I think the safety car is fine in green, but they really could've recoloured some pieces in teal for the F1 car, because I think teal is the closest Lego color to the real thing. The color is pretty much steering me away from this set and that sucks because it could've been a 10/10 set. However, I don't like how the design is pretty much the exact same as the McLaren one. They could've at least made the side pods a bit different as they were in real life.
Moreover, this Vantage also looks like a lazy replica of 2022 set... And really... If they go to "plain color", with no accents at all, then the color itself should play. Like it was "crazy plum" for Challenger, Gulf (yeah, a little different shade but still 9/10 of needed) for GT40.
They already have some Ferrari 8-wide supercars. Lego won't mess with Red Bull because Red Bull is an energy drink and Lego won't market energy drinks to minors.
@bricksblocksandmocs has a really good Ford Raptor moc. Lego should do some stuff like that. It would be great to see lego do some truck sets since there are so many people who just don't care about racing and super cars.
@@mcwithduoyeah but unfortunately it is called “speed champions” but I would love to see some normal road cars, maybe even as a separate theme that way racing fans can get super cars, and casual fans can get normal road cars
@@Wozzabunnyofficial_37 for real. IBrickedItUp on ReBrickAble did some cars they called "Everyday Champions," mostly trucks, mom vans, and service vehicles. Mostly six-wide, but some great ideas in there that could be really cool in speed champions scale.
@@Wozzabunnyofficial_37 There's quite a few (kinda) speedy trucks, like the Dodge RAM SRT-10, Ford SVT Lightning, or the GMC Syclone. Also, an everyday car type of theme is cool to think about, sort of like a Lego City car theme, but they're real branded cars. Even then, if Speed Champions went back to a more than just cars type of deal (back when they still did garages and semi trucks), it would make sense to have iconic pick-up trucks as a transport truck, kind of like how they did with the Ford Model A Hot Rod and the Ford F-150 Raptor.
I think the safety car would look awesome in all black. Without the stickers. I love the speed champions series because of the crazy build techniques. They keep the builds interesting. While green cars can look cool, I hope to see more of the blue used in the dark horse mustang. That mustang is probably one of the best SC sets I have built.
Lego needs to ease up on the translucent black. I want to be able to see the driver while the car is being displayed. Yes it is obvious that SC cars are more of a display than play nowadays. With this new color one has to remove the windshield to properly showcase the driver behind the steering wheel.
The colour is supposed to be British Racing Green or Emerald Green as its originally known. The photos on the box make the car look more blue than it is. Watch any daytime F1 race and the Astons look very green. The blue really shows on night races. To me the colour is good enough for a Lego set, possibly as close as they can get to true BRG.
Not as green as this one though. I agree that teal is not the right colour but neither is the one from Lego. I just have to look at my miniature AMR22 Also: a quick google search gives different shades of green for the British racing colour, but I’m not British so I don’t know
@@danrib4048 it could have been a bit darker but then I dont think the model would 'pop' the same way it does. I think if you showed the AMR23 model to any F1 fan even without the stickers or telling them the team name it would still be recognised as an Aston Martin F1 car. Its not bright enough to be a Sauber!
What i could do with the parts in this set is the same thing i did with a couple of Ferrari sets which is make a non police version of the 2024 police patrol car
This is my biggest complain about Speed Champions, that in many cars minifigures can’t have their hairpieces. Only most basic ones fit in many SC vehicles
@@alantorrance1475 Yes, in Indy/NASCAR , the car that starts the race and comes out for yellow flags is called the "Pace Car". I guess in F1 it's called the "Safety Car". Although i like this set i definetly wont be getting it, i already have the previous vantage and that one has a nicer "mouth" build, plus i also have the mclaren f1 which is basically the same as the aston martin so theres no real reason other than the color or the f1 team for people that have the afformentioned sets
I hate it. I hate this entire wave. I think it’s the worst we’ve ever had. One set is the complete wrong colour, there’s some stupid, ugly concept car that doesn’t look right and then there’s a _G Class._ And I hate Aramco

Will definitely add to my f1 collection...now just need lego to sign a deal with Red Bull or Ferrari to get then in 8-wide

I’d like to see more trucks in the speed champions line

Ya because nothing screams “speed” like a….truck 🥴

Yeah but this is based of the actual livery of the F1 Aston Martin vantage safety car.
The fact someone at Aston Martin approved lego using the wrong Green is baffling...
They literally have a dark torquise color, too. Like, WTF?????
I think LEGO did a great done on the F1 cars this year. - Nicely done on the review of this set.
The Vantage has a color that could be used in a regular real world supercar, well known by their weird exotic colors...
I love the f1 cars!!
I want all the teams
6:17 some pieces aren't pressed down all the way and that's bothering me so much lol
Thank you for your excellent video!
I really wish the minifigure had been Fernando Alonso 😢
At least it's not Lance Stroll.

What would you're ranking of the 3 June sets be?
I may as well get the lotus instead of that
I wonder if teal wasn’t an option because of the Jaguar Formula E set?
Aston Martin f1 isn’t teal. They are dark green.

Honestly, enough about the colour, it’s Lego, and also, Aston Martin chose that colour themselves
fr
You forgot to put the stickers in😂
I think aston chose the colour themselves
I think the vantage looks awesome as a car it’s just the colour that bugs me
the rear wheels have put me off both the mclaren and aston martin, looks weird
Belle ma non credo che entreranno a far parte della mia collezione
I want a Koegnissegg gemera
Embarrassing for Lego considering Sauber Team is now green and black can’t believe Aston Martin ok this
idk why but every aston martin set they release they have to mess up something and sets turn out kinda meh
Safety car/Pace Car .. I swear, open wheel has a different word for EVERYTHING.
F1 has never referred to it as a pace car... is that an Indy/nascar term?

The colours and the F1 driver is disappointing
yeah im sick of this "inclusivity", its just not accurate
Why do Lego include women min figs when there has not been an active female F1 driver since 92 and these are recent F1 models?

ok
terrible green
female driver for the f1😂
It’s actually lance
this is by far the worst speed champions wave i remember
First?
Yup!
Terrible color
