what a boomer take. Yeah sure more than 300 million people are walking time bombs ready to kill their fellow man at a moment's notice just cos they scored a 50 kill streak in COD.
@@acethemain7776 no, obviously violent videogames do not cause otherwise nonviolent people to kill. There's a more nuanced point here. I'm talking about military propaganda in games. Bottom line is, the military needs a constant supply of young people who want to join the military, and games like Call Of Duty are one of many aspects of our culture that sell teenagers on this idea. the Department of Defense wouldn't fund and do partnerships with these types of games if that weren't the case. I mean, for shit's sake, the military has drones that they pilot with Xbox controllers these days, because those are the types of controllers that their pilots are the most used to. It’s that time of year bois.
He says good ole *days after* 9/11. It ain't the funny day, but you're right on time.
This is the best screen portrayal of Judge Holden ever.
I can totally see Crispin Freeman voicing Judge Holden
I love his smile and his theme for the boss battle
*THE GOOD OLD DAYS*

Love it when southern Jeff Bezos explains the ethics of war

Sundowner could have very well have this lab be silent, he just needed the childrens brains. But he choose to give them eyes and capable os screeching. That is fucked up
Europe is getting a bit too peaceful, Jack. What I'm saying is GIVE WAR A CHANCE!

The funny day is upon us
Like good old days after 9/11, its that time again boys
MGR wasn't supposed to be an instruction. But becomes more relevant every day.
We currently live in a MGS4 timeline

Hmmmmm nice school environment
I love this guy, he talks like he's making some big moral point but then he just isnt.

Hermann Göring, March 1946, Nuremberg, Germany (Colourised HD) 1:30
I'm surprised every character in this game wasn't accused and tried for cannibalism given how much they all chew the scenery. It's glorious to behold, but, I mean, as long as we're on the subject of morality... you know?
The end really says alot about the relationship between Sam and Sundowner

training children to fight in wars in a virtual environment, granting them rewards for killing, showing them that being a soldier is cool and fun and that you should do it, it's the most despicable thing i could imagine doing to a child. good thing there's nothing like that in the real world, right gamers?
Hahaha....
I wouldn't be so sure if I were you
@@kiloklavdi1185 wait.. Wait do you mean?!
what a boomer take.
Kojima has been very vocal from the beginning about the Metal Gear series deliberately having a very strong anti-war message, and MGR is the least subtle instance of that.
@@R0S3inC0NCR33T I like games like COD, but I think it is over romanticized. Still, I agree that every nation needs warriors and warrioress, and they need to sell it to young people. I might sound like a boomer, but most kids and teenagers nowadays are extremely peaceful, nothing wrong about it, but it mostly comes with cowardice. Being anti-war is right, but if we want peace, we must always prepare for war.
Whit that trenchcoat Sundowner looks like Mister X/Tyrant from Resident Evil
It is hard to admit, but his speech about nature of war is based.
That tike of the year again
Good ol days is todays
"Eh kids are cruel jack, they just lose 'touch' with it at the right bold age of twelve"
"War crime this,Cant eat the dry wall that, micorwaving mice is wrong they say"

"How else is a man supposed to make his....'Impact' "
You refrigerated a whole preschool for jpegs
This feels so cursed when watching max0r too much.
He makes a very good point.
War isn't some mystery or plan. It's just human nature and completely inevitable. The best we can do is prepare.
atleast keep the war on gun and running. not a fricking nuclear over our head.
Give them swords and armor and one dragon for each side
That aged well

This is why sundowner is the best metal gear character
Be the kid Sundowner knows you can be.
Absolute memelord
"Did ya think every battle in history was all part of some big ol' conspiracy?"
Dude, this is the Metal Gear universe, which can be best summed up as "What if every government conspiracy theory you ever heard was true at once?"
La Li Lu Le Lo
Although the Patriots vanished after MGS4 but I get it.
It's called "the plan"
SOP withdrawals hit hard here lol
Holy shit I hate Sundowner so much. Everything about him is detestable. Torturing kids, gleefully talking about using them and killing civilians, his sadistic love of war, the fact that he literally was happy about 9-11. He’s evil as fuck but he’s a great character.
LIKE I SAID
KIDS ARE CRUEL, JACK
AND I *LOVE* MINORS

Sundowner deadass think 9/11 is the funniest day of his life, he probably think the same about Tiananmen Square massacre
Thanks Scott my metalgearraising cuts the scenes in half so I watch your vids every time I don't complete a scene thanks man
HE'S FUCKING INVINCIBLE!
tomorrows gonna be a good ole day
bit late to the funny day, but it’s still *“THE GOOD OL DAYS AFTER 9/11!”*
He says good ole *days after* 9/11. It ain't the funny day, but you're right on time.
"You're an irredeemable monster!"
I wouldn't going to this school.
Sometimes I can’t tell if this game was made as some kind of ironic comedy, or an earnest attempt to tell some kind of thought provoking message that becomes hilarious in it’s failures
And that is what makes it so endearing
probably both
Ignoring that there aren't any failures, I think it's somewhere in the middle
what failures? it's literally fucking immaculate
It’s a serious storyline with a layer of exaggeration and comedy. It’s self aware and knows it can be ridiculous at times, so it plays to that effect.
"And kids are cruel... they just lose TOUCH with it at the ripe old age of twelve..."
This speech is so insane that Maxor had to put a line in there that "he literally said this. It's not a meme."
