I took the leap of faith and purchase a low mileage certified used 2011 CX-7 SVI trim 2.5L with a 5spd Auto. back in 2013. Still going strong in 2013 with 308K miles. It’s been pretty good for me and I’m still happy with it. I have 2 newer Mercedes-Benz cars and SUV’s for comparison. Definitely much less in ownership cost.
The headlights are a joke. Especially the stock halogen bulbs. Impossible to change without having to take off the tire and fender wheel wall. What a pain. Also the blower keeps randomly going out at times. It's been strong for about a month with no blower issues. But I heard it's a problem.
Uh and why? You give no reasons, just bs. The 2.5L is a bullet proof engine. And once mazda broke away from Ford quality went way up especially after toyota bought it and took over. There are tons cx7 with over 300k miles. And the cx5 new version of the cx7 are better and more reliable than a toyota rav4

If you listen to all these youtube videos you would never buy any car
Exactly, I'm going through that now
EXCELLENT review, you covered the main issues off perfectly. Great work.
Add to this list the headlights are a pain in the azz to change
I mean, they had to think hard about how to make it so difficult.
My cx7 the manual is all in Japanese.. love the car, but with the price of premium gas here in nz, it's quite pricey to run.. and extra 50c per litre

Cx7 2010, 11 and 12 don't have a lot of issues people claiming most of them don't have the car. I still own a 2010 cx7 2.5 NO turbo works perfectly.
do you have an email adress im interested in acquiring this page
Cuatailico
My advice is to not buy a cx7 at all. Avoid. If someone gives you one then sell it.
And buy used bmw..😅

Still have my cx7 2010 no issues runs and drives great.
