As someone who grew up playing basketball in the 90s, there's a reason for that stiff carbon fiber shank plate in the 11, 12 and 13. It keeps your foot from OVERflexing, which when you try to bend the shoe with your hands, it's gonna feel like a brick. But figure your bodyweight on it, even a smaller guy like you, running at speed, jumping, cutting, that puts a literal ton of force on your shoes. Seriously, look at what happened to Zion Williamson last year. That would not happen in a tougher, leather shoe with a reasonable shank and supportive design. Zion should be wearing Lebrons, not the PG shoes he was wearing. Maybe the Jordan 34 was built with him in mind with that flightplate shank system.
@nellek970 sometimes you have to take what you can get. I got a pair of the "Radio Raheems." Definitely not symbolically the right color for a white guy. I didn't know anything about "Do The Right Thing" til way after I got them. But be that as it may, I stand by that they're possibly the best of the early Air Jordans (1-6) to actually play in. Even if you can't get an OG colorway, get A pair. They're worth it.
@nellek970 for the casual Hooper, Flyknit is probably best. No break in, and they don't lose their shape like full grain leather. However, I agree with you. If I'm actually playing ball, even if it's casual, I'd much rather have something Foamposite or leather. Back when I played a lot (a few...few years back), my shoes that i used for several years were Lebron 4s. And in high school, leather Reeboks. Now, I'll play in any number of leather retro Js that still ball.
Cheryl hey I just got some new J1 co.jp. I don’t want to care about creases but would you say to just wear them all out and enjoy what you have? Do you think force fields are dumb to protect the bend? I’m on the fence of caring but I don’t want to care lol. If that makes sense.
The Jordan 1 is my favorite ngl especially outside because the traction is crazy good. I like the hard rubber and tbh traction is the most important for me when it comes to shoes. Also I have flat feet so they don’t hurt my feet at all.
I always liked the 5's and 6's for playing in, but the 11's are probably better for me. Very comfortable. Aesthetics, always the IV. It was my dream shoe as a kid and it still holds that spot even though they're literally on my feet. Personally I didn't like anything after 11. They're no doubt better quality than the early Js, with better tech, but they all just seem so boot-like and clunky. I know it's probably silliness to most people, but I'm not a fan of Zoom air. I know, I know. I just don't like the feel. Overall for performance and aesthetics combined I'd go with 11s (Dec 11, we got a Cool Grey drop!). On the court and on the street they are just stunners and go with a wide array of fashion. Still though, I'd like to go with IVs every time even though they're played out fashion-wise and aren't the most comfortable to play in because of the old tech. Infrared, Cement or Military Blue if you please.
Here's my top Jordans for casual/aesthetic and performance/on-court: Casual Wear/Aesthetics: 1. Jordan 3 2. Jordan 1 3. Jordan 4 4. Jordan 11 5. Jordan 2 (The 2s are super underrated, I like them. They deserve more love) On-Court: 1. Jordan 13 (if your looking for amazing lateral stability, amazing support, and great cushioning without sacrificing court feel and responsiveness, these should be your number one option over ANY other shoe from any other brand. What's crazy is that these were released in 1997/98) 2. Jordan 12 (These are amazing once broken in. It takes a while, but the break in process is worth it. That full length zoom is crazy) 3. Jordan 34 4. Jordan 11 5. Jordan 29
Yeah. I buy sneakers from those guys. They buy them, never wear them and then I get them when they get bored of them. I do keep the boxes for if I ever want to sell them. They would crap themselves if they knew how much I wear them. The only ones I don't wear outside are my Flu Game 12s. Only in the gym.
It was the last time he wore the shoes, when he decided to use it one more time on MSG. To that point the Jordan brand was already in the 13-15 range of shoes, so his feet were used to the better technology. He wore the Jordan 1s for the entire 1984-85 season, he would be insane if he had bleeding feet since the first game and decided to go with the shoe for the 82 games
as i own a lot of them... around that.. but throw 6 in them since i like that design... but as to wear and walk around it depend where am i going... long walk.. stand in line for new sneaker or in the snow...
I love some of the newer Jordan's like the 34,35 and 36 for playing in, I know they're not retros but they are great for court performance, the 34s are pretty good for outside courts. My top 3 favorite retros for playing in would be the 13's,11's and 5's... If I'm doing a top 5 the 8 and 14 are included
Here are Michael Jordan's & Sammy's (Sole brother) Favorite shoes: Michael Jordan's Favorite shoes (Overall) 1. Air Jordan 11's 2. Air Jordan 3's 3. my top 5 jordans for basketball are 1.Jordan 34 2.Jordan 7 3.Jordan 6 4.Jordan 9 low 5.Jordan 11 Horizon they are so comfy even though i have a wide feet
Just coming across this one (only recently sub’d this year so I’m going back through the SoleBrothers catalog to watch previous videos). Of the retros to ball in I’m going with the 13. Doubled up on the black flints which is what I now wear on the driveway court and while practicing with my daughter at the gym. It’s also a lifestyle shoe for me, so there won’t be a shortage of 13s in my lineup ☝🏾
Honestly i have a pair of 1s they’re one of the most uncomfortable Jordan’s to me the id definitely rather play in my 3s, 4s, or 6s they mad comfy and work perfectly for hoops
You totally for got that you did a Jordan 12 dismantled video 3 years ago, in the video you were talking about the full length zoom and the carbon fibre plate everything lol
Man those 3s were super limited i couldnt cop as much as i tried it was a no go then i see you hooped in em lord i liked to died lol. Keep up the great content bro!!!
Don’t know why you base it off of how much they bent in the toe. Like the 34 has that torsion bar that acts like a spring on foot when your moving. It’s not supposed to flex like some flip flops
Wow ttk... that is exactly my go to Jordan list to ball in! And in that order! Prefer the 29 lows, but the 29 in general, turned me into a soft ass bball shoe snob in that when before, I could more or less ball in anything that was over $130, once I started rocking the 29s, I started to notice every little subtle detail about what I liked and didn't like in bball shoes, by comparing it to the 29s (only thing that the 29 wasn't awesome in was ventilation). There is only one shoe I would stick in between those shoes for playability and it isn't a Jordan. The hyperdunk 2017 flyknit (has to be the "high top" and has to be flyknit). My god dang respect for u writing an entire paragraph explaining this u are a legend

