Amber’s reaction to “losing more then that in my back seat, baby” was absolutely priceless … so was the hidden smile afterwards! Love your genuine reactions, Amber!
One of my favorites by Bon Jovi. For your next one, I recommend "Wanted Dead or Alive", "Bad Medicine", "Born to Be My Baby", or "Lay Your Hands On Me".
"Wanted Dead or Alive" is a must if you want more rock. "Bed of Roses" if you want another power ballad. Also, "This Ain't a Love Song" is a good 90's ballad by them.
“Bed of Roses” is imo their best power ballad. Also “Born To Be My Baby” is such a feel good banger! Bon Jovi is great and so fun to see you react to them!
I graduated from high school in 1987. My senior class wrote in this song as our class song. Literally everyone I knew voted for it. Yet strangely enough, our class song was "Stand By Me" by Ben E. King, which had hit the charts again that year thanks to the movie of the same name. We were all convinced the teachers and principal didn't want "Never Say Goodbye" to be our class song because of the lyrics, so they fudged the voting. And frankly, I still believe that.
The backup vocal of Richie is kind of underrated in this one. I know he did some of the memorable one like in Dead or Alive and I'll be there for you but this one is still solid. Also, would be great if y'all explore These Days (1995). An underrated album by Bon Jovi. Arguably their best album among their hardcore fans. I'd suggest This Ain't A Love Song, Hey God and Lie To Me from that album.
This song has special meaning to me. Graduated in 87' and went straight into the Marine Corps. My brother played it for me and cried...he wasnt much for words...😢
Another of their songs about memories from this album is Wild in the Streets. If Never Say Goodbye is for senior proms, then Wild in the Streets is for the last Summer together that follows. Also, it's a fast-paced, fun song, if you want a change from the power ballads.
Bon Jovi and Jon Bon Jovi, you can't go wrong with either. I have loved Bon Jovi for decades, especially the power ballads. You really need to react to "Bed of Roses", "Make a Memory", "In These Arms", and "Thank You for Loving Me" are some of my favorites along with the ones you have already done.
This came out when I was 13 and it's always been one of my favorites. Not many people bother to play it, believe it or not. Glad to see that someone reacted to it. As a Generation X'er, we were spoiled in the 1980's with great music. I'd give up half of what I have if we could have the '80's back for another ten years! Cheers from northeast Ohio.
Love the ballad role that you guys have been on. One of the big 80s ballads that you haven’t gotten to yet is Whitesnake’s Is This Love. It’s another one that conveys a lot of emotion. Especially in the solo. John Sykes’ solo in that song is one the best ballad solos you will ever hear.
LOVE Bon Jovi! They’re album Slippery when wet” is phenomenal! And lie this ballad- “Bed of Roses”is another great ballad of theirs- And Jon..😍 Me and my best friend had their posters all over our walls and ceilings- along with Whitesnake-😁
Love!! I'm lucky enough to have been born in 1980 and grow up with this band. And see them live twice! ❤ They kick @ss and have some of the best power ballads of all time. Your next one has to be 'Thank You For Loving Me'. I cry when I hear it and you guys might too. Love you guys, love the channel. 💛
OMG!!! YOU'RE FINALLY DOING MY MOST FAVORITE SONG!! 💕💕💕💕 The prom, the fight, dancing, etc was exactly about me and the "boyfriend"! Gosh, this just takes me right back to those moments. Love you guys and thank you for doing this one (especially)🫶🫶🫶
Wow, this brings me right back to Jr. High/High school!! Love Bon Jovi from the moment I first heard them, soamy years ago!!! Great reaction Jay and Amber, thank you!❤️❤️❤️
This song, along with so many others, is dedicated to Jon’s wife (his HS sweetheart). I wish you’d do more reactions to Bon Jovi’s New Jersey album-Lay Your Hands on Me, Bad Medicine, Wild is The Wind, or Living in Sin.
