I bought a used 2011 Mazda CX-7 base model 2.5 5 speed auto last May. 152,000 kms when I bought it, one owner, dealer serviced. It’s currently at 167,000 kms. Had to replace an O2 sensor and just did the brakes a couple weeks back. It’s a solid little tank, good for my commute to work and back, very comfortable. I don’t regret buying it as my insurance is also cheap and so is the maintenance.

great handling on this car, I owned a 2008 CX-7 GT AWD. The engine had a lot of power for a 4 cylinder turbo. The car was discontinued for reasons mazda refused to come clean. The were a lot of people that experience engine and turbo failure due to the fact the car would burn excessive oil, turbo needed maintenance about 60K miles and if the dealer worked on the car it would be ridiculously expensive to rebuild the turbo. In some cases the engine failure occurred prior to the 36k mile warranty and owners had a difficult time getting any help from dealers. Since the poor design of the engine and size of the car it made no sense to have a Cx7 and CX5 with similar power train. Mazda claimed at the time, the engine was improved with Sky-active technology, high compression ratio engine, better gas mileage and better engine design in comparison to CX-7 2.4 turbo. My car needed new piston, new turbo and the engine needed to be drain due to the excessive amount of oil that it was burning. You dont see many of the CX7 on the road due to that engine, true the leather looked like crap but I will give it to Mazda it had great handling. My car lasted 64K miles before it was traded over to Acura MDX 2011 with SH-AWD. I now have 100K miles on my Acura and I love the handling of the car as well as the reliability. At the time my MDX did look like a luxury SUV and even know it still looks and performs well with proper maintenance. True there was a plain jane 4 cylinder with no turbo but that was a slow car, not fun to drive, thus I bought the Turbo.
Very true, had a 2007 GT but after the 3 year warranty ran out, decided to trade it in for a 2010 Sport Model with the 2.5L Naturally Aspirated Engine. Had already started experiencing engine troubles that lead to the catastrophic timing chain break. At the time Mazda would not recognize the problem that was clearly a design flaw of the engine. Plus the refresh stylings fixes a lot of the issues I had with the 2007 GT Model. The 2010-2012 Sport 2.5L is I think was the most reliable, albeit slightly underpowered. I can't vouch for the reliability of the 2009 to 2012 2.3 Turbo reliability but Mazda did make adjustments to that engine. I still use my 2010 CX7 Sport 2.5L. Basic oil change every 3000 miles, and interior has held up amazingly. Specially the cloth seats. Much better than the leather versions. The car is still my daily driver. Im on a second set of these. I get around 50K miles out of these tires. 308K miles on my Mazda now. Definitely looks, drives and feels more like a legit crossover vehicle even though it’s only FWD.
I bought a cx7 10yrs ago brand new. 150,000mi later still have it and runs great. No problems so far. It’s a 2010 with a 2.5l 2wd. It’s a lot of fun. Common sense if you have the CX7 non turbo and no AWD, engine gets less stress all around. The high RPM, temperature and pressure of the valves and pistons causes premature wear on the engine. When my turbo failed it was about 59k miles, shorty after my pistons also failed. I drove the non turbocharged CX7 but it was not a fun a car. At that point i rather drive a Honda With a very reliable 4 cylinder engine instead of buying a Mazda. The Disi engine sounds like that. It’s off-putting because it sound diesel’ish but it is normal due to the direct injection
I know it's for Philippines why it is in Australia/Us/Uk?
My client and friend at Renton uses cx7
Your engine sounds like it threw a rod. And you're "losing traction" because they forgot to put a drive shaft in your car.
NEver seen a switch to lower the lights? Literally on every vehicle with a trailer hitch ever.
In 10 moths I'm very pleased my used (180K km) CX7, no isues whatsoever, diesel pusher 173hp... this SUV is worth every penney!
I'm SORRY FOR THIS SPOILED LEXUS SUCKER.

I purchased that car new and kept it for less than two years, it was a 2011 AWD model. Total disappointment, bad gas mileage and I never felt claimed 244 hp. Overall not well put together vehicle, CX5 is much better car but it could use some more power.
Thats not Ram-air, nor was that the air intake. Clearly visible to the right.

For that little bit of zoom zoom you definitely pay for it at the at the petrol bowser these 2.3 l turbocharged engines really not all that fuel-efficient lugging this heavy car around
2.3 L turbo are big failure. Mine died at 140k km.
Deam out lights sir--
Williams Ramos what does that mean ?
Phod the lights do ?
Nice video, except for the clueless reviewer. Something must be wrong with the transmission if you're flooring it and the tires spin when it's raining outside. Definitely the transmission...or maybe it's just you. I'm going to miss him. Lol.
Worst vehicle I've ever had
მამალი მანქანა

Yeshua Hamashiach is God in the flesh, the Son of God, the Word of God, and he died so that you may be presented blameless in the sight of the Father. And so you may inherit his kingdom. The LORD Yeshua Hamashiach is the only way to the Father and his kingdom. Repent of your sins accept him into your life as your LORD and Savior before it's too late, every day is not guaranteed.
John 14:6
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.