ikr where is donny gone?
Oh shut up

I realize I'm pretty off topic but does anybody know of a good website to stream new series online ?
@Emery Marcus flixportal :P
13s and 11s are by far my favorite on court Jordan’s !!
I second the 10. Also, the 2s still ball. Good sleeper shoe
Most definitely
34s are good

How everyone getting mad that he creased shoes. Don’t you all realize he played basketball in them they are not even close to DS
Crease them Jordans HAHAHAHA they’re basketball shoes at the end of the day.
well jordan 1... are know to crease right after test wear them....
Exactly he wore them for basketball already so looks are out the window
all these metrosexuals crying about him creasing it lmao
Cheryl hey I just got some new J1 co.jp. I don’t want to care about creases but would you say to just wear them all out and enjoy what you have? Do you think force fields are dumb to protect the bend? I’m on the fence of caring but I don’t want to care lol. If that makes sense.
Dam so true .. there's no way avoiding that

13's are elite
Hopefully Jordan makes Jordan By You so we can make our own.
doubt it since they want to you to buy more all the time..
Doubt that since everyone would just create og pairs likely. And sell them as the “real” version.
I always liked the 5's and 6's for playing in, but the 11's are probably better for me. Very comfortable. Aesthetics, always the IV. Yeah. I buy sneakers from those guys. They buy them, never wear them and then I get them when they get bored of them. I do keep the boxes for if I ever want to sell them. Luke 11:28
But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”🙌
AMEN
Retro 14, retro 7, and retro 11 are best playing shoes on the court.
For some reasons the 14s hurt my feet
What happend to the second dude?
he had to leave due to his job
doesn’t feel the same without him but sammys still doing well props to him for working hard like that
He went into the music industry, his name now is Vanilla Ice.

