I bought a used 2011 Mazda CX-7 base model 2.5 5 speed auto last May. 152,000 kms when I bought it, one owner, dealer serviced. It’s currently at 167,000 kms. Had to replace an O2 sensor and just did the brakes a couple weeks back. It’s a solid little tank, good for my commute to work and back, very comfortable.
I don’t regret buying it as my insurance is also cheap and so is the maintenance.

I bought a 2011 Mazda, CX-7 about seven years ago it had 142,000 miles on it it now has 186,000 miles on it. I’ve driven it from Ohio to Arizona and back a couple of times and from Ohio to Quebec and back a few times. It’s the best car I’ve ever had, comfortable and reliable and pretty good on gas. I stay up on all the maintenance to make sure I can keep this beautiful car as long as I can.

I drive a more basic Cx-7, but it’s 2010. I see jerkoffs buying the new Lambo cross-suv, the look almost the same. If you have the money and don’t buy a classic bad ass car that you could buy with Lambo money, you’re only into clout. If that is an actual word. People are spending so much money on a car that looks like mine that’s 11 years old. Does that say anything about us???

@@pre2222 its totally fine man, mine has about 130 k miles, the only downside to it is since its all wheel drive if you get a flat and have to replace the tire, you gotta replace all 4, unless you have the same brand tire as the shops tire cause then they'll sand it down to the other tires milimeter, cause on all wheel drive cars the wheels arent free and they have to spin at the same time so if you gotta new tire thats not the same wear as the other ones it'll slowly kill your transmission, just got my tires all replaced today. and an oil change for good luck. i recommend man, that you always get your oil changed at least every 5000 miles and TAKE IT EASY ON YOUR TIRES, avoid potholes, NEVER HIT A CURB, if you wanna go fast get a motorcycle and that's it. take it easy with the transmission, mines totally fine, when i park it i put it in nutreal, emergency brake, then park so theres no toll on the transmission

great handling on this car, I owned a 2008 CX-7 GT AWD. The engine had a lot of power for a 4 cylinder turbo. The car was discontinued for reasons mazda refused to come clean. The were a lot of people that experience engine and turbo failure due to the fact the car would burn excessive oil, turbo needed maintenance about 60K miles and if the dealer worked on the car it would be ridiculously expensive to rebuild the turbo. In some cases the engine failure occurred prior to the 36k mile warranty and owners had a difficult time getting any help from dealers. Since the poor design of the engine and size of the car it made no sense to have a Cx7 and CX5 with similar power train. Mazda claimed at the time, the engine was improved with Sky-active technology, high compression ratio engine, better gas mileage and better engine design in comparison to CX-7 2.4 turbo. My car needed new piston, new turbo and the engine needed to be drain due to the excessive amount of oil that it was burning. You dont see many of the CX7 on the road due to that engine, true the leather looked like crap but I will give it to Mazda it had great handling. My car lasted 64K miles before it was traded over to Acura MDX 2011 with SH-AWD. I now have 100K miles on my Acura and I love the handling of the car as well as the reliability. At the time my MDX did look like a luxury SUV and even know it still looks and performs well with proper maintenance. True there was a plain jane 4 cylinder with no turbo but that was a slow car, not fun to drive, thus I bought the Turbo.

Very true, had a 2007 GT but after the 3 year warranty ran out, decided to trade it in for a 2010 Sport Model with the 2.5L Naturally Aspirated Engine. Had already started experiencing engine troubles that lead to the catastrophic timing chain break. At the time Mazda would not recognize the problem that was clearly a design flaw of the engine. Plus the refresh stylings fixes a lot of the issues I had with the 2007 GT Model.
The 2010-2012 Sport 2.5L is I think was the most reliable, albeit slightly underpowered. I can't vouch for the reliability of the 2009 to 2012 2.3 Turbo reliability but Mazda did make adjustments to that engine.
I still use my 2010 CX7 Sport 2.5L. Only repairs I've done is:
      02 sensor replacement. (DIY-After 10 Years
Internal AC Blower Fan Replacement. (DIY - After 10 years)
Water Pump Replacement (After 12 years.)
      Starter Replacement. (After 11 years)
      12V Battery replacement.
      Headlight bulb replacement
      Tires.
Still on the original brake pads that are now approaching replacement time.
Basic oil change every 3000 miles, and interior has held up amazingly. Specially the cloth seats. Much better than the leather versions.
The car is still my daily driver. Although city gas mileage is not that great 14 MPG. Looking to switch to something like a hybrid SUV, like a used Lexus RX-450h or maybe a more efficient and updated 2019 -20 CX-5 till the CX-70 comes out and see it's reliability and price.

I went with wider 235/65R17 Hankook all terrain tires on the original 17” wheels on my 2.5L I lost a few mpgs, a little noisier on the road, slightly slower acceleration and braking. Im on a second set of these. I get around 50K miles out of these tires. 308K miles on my Mazda now. Definitely looks, drives and feels more like a legit crossover vehicle even though it’s only FWD.

I bought a cx7 10yrs ago brand new. 150,000mi later still have it and runs great. No problems so far. It’s a 2010 with a 2.5l 2wd. It’s a lot of fun. One engineering que I like is how the engine is the opposite of most. The hot exhaust is ran between the block and firewall as oppose to it coming out the front of the engine and going under the oil pan.... BTW, the screen is about the size of your cell screen..

I have a 2011 CX7 and it's great. I do not agree about the 2.3 turbo (not reliable with high miles). Mine is the 2.5 not turbo and it has plenty of power. The 2.5 is not turbo and it will way outlast the 2.3 turbo.

    • @danielmelendez9943

Common sense if you have the CX7 non turbo and no AWD, engine gets less stress all around. The high RPM, temperature and pressure of the valves and pistons causes premature wear on the engine. When my turbo failed it was about 59k miles, shorty after my pistons also failed. I drove the non turbocharged CX7 but it was not a fun a car. At that point i rather drive a Honda With a very reliable 4 cylinder engine instead of buying a Mazda. I walked into a Honda dealer and traded my blown out turbo and faulty engine for a brand new accord 2013 dx, which has surpassed 100k miles with basic oil change, brake, tires and a faulty gasket which was replaced at 50k miles due to excessive oil leaking out of the engine.

I purchased that car new and kept it for less than two years, it was a 2011 AWD model. Total disappointment, bad gas mileage and I never felt claimed 244 hp. Overall not well put together vehicle, CX5 is much better car but it could use some more power.

Nice video, except for the clueless reviewer. Something must be wrong with the transmission if you're flooring it and the tires spin when it's raining outside. Definitely the transmission...or maybe it's just you. I'm going to miss him. Lol.

Yeshua Hamashiach is God in the flesh, the Son of God, the Word of God, and he died so that you may be presented blameless in the sight of the Father. And so you may inherit his kingdom. The LORD Yeshua Hamashiach is the only way to the Father and his kingdom. Repent of your sins accept him into your life as your LORD and Savior before it's too late, every day is not guaranteed.
    John 14:6
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.
    May God bless you all.
