Save cucumber seeds

Effectively free seeds at your fingertips. Never have to buy another pack of your favourite cucumbers again. Here is a sure-fire way to save enough cucumber seeds from a single overripe cucumber to last you for years. If you want more, just repeat, it is very easy. You will need to use an old cucumber though, nor a nice eating one. It can be fully yellow like this, or green with yellow ends, just not before that change. Well worth a go to save a bit of money.

Did we eat that de-seeded, overripe cuke, or did uou compost it? I suppose if it had been peeled it would have been fine to eat, right?

yes, we did eat it, sliced up in a salad. I sliced all of the skin off and a very thin layer of flesh and it was fine. Must have been okay as you didn't notice :)
