This solar flare was so caotic that the only ones who were affected, were humans and all living things. In case of the cars, it seems that most vehicles didnt get affected that much, but the fuel in general get affected. The solar flare change the structure and modify the fuel DNA making gasoline useless. Maybe all cars still have some fuel left but in time, the fuel will be useless. Know this solar flare is base on a theory, im not saying it will happen. Scientists from all over the world, always inspect the sun every 24 hours. After 11 years, the sun cycle change, this is exactly what happen here. In real life when the solar cycle change, it produce a solar flare, only that not strong enough to end human life, in real life it happens but with less magnitud of force. Know if this theory happens will be doomed unless we survive in an underground bunker so deep that it will be impossible that the sun kill us. The submarine is a perfect place to be, because it can reach to the bottom of the ocean where is no light and also constructing a bunker deep into the ocean can also be a solution. Because as far as im concern, even in a real event the sun can reach inside a bunker too if is not deep enough and even if you construct a perfect bunker that not even the sunlight cant be seen, if is not enough deep underground. It can get you because of the amount of neutrons this solar flare have, that means instant death. You can even feel how the sun is burning you alive. The food is also another problem, all the food will taste like paper, basically it taste like nothing and there is a possibility that can food will be ok, but for how long if the sun is always coming up. Being also inside a mine might work to keep you safe from the sun, it also depends how deep the mine is. This series is amazing, the first one is "Into the Night", its related with this series, both of them connect, but too bad that the first one didnt release the third season. Who knows when the next season of into the night will be released. In case of the series "Into the night", it is revealed that all NATO members and the Russians knew about the event, before the solar flare reach earth. It also seems that a few people knew about the next solar cycle that it will be catastrophic, so in secret they choose alot of people to be relocated into the island "Diego Garcia", this island is a NATO base that is located near India. Most of the people that NATO choose were send there to try to find a solution to solve the problem and return humanity once again to the surface. Thats why if you see near the end of the video, the man with a space suit. Is at the main NATO base trying to rebuild and find a solution to the problem. I just hope they release the next season of "into the night" to reveal more information.

Boy oh boy you gotta love apocalyptic fiction where the apocalypse happens so quickly and so severely that the only thing that the protagonists see of it is a single flash of light from the bottom of the ocean because they'd be insta-killed in literally any other scenario

At least it's not zombies. 😂 That was old before it was even popular. 28 days was the only one to get it right "the movie should be about how people take advantage or kill one another" rather than the zombies. One: people are more interesting. 2: the fact that you expect zombies to kill people so it's a twist. 3: there wouldn't be a three, but the fact most zombie or apocalypse films are literally the thing that's expected to kill you IS the main threat, it's 25+ years old. At this point people should be happy their film isn't written by an AI have you seen the new resident evil series 😂 reeks of no directorship or guidelines. The scene where the EMP happens is when a guy is hiding inside an empty fuel tanker and there's the sound of cars crashing outside because "offscreen = scary"

Your logic is the problem. They had warnings months ahead of time, not because they could see the rays approaching but because they predicted it would happen, based on the sun's behavior. We predict solar flares all the time, in case you haven't noticed.

The premise is good, but as with so often with these sorts of movies, most the characters are horrible people intent on killing each other. Cannibal miners? Seriously? In reality, people would try to work together for good. I also am skeptical of the idea that military structure would break down so easily.

Many things wrong with this movie : -How does many soldiers lose against someone who isn't even in the army. -Why don't the soldiers, who are armed with assault rifles, shoot at the miners? -Why does these side characters and MC think they can take command of a military submarine while the literal commander with decades of experience is handcuffed.

-How does many soldiers lose against someone who isn't even in the army.
-Why don't the soldiers, who are armed with assault rifles, shoot at the miners?
-Why does these side characters and MC think they can take command of a military submarine while the literal commander with decades of experience is handcuffed.
