I own eq6 s300 too and had a curious problem with it this morning. The milk dispenser was spattering and not dispensing enough milk in the drinks. Turns out that the water filter collects air inside it while filling the tank over at the sink and that air bubble was causing inadequate flow of water to the machine. Also if anyone is wondering, this machine works with plant based "milks" flawlessly.
Hey Waza! Thanks for the information, I wouldn't expect that! Actually I was wondering can I make a café latte with my Alpro protein milk? Ill try it this week to see how it goes!
So does this mean you are supposed to fill up the water at the machine instead using a jug? I've had this problem with my machine and was wondering what the cause is.... Is there any way to fix the issue once you get air in the water filter?
@@cameronblack7984 I've stopped using filters, since our water is relatively mineral free. There is another reason that causes this issue too. The small plastic part that connects the milk hose sometimes collects a deposit that interferes with the normal operation of the frother. It is relative easy to disassemble and clean with the help of a electronics flat head screwdriver.
Good demo. I just drink one cup per day so even if the machine is overkill for my needs I think I will enjoy playing around with it. I bought it because I have been disappointed with my other method of choice, namely a Eureka Mignon solo grinder paired with a Sage coffee maker. If I am still not satisfied with the coffee I will just add whisky instead of milk.
Thanks! Just bought this machine and very happy so far. I was wondering where the filter went, now I know :) for the ground coffee option I used 2 of those spoons. not all drink options are available if using grounds. I made a few drinks where only water dripped into my milk foam….
I'm glad that you are happy with the machine, can you tell me when did only water dripped into the milk foam? I never experienced it before and I would like to try to figure it out. About the ground coffee, personally I haven't used that feature so far so I didn't know for what drinks you can use it.
Thank you for the comment, to be honest Ill need to check, I believe its because of the way pipes in the head are connected, but Ill dig into it and let you know!
@@yuleowens6441 hello Yule! Yes I did take a look at it two weeks ago but to be honest I forgot to come back to you. I'm really sorry about that so I promise today in the afternoon I will have the answer for you!
@@yuleowens6441 ok so basically what I have discovered on my coffe machine it has two coffe nozzles but only one milk one. Basically that is the reason he can make double drinks only the ones that dont include milk. I presume it works on a way that he passes the (steam probbably) and that creates lower pressure area to pull the milk trough the hose warms it up and comes in to the glass trough the milk nozzle. On the bottom side of the dispensing head he has 3 nozzles. Two for coffe and one for the milk. If you have any more questions please let me know! And thanks for supporting my channel!
Hello MrC! Thank you for your comment, it means a lot to me. This setting really depends on the type of the coffe you put in, a lot of coffe makers actually define should the beans be ground finer or more coarse. If you cant find that info I would suggest to put it in the middle and maybe experiment a bit in different positions. Best way to taste the difference is with a shoot of espresso.
Hi. 1. Is there any way the coffee could be hotter - for any or al the options available. I have tried sometimes warming the milk prior to using it in the machine but I am uncertain as to whether I am damaging the machine. 2. When you go in to the menu, it has cortado listed in the settings however that isn't an option on the face of the machine. Could you possibly shed some light as I do love a cortado
First of all I want to thank you for the comment, it really means a lot to me. Regarding the first question about the temperature, you have in the settings, you can set it between high, max. and normal. Furthermore, as far as I know the milk should be either cold or room temperature, but I don't know if hotter milk has any effect on the coffee machine. Secondly, I'm sorry to hear that, but on my model there is no cortado in the settings, just the ones which you can see on the face of the coffee machine.
Hi, just to like to find out please, do you get any coffee reside into the milk, if you want to have milk only. Since milk is coming from the Caffee spout and doesn’t have separate milk container with spout. Thanks
Hello Jay! Thank you for the comment! I tested it couple of times and didn't see any residue in the milk. (device when powering up and shutting down does a small self clean of internal pipes anyway so I dont think this should be a problem). I am really sorry for late reply
I don't think so, but you could just use warm milk function and add the chocolate in to the cup, since what ever you put in the powder drawer will get filtered and discarded in the machine.
Hey Isgak! Well I just tested it today (honestly after I set it up the first time I didn't readjust it) but from fine to coarse its easier to turn then the vice versa) but I don't think you should have your hands in the grinder while beans are grinded. If you are afraid that you would brake it I would suggest to make sure that the grinder is empty then there should be no force on the grinder and it should turn smoothly! I hope it helps!
Looks very nice and easy to program however i prefer stainless steel to so much plastic. I am also wondering if the grinder is a burr grinder or blade grinder. Thanks for a very well described video.
It's better to use Brita/ Dafi jug instead of dedicated Siemens filter - it's easier for machine's pump to work... That's what a salesman at Bosch-Siemens showroom told me... ;)
Since I bought mine second hand I also didn't get a water filter but please keep in mind that is a consumable part, you can google the cleaning set for it in that you will receive one filter, one set of cleaning tabs and three descaling tabs!
In another video they said you can clean the milk nozzle when it’s in its designated hole… is that incorrect, or am i telling you something new? 🙂 By the way, i love the albert heijn reclame 😉
Hello! Thank you for your comment! Unfortunately this is not true due to the need of the nozzle to pull the clean hot water trough the milk hose and nozzle. When the nozzle is in its designated hole the water cant be sucked in since there is no water in that part. Also the machine itself asks you to put a empty glass below it. So machine first dispenses some water to the glass then it pulls it trough the milk system. I found this official Siemens video just to confirm ruclips.net/video/o4arTRfDuv8/видео.html :D Also I want to thank you for the comment! :DDD

Hey. How is the machine a year later?
Fantastic and really thorough review. Definitely helped me in making my purchase. Thank you
glad to help
Thank you for your review :), was very helpful
Nice video! 😊
How often do you take brewing unit out? For cleaning?
Thank you! Since I make quite a lot of coffee during the week (20-40) usually every weekend when I wash the all the trays in the machine.
Very awesome review! For me as a coffee lover this type of coffee machine would be ideal
Thank you! By now I had tested more than 20 brands of beans but personally Im big fan of Hausbrandt and Julius Meinl!
Really good review! What is the difference between s100 and s300?
Hey Simon! Honestly I wouldn't know for sure, after I got this one I stopped the research.
Is it still working BRO
your videos are very good and have a wide message thank you

And how can we set it ?

I don't think so, but you could just use warm milk function and add the chocolate in to the cup, since what ever you put in the powder drawer will get filtered and discarded in the machine.
is the grinder wheel to adjust hard to turn? can you only adjust it while the beans are grinding?

For me it was a little hard to turn it also, and yes, it's only allowed to turn it while the grinding process is on. Otherwise you damage the grinder.
Looks very nice and easy to program however i prefer stainless steel to so much plastic. I am also wondering if the grinder is a burr grinder or blade grinder. Thanks for a very well described video.
Can it be used without the water filter?
Yeah it can, but it is better with a water filter. It is in the menu also you can choose waterfilter or the hardness of the water.
agreed!
