  • Looking for a howling good time - look to calling coyotes. Jimmy and Mark sit down with Coyote calling expert (he would be humble and deny the title “Expert”, but we insist) Dustin Butler to chat through how a person goes about calling one of these masters of their surroundings into gun range. These crafty critters will test a hunters mettle every time they head afield. Coyote hunting can be a year round pursuit, licenses are cheap, and there is typically no bag limit (obligatory always check the regulations before heading afield.) And, if you get into putting up and selling hides, you may even make back a little gas money. There’s so much to chasing these buggers. Tune in to hear all about it.

Locating coyotes by howling to locate prior to hunting here in populated area of the east (in south central PA) is difficult. Small parcels of land and I’d have to basically stop off the road right next to a house to sound off with a locator howl. Plus IF the homeowner doesn’t pop out of bed and shoot me, more than likely if I locate some I won’t get permission to hunt on that land. This is the PA struggle gentleman. Having said that this is still a great episode thank you. Learning a lot.

As an avid Eastern predator hunter and trapper it's easier for us to run hound dogs. but calling is the best feeling knowing you beat the odds of a super smart predator

I trapped for 4 years but I got into thermal hunting Coyotes and fell in love. Traps are in the shed now and I coyote hunt every chance I get. I killed 31 since January but it blows my mind how many some of these guys kill. I hunt NC and it is hunted hard around my area.

I hunt in the east and 40 coyotes would b a dream season for me let alone 3 days I can tell u without a doubt trying to keep consistent wind in your favor for mor than 10 minutes is hard because of terrain in wv and they use it without a doubt

Here in SE Minnesota around our farm we drive them like a deer drive during the day and get them burning calories so they are good and hungry and sit and call with some distress calls the following day or two and just pile them up

☠💩Check game wardens. I am 2000 miles away from a coyote hunters paradise: western nueces county texas- in the deltas ditches draining to the nueces river. (where the headless horseman lives).
