Personally I find using T-62's with the bastion ATGM a lot more cost effective than the T-80s, that 60% accuracy at 2800 meters just force NATO tanks to drive foward and be exposed or keep getting pushed back.
Seeing the tanks deploy smoke screens in this game makes me wonder why they didnt include that feature in Steel Division. Plenty tanks of the era have some form of using smoke.
ATGM cohesion damage is just insane. One or two hits and a M1A1(HA) becomes basically a useless lump of metal with very low accuracy and a huge reload time. And you can hit it with atgms that do 1 point of damage while still getting the massive cohesion debuff - it's really quite OP honestly. Most ATGMs also happen to one-shot stuff like bradleys, which are *NOT* cheap, so... yea. Very annoying.
More realistic though. Would be nice to see Soviet era helicopters have similar results vs multiple missiles. They may be tanks of the skies but they still fall apart in real life from single missile hits.
@@Elementalism Attack helos are done so poorly in Warno.. they are supposed to be mobile killers that can fire off tons of missiles at once, at multiple targets... but here we basically just get a hovering ATGM squad
@@mavor101 That is a good way to describe them. My complaint is NATO helicopters go down 1-2 shots, Warsaw Pac helicopters can tank AA. I have had situations where they take two aim from F-16s and a stinger and still can walk away from the fight. I feel the attack helicopters with rockets seem to perform ok. But agree the ATGM versions are weak sauce. I suspect it is the logic behind how they attack. They attack one target at a time, shoot a single missle, wait for missile to hit or miss then fire again. Really should have the capability to target multiple vehicles and attack more than one at a time.
Why did they buy so much mortar and arty? If they invested into tanks and helos instead of mortars they could have stopped the push or at least slow it down until they can get more reinforcement.
BLUFOR tried to open up air superiority by use indirect fire assets at AAs but It's a poor choice to use Mortars not Artilleries or MLRSs. I'm surprise that I didn't see any SEAD planes at all.
I always feel soviet tanks are up powered compared to NATO tanks in this game. ERA on soviet but not NATO tanks? Chally 2 range of 2.2km when the Chally 1 with the same gun has a conformed kill on a T72 at 5.1km (contested to be 4.7km but still) in the Gulf War which is when this game is based time wise. While the challenger 2 has a cinfirmed kill of 4km (so its not like these are fluke numbers). Both challengers 1 and 2 should have the same range as a Konkors. Longer. They havnt just under egged its range they halved it. And should be able to one tap T72s at that based on evidence. That was the entire reason a rifled barrel was chosen, because HESH pre ERA doesnt need to penetrate and retains its kill potencial at all ranges. So the Chally should do flat damage to basically all armoured targets.
3:10 as we know from real life now autoloaders don't really give any significant advantage, in fact it's the opposite as it's better to have another tank crew member instead of an autoloader.
This map is always going to be tank spam because it has basically zero cover across the entire map. Infantry are almost pointless on it outside of recon.

Vulcan and Box driving up in a T-80 looking at Cobra, "Get in, loser. We're going Golfing."
At 37:40 I think the reversing command tank farts smoke backwards while being engaged by the helo 😂
1 Vulcan video a day keep the boredom away

That's like 20 tanks of all types at the final push with 10 UAZs and similar numbers of helicopters. insane
>Guards rifles
>No rifles
>even their tank barrels are smoothbore
@@LeCrabeStratege Okay, I nearly spit up my drink a little
Life lesson: don't drive a UAV in Vulcan's army.
this is why I watch this, nice game, cinematic
But that hero UAZ driver at 1:40...
Love ur videos.
What a cinematic game.
Vulcan do you use any VFX mods? My choppers don't look that good when getting mowed by AA at 8:38 and I'm playing with VFX on Maximum settings :)
No I don't use any mods. The map does make the FX look really good though and they were updated again lately.
Fear the Toyota Technical!!
Was an incredible video and I highly enjoyed the challenge, maybe next a inf and heli only deck?
Excellent!

Amazing video, please do a slowed down tutorial video so we can play like you!
Great vid!

Infantry ATGM teams can be pretty deadly as well, and are easy to trade up into tanks.
