I really enjoyed this typing of Graham and he does seem like an ENFJ to me as well at less from these videos. The 8 function model has always been very interesting to me, because it always seemed possible for a person who has a very underdeveloped inferior function maybe because their literally kids or perhaps they just haven't worked on it yet as adults, that the inferior function can at times be completely skipped over especially when we're younger for simple fact that it's so much of a challenge that it kind of puts us in a state of stress if immature, that could unintentionally force us to skipped over the inferior function and actually use our 5th slot a little more than our 4th slot (when younger) I'm guessing. I think it's quite possible for a person's 5th function to become more developed than the inferior function in a person's earlier years that it becomes natural yet unintentionally pretty good although it's never chosen hence why it's in the 5th slot...
    I guess

As a matter of fact if a "shadow function" like let's say the 5th slot is used more than the 4th would that make the 5th more developed or just overused although used incorrectly. Although it's a shadow function it still would be doing what it's suppose to do as a shadow function so I guess it's developed. 😉🤣

@@RevRideReason I think indeed the 5th function will be better developed than the 4th. The 5th is the shadow of the 1st. The 5th is the Opposition to the Hero. The Hero will be nearly as well acquainted with their enemy as they will with their own potentials, for how else might they overcome their challenge? To leverage potential blindly is perilous. One must know what they are up against and this is knowing the Opposition, the 5th. Thus one develops their 5th, knows their 5th, but rejects it, and so it is banished to the Shadow. Because of this, the Hero can travel through light and dark. In the light, the Hero gleams magnanimously, but without development, since that which already is developed is being illuminated. In the dark, the Hero, having learned what to expect, seeks to challenge his Opposite so that he may grow from the confrontation. In this way he illuminates his shadow and strengthens his Heroism by incorporating more unconscious material into his consciousness, rendering him more able to deal with further confrontation.

@@xaosects very well said... I glad someone as well spoken as you agrees 👍. For a very short period in my life when I was under hugh amounts of stress I believed I could have been a ESTJ than I realized I was pretty much living in my shadow for a while but that 5th slot function really helped me out of some really tuff times. Happy to be on the surface today though.

@@xaosects As you said the 5th is the shadow of the 1st, so would you believe that the 6th could also be stronger than the 4th since it's the shadow of the 2nd in your opinion?

@@RevRideReason Yes. The 5th will be the weakest of all 8, maybe the 7th, trickster, will be similarly weak. In fact, in Socionics the 6th is one of the strongest, as strong, if not greater, than the 1st. The 6th is considered to be the well of unconscious talents, which makes some sense in the non-Socionics land since it's carried by Wise Old Man archetype. The 2nd is differentiated attitudinally from the 6th, so it better be a strong reserve if the 2nd is to carry out its mission well!
