Mario Kart Arcade GP is weird but cool. I never actually played the arcade machine, but the Wii emulates the the experience pretty well. Great Job on the Vid!
I saw that they used to have it at every hotel arcade. I think they've been gone since at least 2016, but they still have the Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr., and Mario Bros. cabinet.
I actually remember seeing this game for the first time at Disneyland Paris ! Sadly i couldn't play it, but darn it i was mind blown by the fact that PAC-MAN was in a Mario Kart game. Especially since i was supposedly somewhat young. I can't remember exactly though.

I actually really like the Mario Kart Arcade games too! Really cool to see someone talking about it again. Great video & was definitely worth the wait ^^ I've really wanted the games to come to consoles as well. Or at least have them reuse the tracks, karts & items in one of the mainline games. Honestly, with how the tracks are (being generally short, having multiple versions of them AND being able to race through them backwards even), I genuinely think that they are perfect for Mario Kart Tour and really want them to come to the game. It would breathe a lot of fresh air into the game and a lot of people would finally get to see Diamond City in-depth more along with some others. Seriously, the arcade games have some really cool things and it's a huge shame that they are still going largely unused... Hopefully that can change someday.
I REALLY want to play the Mario Kart Arcade GP series of games, I’ve played every Mario Kart game on all Nintendo systems that they were on, but the ones I want to play are these games, because I’ve never played them before, but they’re so fun and they’re on the top of my list of Mario games that I haven’t played yet.
I played the machine once at Dave and Busters. Their was PAC Man, SONIC Mario all in the same game. It was fun. Sure the laps were shorter. They were two to three from what I remember. But the game was fun to play.
It’s really odd how in this game, Pac-Man's voice is all high pitched while in Pac-Man World 3, it’s deep. The best part is that World 3 and Arcade GP both released in 2005 within a one-month gap.
I knew about this game years ago while browsing Wikipedia, and then eventually got to play it at my local GameWorks.....a year before it closed..... and now GameWorks is shut down across the country.....I made myself sad.....
They put almost no effort into bringing revolutionary games to the switch, and arcade would have to be completely reworked to manage to work on the switch, so its not even realistic that Nintendo would port the game to switch. Also, it wouldn't sell well, so Nintendo is better sticking with keeping their money in making brand new major triple a games.
Mario Kart: Arcade GP 1 & 2 are using esentially GameCube and Wii hardware. Both are proven to work well on the Switch. Mario Kart Arcade GP DX runs on Windows which might take more effort to port to the Switch.
@@Demeech It actually runs on hardware closest in terms of power to Wii- hence why F-Zero AX can run on Wii without lag and yet cannot run on GameCube without lag.
I’m going to make a prediction: in 2021 there will be a new donkey Kong game announced and they are going to do something else with the Mario kart live name (plz remember this if I’m right)
If I live in Austin, TX, then who knows where to look. We actually do have one Dave & Busters near where I live, though I think the MarioKart arcade game they had might have been the 2nd or 3rd iteration.
It won’t happen but I’d buy a re-release of Mario kart arcade gp 1,2 & DX on switch 50 times over! Glorified Mario kart wii? LOL!! Yeah right!!!! Take that for making fun of me for wanting these games on consoles ign community!!!

Mametchi's appearance in the sequel is what go me into the Tamagotchi franchise.
Live is a Mario Kart game the Switch can call its own, though.

Diamond city is the best mario kart track up to date. Its better than NYM1 and Tokyo Blur
