Just discovered you channel today and have to give you props for the videos! this one was pretty awesome and seeing the collection organized by spine colours is a cool idea.. As for my number one digibook collection I own is the Lord of The Rings extended sets on DVD... Love the Blu Ray one too (with black cases).. I also love my Bruce Lee Master collection DVD set from back in early 2000! was one of my first dvd sets I got as a gift and holds a special place for me!.. The Spider Man trilogy blu ray set (Sam Raimi movies) is also one I find quite cool but the discs having sleeves made from cardboard is a downside.
The voyage of the dawn treader was my first bluray purchase. 😭😭
I also have the Popeye sets, which are indeed really well done.
The one Disney Digi-pack I wish I got was the Ant-Man and the Wasp one.
Check your digipacks with sleeves! 4K Discs packaged this way may be prone to warp as they are very sensitive. Question: why has Universal repackaged Back To The Future 1-3 4K instead of just re-releasing the original digipack with sleeves?
My box set of the Office season 4 actually came in an even bigger box and it included a few extra things like post-it notes and a "support the rabid" wristband! Not sure if it was a best buy exclusive or something like that.
Oh cool. Yeah I’m not sure. I bought everything second hand on eBay back in those days. Could’ve just been left out by the seller.
Some of my favorite collections are in my least favorite packaging. I love my Hitchcock Bluray set (I think from Universal?), but it’s that cardboard-style disc holder, and I can’t stand those haha. I’ve nearly damaged discs by accident because they’d fall through to the spine as I was closing it.
Hey DJ! As always, a very enjoyable video. Thank you for sharing your treasures-amazing how much effort the major studios put into their releases back in the day. Big fan of the Popeye sets, did you know the first volume also came packed in an embossed tin as a Best Buy exclusive?
I did see that tin. It looks great! I went with the digipak, so all three volumes would match. There is another tin with all three volumes that was a Costco exclusive. It’s crazy expensive now though
@@FilmsByColor The same digipack as you have comes inside the tin-though it throws off my OCD to have one tin and two digipacks on the shelf. 😅
You should see Curzon’s Lars Von Trier set, it is the digipak to end all digipaks lol

@@FilmsByColor I’d say based on movies you’ve mentioned liking Europa would probably be a great place to start. I don’t think it is by any means his best work but it is a great entry point into his stylistic decisions.
I would say Breaking the Waves is his masterpiece though. A truly incredible, devastating film that will tear you down emotionally more and more as it goes on, all the while leaving you awestruck by his singular vision.

Now that you mention it, I do remember an outer slip. I guess I took it off, because I liked how it looked without it.
