You only needed wifi in this video because you do not have a sim card in that phone you were using. You do not need wifi if you have data on your phone which most cell phones actually have. The GLE Dashboard will open and connect automatically by just clicking it when you have a working sim card. You can also easily change the default starting mode from Street to Ludicrous by going to the engine menu section and setting Alternative speed limit enable to off and save. Now when you turn on the bike you will be defaulted to Ludicrous. Same goes for Fast and Slow by simply enabling or disabling the Alternate speed limit enable to off if you what to default to Fast. Hope this helps and you can clarify this in the next video. Have a great day
Will this ever be changed? For those of us that would like to use a separate Android tablet or an old iPhone rather than our current phone with cell service it feels like an unnecessary hurdle. I'm planning on using your kit for my next build and the "must be connected to internet all the time" is literally the only thing I find to be problematic.
so with the egg rider display what am i able to control.. say if I don't want to be connected to any internets, can i switch between ride modes and switch voltages ?
Chris, did you have any issues on initial setup with GLE dashboard. It keeps saying my number is not authored and I have to contact customer support. I got everything from GLE like a month ago. Also my Eggrider connected initially and now never wants to connect at all so I can’t even ride.
Hey i have a GLA BAC too and a Eggrider. Since i have DATA i dont have te connection issues. But i do have issues with regen not working when set only in the eggrider app.
Also if i use the eggrider and im on a hill/roll backwards or use a lot of power to pop a wheelie from standstill, it sometimes just dose not give me power with the eggrider. But on the gle app it does...
I have the GLE and I haven’t had one issue with it. No need for Wi-Fi or none of that stuff. I like it better than the egg rider in my opinion. Hope you figure it out
Thanks for the info. I like the flexibility of the GLE but having the ability to effortlessly turn the power up and down via the EggRider is cool as well. Would love to know how yours works without a network connection, i can't find a setting to shut that off. Also I don't like that I power down in Ludicrous/Fast and power up in street/slow. Does yours do that? Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@Chris_Does_Everything there is a setting to turn off the slow/fast mode. So you only have the street/ludicrous switch. Mine does the same when I turn off and back on it Switches to street. Your videos have helped me out a lot. So thank you!

Why do you immediately force close the apps on your phone?
Just a habit. That’s an old phone, no SIM card and not much memory and it works better with not many apps running.
@jptulo what a gay comment