In one of Jon baby picture you could see him and his wife Dorothea they met in history class in high school 😍 Never Say Goodbye is such an amazing I love to sing it and scream TOGETHER FOREVER, NEVER SAY GOODBYE... Amazing song can't wait for you to listening to more recent stuff or beginning of the 00's like Thank You for Loving Me, You Had Me From Hello, Have A Nice Day, You Want to make a Memory, This House Is Not For Sale, do what you can, story of Love, Till we Ain't strangers anymore, Amen, Joey, This Aint a love song etc.. im a huge Bon Jovi fan I can recommand you every of their song 😍🥰
Would love to see you react to Richie Sambora’s solo stuff. Stranger In This Town has a very bluesy feel too it and Ballad Of Youth has quite a Bon Jovi vibe to it. Went to see Bon Jovi in 1993, and I was mesmerized by Richie the entire show.
Yes! This ☝Richie was such a pivotal part of the sound of the band, but his solo stuff is equally epic. I second the suggestion for Stranger in this Town!
This is a Bon Jovi song that I may not hear in years, but when it comes on I sing along not missing a single word. Guess cause I played this cassette over and over and over. Those were the days.
So glad you guys got this request. I forgot about this song and how great it is. I miss Ritchie Sambora so much. Those harmonies with Jon are so missed.
I read a article yesterday that Ritchie Sambora has been talking with Jon and They might be getting together again. I hope it happens because I miss Ritchie too. Ritchie Sambora has a few albums n I think they are really good.
Always love Bon Jovi. This song is one of my favorites. Please make me smile and do some Queensryche. I’d really like to hear your take on Silent Lucidity it’s such a great thought provoking song. Also I don’t Believe in Love, Operation Mindcrime, Jet City Woman, Walk in the Shadows, Empire, Suite Sister Mary. Time to get into some progressive metal. I think you will both appreciate it. 😊👍🎶🎸🎶💕
I love it! This song reminds me of my mom. This is the genre of music she raised us on and this is her favorite song by her favorite band. My favorite Bon Jovi song is I'll be There for You.
When you are looking for the greatest power ballads of all time, you have two sources to choose from. Bon Jovi and Bryan Adams. They wrote the soundtrack of my youth. From falling in love to nursing a broken heart, they sang it all. Thanks for the memories.
Jon Bon Jovi & Richie Sambora... MTV Video Music Awards... Livin' on a Prayer/Wanted Dead or Alive. Basically started the whole "Unplugged" movement that many of the 80s rock bands followed. You will love it, I assure you.
I was obsessed with this song. I had the cassette and would have to keep rewinding it to listen to it on repeat. Living in the 80s was rough compared to 2022 when you can hit a button or move your mouse and repeat the song 😂
It doesn’t hurt that is is so fine. He still looks good at 60 years old. Y’all should listen to This House Is Not For Sale album and Bon Jovi 2020 album. I think they have like 16 studio albums total. Yeah I need to listen to all of them they are excellent. Jon Bon Jovi the Lead singer is the founder of the band.
Bon Jovi is just iconic in every facet of the title. I can’t add any superlatives to the many attributed to this all time great band , I’ll just say never say goodbye to listening to perfection. Great reaction as usual.
Bad Medicine, Bed of Roses, Lay your hands on me, In these Arms, Some day I'll be Saturday Night, Wanted Dead or Alive, Keep the faith ... just some of Bon Jovi's best you haven't done yet. xx
These power ballads that Bon Jovi the band perform are written by Jon Bon Jovi the lead singer and are usually about his own life love, because he married his high school sweetheart and they are still together. My elder sister RIP Maryann was a huge Jon Bon Jovi Fan and these reactions bring her to mind even more than usual for me and I Thank you for that. Also the lead Guitar player is Richie Sambora one of rocks best Guitarist Cher Dated him back in the day, He wrote "We all sleep alone " for Cher you guys should check it out
The best! I love being in the 80's. We all rocked to this. We all loved. Made out in backseat. Fell in love with a soul mate. Prom was a huge deal! Bonjovi was always a part of our years!
