I use Logitech mk240 used and abused for the past 14 years. Not exactly clicky sounder but works.... Has a dongle connection... Combo mouse... Media controls... Is compact... Easy to clean... And easily repairable...

I have purchased it only concern is the design of keycaps, they have really small contact surface so you have to be very precise with your typing accidentally hitting two keys is a lot common

Long term user feedback - It keeps going to sleep after 20-30 seconds and I have to wake it up with multiple clicks… further, keys are too close and sometimes I do mistype things… Function keys are not easy to use at all
Don’t spend big-money on a mechanical keyboard if it is not Hotswap. Few switches suddenly stop working in the second year - due to dust & physical reasons. If Hotswap means, can just replace faulty switch easily. If Non-Hotswap, need to replace switch by soldering.

RedragonK530Pro @ ₹3.6K was a good deal. Whenever it’s not used it stays inside a ZIPLockCover(₹10). Based on experience, storing & maintaining mechKB is important too.

Portronics always come up with quality with affordability. I've been using portronics key 5 combo for about 1.5 years, got it for 799/- and it's the best for that price. It's not mechanical but wireless and comes with a mouse. Only the negative part was the after sale service, you'll have to make your own Arrangements to claim warranty and deliver it to their place
I just bought a different one under 2000. It has blue switches, hot swappable, it can be wired or wireless. And most importantly, it has height adjustment tool.

It’s also hot swappable, so for its price that’s really a little over 1000 right now, I think it’s not bad. Also, don’t hate blue switches.
I'm a professional typist and still, I think a number pad would be nice.... only full-size mechanical I have seen around this range is the shadow blade... which is with noisy blue switches.... anything with brown would had been nice...

If you don’t care about sound or modding your keyboard then you should get a membrane wireless keyboard instead.

i have been using this keyboard for 7-8 months now and i must say its awsm, and despite the price it does not feel cheap at all, have good heft to it, and very decent battery life, it last me about 4-5days needing to charge again.
What about durability? I have been using cosmic byte mechanical + wireless keyboard for more than 3 years... pretty solid keyboard, working smooth even after 3 years.
Final verdict on this keyboard It could have been an ultimate mod keyboard at cheap price if it could only have hotswappable keys. New keyboards have 2500mah battery and also it is a 2 pin connector u can find a cheap 5000mah battery and replace it. Also add sound dampener foam and it will work like a charm

I bought it one week ago. And I liked the keyboard very much. But the RGB turns off in just 1 min of inactivity, that's what makes it kind of boring. Everything else is fine. I wanted RGB effects to stay for much longer but this makes me sad. I even tried to contact portronics is this how the RGB works for this keyboard but they never told me the actual time for RGB inactivity time is 1 minute they straight says to courier the keyboard to check the problem. I'm disappointed with the customer care service.

Buy redragon k617 fizz instead. It has hot swappable switches, lubed stabilizers, best rgb in this segment, and heigh adjustment. It’s wired only but it’s worth it.
red is better than brown and blue, at this price point blue and brown will only be clicky and noise and get stuck a lot. Speaking from my own experiences
@@grey8962 everything is a preference thing, talking to most people who know about keyboards. They definitely prefer red switches especially at lower price points. The blue switches have a click sound to confirm your press, but stuff like that only sounds good and feels good with good quality materials which is rare at lower price points.
