Thanks for the info. Did not know that there’s a difference in the install between the manual and auto parking break. About to change mine to the drilled and slotted setup. I’ll be sure to give you credit on my channel. Thanks again 🤙🏼
On every brake job, I always pull out the slide pins on the caliber. Clean them up and add high heat nickel anti-seize. This will prevent the caliber from seizing and pulsing brakes. I think this is a must.
Great video my man. Very informative
I tell you this tire is the best I install my one 2 year ago still new good for snow ❄️ and for every day driving
Fantastic video, thanks, oh yea BEAUTIFUL TRUCK!
Good vid...the mobile tool box is genius
I like those tires and rims. I still have my stock on.
Im not 100 percent sure but fins on rotors should be other way around?
Do you know of a video of a Ford truck rear caliper with electric parking brake where the caliper needs to be replaced, and separated from the electric part? Need to know how to separate both components since the caliper is defective but am keeping the electric part. THUMBS UP!!!
How do I adjust the parking brake again???
I was browsing the Ford owners manual this morning and noticed they claim the truck should never be lifted from the rear differential.
What did you do to get the parking brake to let go. That black rubber washer you removed and started rotating. What were you doing there?
Don’t forget to torque your lug nuts to the correct specs! Star pattern! Very important!
Where do I get the tailgate applique* ? At like the :28-:30 second mark of video?
Great video, it’s better to bleed the fluid out of the calipers and not push it back into the lines, it can be an expensive fix.
Which way did you move the park brake adjuster to get the rotor off?
It was so long ago I don't recall. I went back and forth until it loosened up
I'm in the middle of my job and was wondering the same thing. That would've helped.
Dont forget about the adjuster on the parking brake ..did you go over that?
I’m not for certain but I’m pretty sure after you get the rotor down and everything fastened you can go back and adjust that wheel until it’s tight and then back it off one or two pods. Basically you’re moving McAllister closer to it. I’m going up on the driver side and down on the passenger side so you want to get it until it touches and then come back off just a little bit.
So counter clockwise to loosen e brake ?
Thanks
There is up and down, no clockwise. It has been so long I do not remember if it was up or down
where are you to get rust that fast on a 2016? thanks for the vid
Michigan
Is the parking brake self adjusting when you back up?
Yes
Auto Dad thanks for the reply.
Thanks for the video! Are you still happy with the brakes/rotors? My rears are in need of replacing and I am considering the power stop also.
They are great. Still no rust on the zinc coated rotors
Can I just replace the pads and keep the rotors?
If the rotors are in good shape yes
What tires are they?
Nitto Exo Grapplers
Greetings.. Are You happy with this product?
Best brakes I have used yet
So which way do i turn the adjustment wheel? Kind of important, don't ya think?
Agreed haha working on mine now and am confused!
@@thedjtko ok, so just like my camper. Wheel up on one side and down on the other. Roll wheel down on drivers side to loosen parking brake. Roll wheel up on pass side to loosen parking brake. Then bang the hell out of it. I rolled pass side wrong way and jammed it until i couldn't move it either way. I drove it after spraying wheel with Wd40. I guess it heated pretty good because it was making a bunch of noise. I checked the wheel next morning and it spun nice and easy. I was then able to get the rotor off and finish brake job.
@@slater4041 Awesome! Your feedback helped a lot! Thanks.
It is, but it's impossible to show every detail thoroughly when you are 1) doing the job, 2) learning as you go (which is inevitable when working on cars) and 3) trying to hold the camera. It won't take too long to figure out which way to turn it.
They don't tell you do do this when you buy a new car.