This was the first album I ever bought myself at 12yo with my birthday money. I remember listening to this with headphones over and over in my room. Falling hopelessly in love with Jon Bon Jovi. 😍
Ok that’s it, I’m done tonight! You have unlocked memories that I had totally forgotten about. You have taken me through a journey of my youth tonight. I have even shed tears. But THIS song…..I had a fight with my boyfriend the night of my prom! I cried in the bathroom and then we danced to this song. This took me all the way back to that night and I felt every emotion as if it just happened!
Please do a video for "Bang A Drum" by Jon Bon Jovi. It is from the Young Guns II soundtrack which Jon Bon Jovi composed all the songs for. That album is amazing! And it really shows Jon's spiritual side. Songs like "Billy Get Your Guns," "Miracle," "Blaze of Glory," Santa Fe," God, wish you guys could the videos for the whole album. You will be amazed by all the songs. And lets not forget to mention "Justice In the Barrel" where you get to hear Lou Diamond Phillips chanting.
I remember this song back in graduation day and thinking about people I'd never see again. I remember that summer sitting outside with a couple of friends smoking a jay and one of my friends had an acoustic guitar and he was singing this song. Those were the days.
Thank you so much for doing this song. "Never Say Goodbye" will always hold a special place in my heart as well as several thousand other 80's kids. This was supposed to be the theme to our Senior Prom but because of the "Parking out on Butler St. out in the dark" line our school board voted against it. We just celebrated our 35th reunion and though some of our classmates have left us we're still Never saying goodbye to each other. Thank you guys. Much ❤
This was the perfect song for high school dances where you thought youth, love, heartache you felt and promises you made would last forever. I was gullible, but not for long, yet I never stopped hoping. Also, parts of the guitar riff remind me of "Angel" by Aerosmith.
My absolute favorite Bon Jovi song. 🎶😍🎶 Bon Jovi has some of the best power ballads, but they have a lot of range with their music. "Sleep When I'm Dead" is a fun song, "Lay Your Hands On Me" just rocks! They have deeper love songs like "Bed of Roses", "I Want You" and "Living in Sin"...and then songs like "This Ain't a Love Song". I personally love their slower songs that tell a story like "Dry County" and "Dying Ain't Much of a Living". You can also "Keep the Faith" or take a trip down "Tokyo Road". They have a ridiculous amount of songs and albums to go through and a song for just about every situation.
For some of Bon Jovi’s harder rock songs check out “Bad Medicine”, “Lay Your Hands on Me”, “ Born To be My Baby”, “Raise Your Hands” “In & Out of Love”, “This Ain’t a Love Song” & “It’s My Life” 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽
I agree. "7800° Fahrenheit" was a phenomenal album along with the "Young Guns" soundtrack that few people mention anymore! I find myself playing that far more now more than ever due to the excessive overplay of "Slippery When Wet" and "New Jersey". I will admit I am guilty of doing that.
Love Bon Jovi. A song that will still be a classic 100 years from now. In my opinion Bon Jovi just hasn’t been the same since Richie Sambora left. Jon and Richie are just two genius artists that came together and made magic. Check out these from Richie Sambora, he’s a great singer too. - Stranger In This Town - Ballad of Youth - Father Time - The Thrill Is Gone w/BB King - Rosie - One Light Burning - In It For Love - Hard Times Come Easy - Come Back As Me - Every Road Lead Back To You. - Engine 19
I love Bon Jovi’s ballads. Jon and Richie’s harmonies are perfect and compliment each other perfectly. Loved hearing your wonderful thoughts about them ❤
Amber’s reaction to “losing more then that in my back seat, baby” was absolutely priceless … so was the hidden smile afterwards! Love your genuine reactions, Amber!