I have more 13s then any other. Personally i love everything about them. Fit ,form, and function. Plus they look super iconic
I was watching the Last Dance Documentary and Michael said after he played his 1st game with the Jordan 1s, his feet were bleeding
the shoes were a size too small apparently (some website I googled to double check). Socks soaked in blood tho ;'(
Not first time but first time in long time
It was the last time he wore the shoes, when he decided to use it one more time on MSG. To that point the Jordan brand was already in the 13-15 range of shoes, so his feet were used to the better technology. He wore the Jordan 1s for the entire 1984-85 season, he would be insane if he had bleeding feet since the first game and decided to go with the shoe for the 82 games
Just based on looks:
1: 5

I love some of the newer Jordan's like the 34,35 and 36 for playing in, I know they're not retros but they are great for court performance, the 34s are pretty good for outside courts. My top 3 favorite retros for playing in would be the 13's,11's and 5's... If I'm doing a top 5 the 8 and 14 are included
performance wise the 12 lows are my go to outdoor shoes to hoop in
What about the 7s I’m thinking about getting them or the 5
I loved the 9s back in 1995 when I was a So. in HS. The 6s were great for my 8th grade season in 1992 (even though the 7s were out by then.)
Imagine people paying $250 for basketball shoes and being too afraid to play basketball in them
The last dance was amazing!

I love your videos, because they’re very helpful
Yo your collection is illmatic....keep up the good work kid..
The 10s are a softer version of the 11! I think they’re the best old jordan to play in super supportive and soft but traction ain’t the best
Have you been playing in Jordan 10s ?
Those shoes hella comfy!!
They are
The grip is terrible on the 10’s though
the top 2 shoes are also my favorite very comfortable and it really has good traction.
I tend to stand by my Jordan 13s
The 5 is soo good in the court!!!
Uuuuugggghhhhh that crease thoooooooooooooo
The Jordan 1 is the GOAT of tractions
I love 5s and 6s on Court 👌🏽👌🏽
My favorite jordans off court in order 12,13,4,11,7 and on court 10,11,12,13,7

Honestly i have a pair of 1s they’re one of the most uncomfortable Jordan’s to me the id definitely rather play in my 3s, 4s, or 6s they mad comfy and work perfectly for hoops
Chanel is lacking balance that Donny brought.
1s 3s 7s and 11s are my favorites
You totally for got that you did a Jordan 12 dismantled video 3 years ago, in the video you were talking about the full length zoom and the carbon fibre plate everything lol
12s are great for concrete double rim basketball
Bro just started a war with sneaker heads when he “tested the flexibility”💀💀💀
he should review jordan point lane
Y’all couldn’t do this for the LeBron line???
Bro I remember when u used to say you didn't like lows(like 3 years ago) that much because your ankles were weak, but now what the hell happened?
You know, people change opinions, otherwise we would think like a 3 year old for the rest of our lives
Have you tried adding the converse lunarlon insoles? Makes a difference for the 1s to play in. Or get one of those full zoom insoles from amazon.
All the real OG Ballers know 10s and 5s are the best J's to Ball in iykyk 14s and 11s are runner ups tho 👌🏾
Man those 3s were super limited i couldnt cop as much as i tried it was a no go then i see you hooped in em lord i liked to died lol. Keep up the great content bro!!!
Are Jordan 6 good for performance!?
top performance jordans are 11's and 12's.
Me when he started creasing his 14’s:😱
1's have a heel air sole but you can barely feel it and wouldn't even know if it was there.
I am gonna buy basketball shoes for first time.
I have to idea which shoes should I buy?
Him talking about heel compression and all carbon fiber or what not
Me who isn’t a sneaker-head: He’s a genius
14 and 13 are the best performance wise
Sorry late to the party. Why is there only one sole brother now? Why isn't Donny on anymore for reviews?
3:48 aaaaahhhh
How you liken the international flight 12's???,just gottem,I think their the best casual ones
I wanna see sa kyrie s2 hybrid first impressions vid
same I was waiting onnit lmao
Same bro
Don’t know why you base it off of how much they bent in the toe. Like the 34 has that torsion bar that acts like a spring on foot when your moving. It’s not supposed to flex like some flip flops
10s are 🔥👌
POV: you’re watching hell on earth for sneaker heads
I have the AJ3's for casual purposes
29
34
That is all
Wow ttk... that is exactly my go to Jordan list to ball in! Amazing cushioning, traction, court feel and good support.
Be honest the 1s are the best looking
13,4 and 3
Do a does it basketball air max plus
bro jordan max aura4 is the best for me!!!!!
So is Sammy now in full control of the Channel and the income? And that’s why he’s posting so many videos without
