Most angry sully i've ever heard was on the sick of life and the whole awake album , sad they gone softer and softer over the years and didn't make an album like that .
Awake was one of the best and most underrrated nu/alternative metal albums from 00's.

He said at one point that it is hard on his voice and he couldn't continue the heavy growling all the time or he wouldn't be able to sing much longer... or something to that effect.
Imagine Sully from the early years of Godsmack in a duet with Mixi back when she screamed.

Years of the harshness of his harder songs have put a big strain on his vocal chords, it was either go in a slightly different direction or quit singing totally for Sully. Do I miss the harder songs? Hell yes! As a former vocalist, that's had neck surgery right at my vocal chords I can tell you from personal experience..... your voice DOES lose range.

Great when necessary but not needed on every single song or for an entirety. Depends on the piece. Otherwise, it gets old. Fun to belt out and dig deep, but nobody want to play the same chord through an entire song, let alone a whole album.

I had no idea who this band was I was at Inkcarceration this past weekend and was just walking around looking for music to listen to and decided to watch these guys and fuck am I glad I did. I'm not an emotional guy but their performance got me choked up, it was one of the best shows I've ever seen. I will absolutely be giving them my money any chance I get.

I listened to the song cause of Sully and ended really loving the song. I'm not a big fan of too many female lead singer rock bands. It takes the right one for me. Not everyone male or female can pull that type voice off and this girl did and now has a new fan!! I love all of Sully music hard core or soft. He's entered a new error in life with new music. He's a man of many talents and anyone who can't respect that as artists. Should evaluate whether their really that person fan. Yes not everyone is going to like everything a person does but come on the man's a legend in my book.

What? Holy shit that was tight and it's about time Sully found his metal side again.
This is a fine song, but “Metal” it is not. The riff is rock, there are no breakdowns, and Mixi’s singing is well, just that. I am not an elitist metalheal, but the blurring between the 2 genres is so bad now, people do not know what is what.
It is even a stretch to even say godsmack is or has even been “Metal.” A pretty good hard rock band is a more accurate designation.