I think she blushed, just a tiny little bit.
That line kept it from being our prom song. They played it but could not be our song. This song is so 80s.
@@claudiacolmorgan2894it would have made a great prom song !
If you want more of a rock song listen to BAD MEDICINE 💊
Yeah, because they had that happen and it actually worked out for them
Can't go wrong with Bon Jovi. "Bed Of Roses", "Wanted Dead Or Alive" & "Bad Medicine" are also great.
Also Lay your Hands on me is awesome!
@@portalofwisdom8858 absolutely!
"In This Arms" is an amazing song as well.
@@JustaGuy2.0 YES!
Bad Medicine is a great rocking one.
This is what the 80’s FELT like if it was a song …… man those were some of the best ♥️♥️♥️ love me some early Bon Jovi !!!
Bon Jovi doesn’t have any bad songs❤️
I love that he can sing AND he is so pleasant on the eyes. ✌🏻
A beautiful man that sang beautiful songs. Forever ❤
Without Richie there is no Bonjovi. His backing vocals and his guitar tone make the sound.
Agree 100% just not the same without him
One of my favorites by Bon Jovi. For your next one, I recommend "Wanted Dead or Alive", "Bad Medicine", "Born to Be My Baby", or "Lay Your Hands On Me".
You guys should look up Jon's real last name! You would probably crack up! That's why he's called Bon Jovi. Because his last name is so hard to say.
For the love of all things holy please do Lay Your Hands On Me
@@John_Locke_108 Agreed. The video captures the concert performance so well. And the song kicks all kinds of ass
This was the only comment I saw suggesting Lay Your Hands On Me so had to agree that this song is a must
"Wanted Dead or Alive" is a must if you want more rock.
Nope. Always and This aint a Love Long soo much better and more mature.
That's one of their least good ballads.
Richie Sambora the guitarist is THE MAN.
This was the theme song at my senior prom!! Love me some Bon Jovi!

A great emotional tune by Bon Jovi. The vocals are super nice. Next "Bed of Roses". Great reaction. Buckets of Maple Syrup love from Canada ❤️❤️🇨🇦 🇨🇦

Yes another great song 💖💫💖 nothing better than the 80s POWER BALLADS 💖💫💖
Agreed, love Power Ballard's, they don't care for them too much lol but had they been in the 80's generation they would lol
@@YOUWHAT291 I think Amber really likes power ballads.
One of the most beautiful things about this song is that it’s a true story and they’re still together today.
Yeah, and he cheated on her numerous times, that's not so beautiful.

It was our song as well and a few weeks later we all said "goodbye" lol!!
This was voted as our class song when I graduated in 1987 as well. The administration censored the six-pack and back seat references. Jerks...
We had that problem as well. My class wanted Garth Brooks, Friends in Low Places 😂
Class of 87 too…. We got stuck with Nothings Gonna Stop Us Now. Everyone and I mean EVERYONE voted for Styx Best of Times.
Class of ‘87 as well- our song !
The backup vocal of Richie is kind of underrated in this one. I know he did some of the memorable one like in Dead or Alive and I'll be there for you but this one is still solid.

Another of their songs about memories from this album is Wild in the Streets. If Never Say Goodbye is for senior proms, then Wild in the Streets is for the last Summer together that follows. Also, it's a fast-paced, fun song, if you want a change from the power ballads.
Their albums Slippery When Wet (featuring this track) and New Jersey have no bad songs. I still listen to them both, start to finish.
They even have other good songs that didn't make those albums like "Edge of a Broken Heart" & "Borderline".
Slippery When Wet is the most awesome album!
Jay & Amber, you'll love Jon Bon Jovi's "Who Says You Can’t Go Home" w/Jennifer Nettles!!!
Amber's reaction to "And you lost more than that" 😆🤣😂 I actually laughed out loud.

The whole slippery when wet album is great
