Grace .. another great Stewart interpretation of a great Folk song.Folk was Rod's first love and here he has found another Gem as usual by chance .This will echo round stadiums and arenas for years to come .. a show stopper which he comes up with regularly He can either have you tripping the light fantastic one minute or move you so strongly you can barely speak .The greatest on stage performer since Jolson and been at it over 50 years.Just do that Faces Reunion before you finish and we will all did happy!!
Bro! Im a musician entertainer from Aruba and tonight someone begged me to play this! Im home now researching and im with tears in my eyes! What a moving story and soul touching song! ❤
what an utter disgrace you are rod ! a disgrace to Scotland, the country you say you love, while you sing a song about people killing British soldiers and the so called love in prison of a murderer , learn your history, like Connery, great to be a Scottish patriot in the u s a , or have you for got the bombs in London by the i r a ware you were born, Londoners haven't, disgrace rod !
Absolutely love Rod steward he’s a one off , loved his reaction to being given the book & meeting the two men who wrote “Grace “ , but let’s NEVER. Forget Jim McCann’s version of Grace as well because it was phenomenal & his amazing balladeer voice suited this song so well & I’m sure even Rod would agree with me on this .... Rod is a great character & there aren’t enough like him in the music industry... Really enjoyed his interview..,, & Ryan it might b nicer to say “ now u knw ur in Ireland as opposed to just Dublin “ just saying because the audience were frm all over Ireland not just Dublin..
Since when has this bleary eyed old drunk been Scottish?Grace.. a load of pish. The Sash No Surrender Derrys wa and many more Ulster Scots and Orange songs are are brilliant songs that will be sang in thousands of years. Fuck rod the drunk.Fuck Grace! its a load of nauseating tripe.!!
Probably one of the greatest love stories of all time. When I hear the whole Celtic support sing 'Grace' it never fails to bring me to tears. That Rod Stewart, who has sung so many wonderful songs over the decades, chose to add this beautiful song to his catalogue, is testament to its all encompassing melody and profoundly moving lyrics. With thanks to those two lovely gentlemen for giving the world such a gift.
Never realised these guys actually wrote Grace 🍀🇮🇪🍀credit to you 👏🏻, Green Brigade introduced it to us Celtic fans 🍀🍀🍀 and it’s a heartbreaking song & Rod put finish touches to it & enlightened everyone to the story 🍀💚🍀
Rod was just magnificent on the Late Late Show. He really has connected with Grace Gifford and Joseph Mary Plunkett through this song. Their story has really touched his heart.
It's a beautiful song, written by these 2 wonderful men. Rod shows his gratitude to be able to sing this song, especially when he goes up to meet them and hug them. A beautiful moment.
Phil Coulter played in South Africa too. So will you tell him he has no right to write "The Town I Loved So Well"? Yes, those artists who played in S Africa should be held accountable, but to say they should not be allowed to sing certain songs is silly.
I can’t help but feeling that hearing Rod singing Grace makes me wants to cry, I’ve heard it through passing but it’s such a powerful song, when I was in Kilmainham Gaol a couple of years ago I was in the chapel with the song playing on my phone and I could feel getting moved
I love this beautiful song. I have it on my Playlist by at least 4 artist and listen to it daily. It took me days before I could listen without ugly crying.
Eugene McElhinney, don’t flatter yourself, I wasn’t talking to you. You’re one to talk about punctuation even though you started a sentence with ‘And’ and put no comma after my name.
@@Aaronn14 Apologies Aaron. I thought your original text was directed at me. I didn't type your name, so no comma. " And " had conversational / informal register licence. That's another sentence starting with " And " !!! Sorry again for the misunderstanding.
Rod is a lovely man! My god remember we met him walking in Cork after a gig! We were star 💫 struck he was so nice and spoke to us for about 5 mins about the area
Rod Stewart your a wonderful person ❤️ gog bless I have been following you for years great great musical comes naturally those were sad times no need for but it's still going on Russia and Ukraine so sad putan and those people should be wiped of the face of the world God bless you and your new home in Dublin
l play this precious song all the time. lt's so touching, that l cant get through it with out crying. Sir Rod Stewart's sings this special story with his heartfelt amazing voice, that it puts you in that moment in time that last forever. The gentlemen that wrote this song did an incredible ,honorable job.❤❤❤
His singing of Grace is so beautiful and the way he told the story behind it. He is a true artist. It reminds all of us about Ireland's history and what our forefathers endured for freedom. We are free because of them! Hope the day will come when everyone in every corner of the earth enjoys freedom to live as God intended. Yes. It can happen. God bless.
That song is a lot more than just "an addition to the cannon" that song is in essence: The Revolution : In Fact! : That song represents the UNFINISHED REVOLUTION! : SAORADH!
Love song so much it remined me of my dear cousin who i lost in may last year and.all i think about is her and wen i hear that song i cry my eyes out as it is one of the most beautiful songs ever jane b
How did they no invite the two gentlemen upon the stage they’re just as great as Rod probably greater makes me sad to know great men go more unnoticed than celebrities I do love Rod but something isny right here 💚🍀
The writers of songs rarely perform them, they get their buzz from capturing an idea on paper. It takes a different kind of person to stand on a stage craving adulation yet fearing public failure. Writers and performers do it for very different reasons. Both are creative in their own way. Each to his own, as long as the result is as beautiful as Grace, why worry?
Watching you sitting in front of those two men who wrote the song. Grace. The way you got off the stage and walked up to those two gentlemen and hugged them. You could really feel the love❤ that you felt and the gratitude that you had for these two gentlemen who wrote Grace. It's at moments and times like this that I really appreciate who you are as a person.❤ You really are a wonderful man. Wow!
Great song but the introduction is not part of the original song. Kevin Connolly composed and arranged the introduction to Grace and owns the copyright to it and is not getting royalties from it! I don’t suppose Rod is aware of this and if he reads this then he is and should contact Kevin about it.
Omg I love Rod Stewart I love everything about him He is so honest and open He don't care what people think of him And of course it go's without saying I love his music

The great Jim McCann sometimes of The Dubliners sang it best since the late 80's Sir Rod just likes to jump on the bandwagon .

Hypocrite, played sun city under apartheid and Israel, has no right to sing such a song.

That song is unbelievably beautiful, we will be united sooner than later, god bless all the beautiful freedom fighters 🇮🇪☘️
How patronising and ironic for the subject matter when rod suggests that the guys were drunk when they penned this beautiful song!
It's a shame RTE EUSSR promoting the downfall of Irish history and her traditions.
