The song is a tribute to two anarchists of Italian origin, Nicola Sacco and Bartolomeo Vanzetti who were accused and executed for a crime they did not commit, but the truth had nothing to do with the crime, but with the message that the government wanted to give to the anarchists and socialists of that time. Socialism is bad, and government is bad. the only government that can't be abused or purchased by the highest bidder is the government that does not exist period. Stop depending on daddy government. They are not here to help.
Although I'm in favor of the death penalty, I do agree that the accused need to have a fair trial. Since they were executed on the basis of simply being anarchists, then that's unfair. If they had a fair trial, they wouldn't have been put to death. In a fair trial, there needs to substantial evidence in order to convict the suspect. A fair trial is necessary; abandoning the death penalty is unnecessary.
