Disclaimer and Context - This series was written by combat veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. They served as infantrymen at the tactical level and experienced the futility and pain of a poorly-executed counterinsurgency campaign first-hand. This piece of art is a reflection of their thoughts, feelings and true-life experiences during this generational conflict. Summary - In this dark, irreverent, satire, we explore: 1) The failures of the Afghan war, starting with the absurdity of tasking infantry units to act as a police force in a foreign nation where their presence is largely unwanted. 2) The inevitable loss of humanity in a combat zone, on all sides, and the damage this does to one’s soul. 3)The Officer culture that delivered an inaccurate picture of the battlefield up the chain, all the way to the Pentagon, resulting in a significantly longer war and more deaths on all sides. 4) The Afghan culture and leadership that allowed child rape and sexual slavery to be an acceptable part of society, and the American govt’s willingness to accept this. 5) The racism that existed on both sides, focusing on the Afghan’s racism towards black Marines. 6) The unwillingness and inability of the Afghan police to take the defense of their country seriously. We created this show for several reasons - 1) We created a show that allows us to relive the most intense, frustrating, and painful time of our lives with a sense of humor, so that we can attach a positive emotion to terrible memories, and give our brains and souls some relief from the anger. This is basic CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and is important for the mental health of our combat veterans. 2) This show can also provide a sense of validation, because many combat veterans had similar thoughts on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. It’s important for them to know they are not alone in their thoughts. 3) This show celebrates the American warrior in a way that is rarely seen in film and television. It’s important to celebrate our warriors by acknowledging and even appreciating the psychotic, sociopathic, and bloodthirsty life they lead. Their mental derangement and bloodthirst leads to dead enemies, won battles, won wars, and ultimately, the sovereignty of our nation. 4) Although it is to the detriment of humanity - In war, nothing is more important than winning. Sadly, the animals that we become in war will haunt us for the rest of our lives, leading to poor mental health and suicide. VET Tv acknowledges this in a way that no other organization has, in the hopes that we can understand combat veterans, and better help them. Donny O'Malley, I've got a fun story for you. I was a firefighter/ paramedic that responded to a call at 5am for an elderly woman who lost consciences. She was in v-fib and we worked cpr on her for 30 minutes. Without thinking about it, I said aloud " well I guess you can't call this the living room floor anymore" and the woman's family heard me. Oops. My captain was waiting for me when I got back to chew my ass apart. My point is we all deal with death differently and if you are around it constantly, it changes you. God bless you bud. I know how cliché thanking service members is so instead I'll say I'm glad you made it back.
Working an MVA with entrapment back in the 00s. My little brother was Fire LT on scene, we were first medic unit on scene. He crawls through back window of hatchback to reach patient in drivers seat, it was the only window accessibe (vehicle was macked into a pole with guard-rail wrapped all up the driver side). He crawls out after affixing C-spine immobilization to the young female driver and tells me "yo, they're covered in blood but those are some excellent titties in there, just "MWAH" ((Does chefs kiss))!", extrication team arrives, stabilizes vehicle, goes in with pneumatics, rips roof off, wraps it back, so when I reached the patient, I look down, and he was so right... poor girl hit the wheel with her mouth and bled all over her boobies...her excellent, picturesque boobies. Anyhow, on the side, we started a punk rock band with a few buddies we used to hang out with to blow off steam in our spare time. We wrote a song called "blood tits" about this very call. Point being, yes... when you see bad shit too often, it changes you and morbid gallows humor is all you have to deal with it.

Bro, thank God we are in America... our military takes that shit very seriously. Look at Russia right now, feeding young men into a wood-chipper in Ukraine, and those Ukrainian boys, brave as those fuckers are, they're dying one-a-minute too. They're losing about 200-300 PER DAY on each side!!! Looking at 6-figures a year, dead and wounded. Let that sink in.... crazy right?
this helps me understand what really happened in a way no other sanitized version of commentary possible could. And that, regardless of views or popularity, should be noted as having achieved something significant
I can’t believe I just stumbled across these videos. Talk about coincidence, I did my Afghanistan tour in 2011 with 3/2. My home away from home was pb 7171 for 7 months.

I can't help but come back to this. Murphy is awesome ❤
“And get tricare” 🤣🤣🤣🤣
TOP NOTCH-- TRICARE-- I choked up lol 😝 17:12 😝
I was on PB7171 in Musa Qala back in the day with a Fox Company. This brings back memories of the times we had.
BRO THAT"S WHERE I WAS!!! Lt Maher!! Fox Fires! WTF is up broooo!
The neurotic boot capping the POW then laughing maniacally cracked me tf up

Such a good episode all around!!! Good stuff Devils!!!! Love from the Airborne!!!
No way Lcpl Tate use to be one of my after school program councilors. Fucking rad seeing him on here.
“…and get TRICARE.” 😅😂
Please don’t censor the language
its yt. just subscribe to the channel and get full color language and video
It’s for the monetization.
It’s just for RUclips they sensor the blood and profanity but on the app they don’t sensor a damn thing
Yeah I know…I just hate RUclips’s stupid monetization rules. I’ve had RUclips red for years and have been happy that I haven’t seen an ad in years and years but RUclips is really making me consider deleting it.
This is the best humour that America has produced in about 20 years. 10/10.
Wow as a civillian hearing 80 causulties in 8 months is crazy 20 guys a months about 2-3 a day waking up knowing everyday someone is going to die or be wounded is crazy
Ehhh or wounded not just killed.
@@redswift31 oh yea ik but yk im just generalizing cause stats are just numbers but ik each combat situation is different
@@pharox9711 check out the story of 3/5 dark horse in Afghanistan for a real life example of those types of casualty figures. It's crazy what they were put thru.
This was INCREDIBLE! I didn't know the show had this kind of range. God this is good shit!
God... That colonel at 5:41 looks like Gen. Joseph Dunford LOL!
Beautiful flashbacks right here, when I saw Helmand and that partial board background and 2X4 chairs.
This hits different after the evacuation.
Thank god for vet tv. Grunts can finally have real entertainment.
I laughed so fucking hard at that bayonet kill 😂😂😂😂😂
Chain of command is quite the echo chamber
this helps me understand what really happened in a way no other sanitized version of commentary possible could. And that, regardless of views or popularity, should be noted as having achieved something significant
13:12 the look on Donnys face when he realizes he’s got some competition for who can win the congressional medal of ugly.
Bro...I needed that laugh in my laugh right now! I miss it so bad some days!!
Winning hearts and minds is easy.... When they're all over the walls.
11:04 most based part of the whole episode 😂😂
You guys freakin’ rock!
I can’t believe I just stumbled across these videos. Talk about coincidence, I did my Afghanistan tour in 2011 with 3/2. My home away from home was pb 7171 for 7 months.
Awesome guys
“En route sir” 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
God I miss combat!!!

Lol i love how higher ups keep reinforcing hearts & minds, then back at squad level it's 2 in the heart & 1 in the mind lol
This was great to watch. Is the Col in this George Clooney’s double?!?😂
His fucking foot going straight through the door😂😂😂
Thanks so much for posting this! Needed a good fkn laugh
