I appreciate the way the Germans are actual humans with feelings and thoughts just like any other person. The truth is people fight for their home country, wherever that happens to be. Very good story. I am looking forward the rest.

Yeah when that fight instinct triggers and the adrenaline kicks in you sorta go feature and face blind in regards to your opponent(s). It doesn’t really register and you don’t process or see their faces until afterwards when you have calmed down. But then you never unsee them, ever and their features creep just below your subconscious until you drift to sleep and dream and when see someone that looks similar or you talk about the experience and that’s when you feel the fear and horror of it all. Those two Brit’s are in for a lot of sleepless nights.

    nix the pic.
when blair witch was released in 92 or 93, handprints were new to cinematic horror.
to me, the children handprints just seemed more like paint, and the rooms lined with handprints looked like metaphors for the prisons in life gen xers would find settling for lives of creative freedoms instead of sociopolitical justice. and in a way, this manifested accurately when gen x would go on to produce vapid gormless horror media involving handprints and woven sticks for a million fing years just like the wound up tools they were told to be. no more fing handprint horror.

Oooh, new episode! Excellent as always, I’m always happy when I see a new episode has come out.
In regards to the forest demon episode(which I guess this one replaced in the lineup, so to speak) my personal opinion(and, as always, this is just my two cents) would be to go through with it. I understand your worries given recent events with Russia’s attack on Ukraine, but the USSR’s history during World War Two is a lot more than just Russian history. Something like four million Ukrainians fought for the USSR during World War Two, and vast numbers of non- Russians within the country’s borders did so likewise.
(I’m sorry if I sound a little preachy, but all of the Soviet history classes I took in college really tried to hammer home the fact that the USSR was more than just Russia in red paint and that stuck with me). Heck, what might work is tweaking the episode a little and having it be pro Soviet Ukrainian partisans fighting the creature?

It’s not so much any massive political ideology. It’s more the fact I’ve put a lot into the channel over the last year, and I don’t want to risk a complaint or a ban as a result of someone’s feelings getting hurt and lodging a compliant about something they see on it.
The episode will still go out, as some point, once things die down

I try to stay directly down the centre, wherever I can. There was a bit of broaching about the Dresden episode, but no formal complaints I’ve seen. One of the advantages of portraying the majority of the characters in an independent and non-political light, other than the die-hard Nazi characters, is people seem less inclined to scream at me.

LOL but as he said, "Your blind loyalty, the path you were and unique skill-set along with that national library you have in the head" as he puts it "is something I WON'T ALLOW to GO WASTE!"
Best Job I ever had! And it was NEVER BORING WITH HIM, no matter how hard or boring the rest of the day was! Until he got KIA... GOD! Why not me instead?
But there were a lot of ex-SAS guys in the company too so YEAH, I understand You perfectly if I learned to understand thick Scottish (Dorish?) accent..lol!
But the funny thing is that before I died clinically my language skills were...heh...limited to say at least! NOW...I pick up a new language in a week! But I still regret I did not stay there-EVERYWHERE! Its...Not like I am suicidal, which is miracle on it's own but...THAT PEACE! It can NOT be described properly! It is both frustrating that You can't go in that place for long time but that EVERYTHING WE CALL HERE...is nothing but a droplet of water in the ocean of the INFINITE Bliss and unconditional LOVE!

I mean no offense by this. Purely constructive criticism you can take or leave. The visuals are great, but it's the stories that lack. These are fiction stories and telling them as you would a true story kind of drags them down. (You have to work harder for fiction because people know it isn't real) There is a lot of telling and not showing, which keeps the tension from building. For instance, you just said, it was an undead instead of actually describing what the character was seeing from his perspective. I think if you could build up the mystery by showing, it would give the viewer more immersion in the story and cause them to anticipate the climax and give punch to the monster reveal. (But it's just my opinion.)

Some great comments here and all I could think of was "there but by the grace of God go I" when the German officer let the survivors go and pointed them in the direction of their comrades. Another ripper for sure.
