Janáček is serious genius, it's fact, and this suite is masterpiece, yet it's unknow, it's shame this isn't in standart repertoire of symphonic orchestras cause it's as good as taras bulba or sinfonietta, great! I love his music!!

Jáchym Svoboda I totally agree with you. Janacek is so underrated. not many people discovered him yet.

Janacek wrote some sensational music with so many shades of meaning and feeling!

I love the way he repeats phrases twice over. They're so lovely and refreshing he must give it to us again.

I can't believe I had never heard this suite before. Where has it been all my life !? It is certainly (almost) on a par with the Sinfonietta and Taras Bulba. Many thanks for uploading !

Jabacek is a great composer tht used to write in a rather piecewise technique, which is more diffiuly than the "usual" way of writing. Doing so, he had to find unifying principles that were all but obvious. His success ans his "maestria" are doubtless.

1890-1940 was a truly amazing era in classical music: Janáček, Bartók, Berg, Stravinsky, and so many more

@@stepanvalek3363 I agrre with you. There was a noeclassisal trend, either spontaneous (Stravinsky and his authoritatve position) or forced by dictatorships (Chostakovich, Prokofiev), an atonal/serial trend gathring quite diffrerent musical personalities (Schoenberg, Berg, Webern, Krenek) and a lot of composers, either famous (Bartok) or completely forgotten, who wanted to escape the "either - either" aspect of the situation.

@@stepanvalek3363 Martinu and Villa-Lobos both wrote a huge amount of great music in a wide variety of forms. Their music extends through the 1950's - both died in 1959. People who don't take the time to investigate and listen to them will just repeat the nonsense that they wrote so much music and most of it isn't high quality. It's complete BS.
