I've been saving cucumber seeds since I was a young boy walking thru the garden with momma. And we always waited til the cucumber started turning yellow, and thats when we knew the seeds were good enough to save. We'd just cut the cucumber into slices and I'd use my thumb to press the center out onto a paper towel and let it dry. Then we'd come back later afetr the towel absorbed the jell and pick the dry cucumber seeds up and place into a cup to save for next year. Never had an issue with em not sprouting, but of course Dad would save the seeds outside in his building. So they never was protected from the winter cold.
For what it's worth, I ran my cuke seeds under tap water to get rid of the "gel". Then I dried them on paper plates. Same as I do with tomato's, works well. Don't let them dry to the plate, I'll shake them a bit, then collect them when dry.
Another youtuber said that if you let a cucumber fruit go to ripe, the plant will start to die and stop producing. Do you think that have any validity? Also can you make a video showing how to save tomato seeds but keeping the seeds from sticking to each other as they dry?

Can you get seeds from store bought?
No, they need to mature on the vine past the point of eating stage
I can't get over the pointy finger!😂

....No wonder I got no cucumbers this year - I saved seeds from green cukes!
I've always saved from yellow, completely yellow (80-90% yellow). they all sprouted OK. 🤜🤛.

One fruit ripening does not affect the rest of the fruit in my experience. And I will do a video on saving tomato seeds soon
