not true) dokkan gave us like 500 stones last month? new pity system, tickets, event every month with dragon stone, peppy gals event with a diferent aprouch but people still complains some people act like they dont have a single good unid on their box and thats impossible, its math, if you spend 2,5k stones youll have the best unit, just dont be dumb spending on every ass banner that goes out.
I’m pretty sure legends doesn’t give out that much LMFAOOO. But this is just wrong. Dokkan gives plenty of F2P stones. Im sorry but as a F2P player myself you just can’t expect to summon on every banner.
Not sure if it's a hot take but: RIP to Toriyama, but his later work with Super (as a whole) was pretty crap. I'm tired of people glazing Toriyama as if he didn't peak with Battle of Gods at best (And the Broly movie, but that film was 90% action so story hardly mattered). If it wasn't for the gorgeous animation in certain parts of the TOP near the end, Vegito in the Goku Black arc, or Ultra Instinct breaking the internet, Super would have been considered an awful anime. The first two arcs were ruined with horrid conditions for the animators, the U6 vs U7 arc is fugly and only remembered for Goku vs Hit , the Goku Black arc had potential for some serious/deep storytelling but it was fumbled along with a TERRIBLE ending, Kale and Caulifla making a mockery of the SS transformation, etc. I know he wasn't as involved and only gave bullet points for the most part, but damn near everything was mid or bad. I'm not giving him a pass. I thought the Super Hero movie was just lazy all around (aside from visuals and the Gammas), what with Beast Gohan being a SS2 ripoff, anger giving him a free powerup AGAIN, Cell re-do, etc. Last point on this, and this is something I really dislike, Toriyama just lost his touch with sad/triumphant moments (except Ultra Instinct). This is something other anime like One Piece do wonderfully, but Super tried to just toss in these moments like Vegeta thinking about his family while facing God Toppo. It happens a lot, and none of them were ever earned EXCEPT when Vegeta was fighting Jiren in base exhausted at the end. I felt nothing seeing them. Sorry if this was long
This feels like a poor abjudication of Dragon Ball Super as a whole. You're acting like Toriyama is solely responsible for the animation quality, pacing, and every narrative point of Super. You can't acknowledge that he "only gave bullet points for the most part" and use these examples as reasoning for why his late work was of poor quality. The only part I'll give you is that the overall narrative could've been better through his involvement; I agree that he's not entirely absolved of fault for the weak writing/quality of some arcs, but still, it's a poor interpretation of his work to blanketly label all of/a majority of Super as his doing. Like you said, his involvement was primarily by providing bulletpoints for the series; the story outline, character designs, notes, etc., that was his job in creating Super.
@@44thousand Yes, exactly, his bullet points were for likely the major points that MUST be hit during the arc. I would imagine the ending of the Goku Black arc would constitute that, so yes, I'm gonna hold him responsible for such a travesty of storytelling. Unless we're led to believe they made that up themselves? I didn't even speak on pacing at all. Animation I didn't blame him for, I was just listing that as one of the reasons Super sucked as a whole but I should have made that more clear. -There's no way the Caulifla SS nonsense was just made up by the anime staff. That's a major lore implication, no way Toriyama didn't sign off on that. - The entirety of the Goku Black arc is a fumble aside from very few points (Zamasu vs Vegito being the main highlight). Trunks' Spirit Bomb is a flop, his rage transformation while cool-looking, flopped on an emotional level. The Father-Son Galick gun wasn't nearly as good as say the Father-Son Kamehameha was (not even in the same realm of hype). - He was directly involved with Super Hero, quite heavily as I recall. And what do we get? A transformation with zero foreshadowing, no explanation, and is achieved by rehashing Gohan getting mad again (once again does not need to train at all to reach the pinnacle of strength). A shittier version of Cell, the RR army somehow making UI level threats on Earth (like could Bulma make UI level robots too with this logic?). It really makes Piccolo look like a dumbass when he keeps telling Gohan to train but Gohan shows that he doesn't NEED to train to become one of the strongest fighters. (Spoilers) Beast Gohan is seen sparring with UI Goku on Beerus' planet if I remember right, so that gives you an idea of how insane the powerup is. - The only thing I can let slide is the pacing of the TOP because they had to fill time with pointless fights, but I never brought that up in my original argument. I just the TOP was kinda mid until UI sign and Jiren starting boxing. If you want to say Toriyama had nothing to do with those things, be my guest, but I have to assume he at least wrote SOME of them. At the end of the day, his name is on it and I'm not gonna act like he just let them literally do whatever they wanted without his go-ahead first on some level.
Dokkan is probably the best game for f2p players
Real
You could get more stones being f2p than paying
30$ for a single multi-summon is wild tho i didn't spent a single cent and i got all meta units ui teq beast gogeta phy mui agl vegeta ssjbe int broly agl etc...
Then i must be hella unlucky ig

@ still get plenty of dupes for ezas at least
haven’t had wwdc luck since 2021 ✌️ i hate being f2p it’s awesome (especially when all my luck disappears when it’s wwdc and not for anni)
