This feels like the episodes from the good old days, love seeing Chris’ methodical approach to the work done in this video.
You should make at least one big episode just dedicated to cleaning out and reorganizing the shop. You'd be surprised how many of your viewers would like to see that.
I’d like a fleet update too
I like your thinking a video on just tool organization should be nice to
I'm a huge fan of your body swaps and conversions, and I'm sure I'm not the only one in saying this is my favourite so far!!
Now they just need to do a rb26 r35 gtr!
Could have the most confusing cars at any meet haha.
I do miss not seeing the outcome of the mustang! 😩
Hey Matt
Did you get my message on Instagram? 😊
@@Kuxy17 Nah! It will be hard to do since he will need a lot of custom stuff to adapt the RB26 to the rear transaxle of the GTR, also, you need a lot of money to make an RB26 reliable at high HP levels, the VR38 with a few bolt on mods can be at 1000HP very easy 😂
Definitely wish they could have finished the mustang😕
Hey Chris, If you want to get some advice on anything to do with bonding fiberglass, aluminum, metal or pretty much anything then send me a note. I work in adhesives (20 years experience with all different chemistries) both getting the right one and dispensing it properly. I know why your SEM product hardened too fast and could send you some pointers (and possibly stuff) to make things easier. Love the channel, you guys make some really intersting stuff.
incorrect amount of hardener and incorrect mixing?
@@sfefsew Which happened because they had no gun to apply even pressure on both tubes?
@@sfefsew Many two part chemistries exhibit a certain amount of exotherm during cure. Nearly all two part chemistries react faster with heat, so if you mix a bunch at once in a container; the heat pushes the cure and reduces workign time. Many automotive metal bonders are based on methly-methacrylate chemistry; which has an initial exo.....so you get less work time. The right static mixer with an applicator gives you a better mix, nice even bead and no exo problems. Tricks of the trade.
Love this series. My buddy has a pearl white R34 gtr and it just has a presence that's impossible to explain
The R69 is looking better and better with each episode! Can't wait to see it all in one color! I hope you try to give it a good paintjob and not just a wrap! 👀
This is one the best builds on RUclips to date, I think you guys are killing it .
I was also really excited for streetspeed717’s tt snakeskin viper build but that never happened. I like throtl’s eclipse too.
I’ve watched every single episode that you have posted on this channel. Only bad thing is, now I have to wait for current uploads. Love this channel!!
I am in self icerlation and this genuinely is the best bit of a normal day for me it's the best thing all week this week
It's like a JDM touring car build 😁
Kyle!!!
Like a JGTC car?
Yo!
I *HATE* wide body kits with exposed rivets or mounting points. Thank you Chris 😊
So heartwarming seeing you wrench again, hasn’t been quite the same in recent videos but I’m glad you’re health is improving and you’re back to doing what you love 🤙🏼
Kyle from boosted boiz knows a guy who is great at saving pre existing glass rather than replacing they do it right we do it better love his business moto.
Love that y’all are back to explaining what’s going on and not just shooting 20 minutes of time lapse. I don’t know about everyone else but I watch for inspiration. And when I have no idea how or why something is happening, it becomes unfeasible. When you talk it out, then show how you did it, it gets the gears turning on how I could apply that particular skill in my builds.
I mean both are good
You are a inspiration to many. God bless from a Irish fan.
Awsome looking at your builds, i had cancer in my throat allmost two years ago couldent swallow anytning, lost 14kg on a month, i know what your going thruh.... sry about all the miss spelling, i'm from sweden ;) i had chemotherapy, and now all cancer is gone, and next october i'll be "let go from hospital as cancer free" :)
I'm so glad you decided on the panel bounding route, looks more OEM, rather than the studded look
👍👍👍👏👏👏
Can we PLEASE make wide body kits like this more common. The flush oem fit looks soo much better than the riveted kits in almost all applications
All body kits use to be like this. It's changed with what's in at this time. Personally I like the clean none clip look.
Good to see you doing what you love doing. I hope you heal very well...
Love this channel it's the only one I watch involving this kind of work!! Can't wait to see the R69 all done!!
Those clips in the quarter glass are fine to cut through, I work at a busy shop and they pretty much always get cut thru, its only for the production line to make it quick and the same over and over and over
I can't believe how much the channel has grown since the GT86 build and The mad max corvette build🤩
Loving seeing Chris being the centre of attention and doing the graft, feels like the old days lol
These episodes always get me in the mood to work on my project but it never lasts long enough to get out to the garage lol
That body is saying something 🔥
This car is coming together so well. I was losing interest in the channel, but between the Jumpacan and the R69, I'm in love all over again.
It looks as though you are back in the saddle, Chris. Excellent positivity! Tell Oscar to get knee pads for when he has to kneel on the concrete floor. He will not want knee surgery.
It looks GREAT 👍! It's a testament to the dedication yall have!
Looking good! Keep on keepin on bro! Some love from Dallas TX! God bless and protect u guys!
The rear arch looked right to me, it is sealed and strong. And I would use that to my advantage by hanging the filler sheet out past the original rear quarter panel to the glass fibre panel. Drill some holes so the resin really grips the car and make it all one. Then the gap between the wide body kit doesn’t fill with mud and you can lean against it without regretting it :D
Here's a bit of trivia you may or may not find interesting. Those clecos were invented at Boeing where I work. I have a bunch in my garage that I'm "borrowing" from work.
Awesome build. I enjoy watching it come together.
It Will be the best project you have done
Amazing work as always, waiting for each episode feels like forever with how excited I am for this build!
Damn !! This is getting more and more exciting and I can't wait to see it done. By far my favorite build, absolutely love it.
Exciting about a new shop. I still remember the make-shift shop in your backyard deal. So many paint jobs
Wooooo, was desperate for an update. Can't wait to see this thing painted.
This car is going to be awesome!
I would highly recommend removing all the old, dried seam sealer from the trunk to quarter panel areas and generously re-sealing and painting or spraying bed liner in there to prevent any water that might get in the trunk from causing future rust issues.
Really looking forward to seeing the final product. 👍
Man ive been waiting for an update for so longgggg, hope your health is going well love this channel 💯
Big fan from Estonia, would sit hours and watch those vidoes! Amazing vibe, people and coolest content building cars!
I was just watching the previous videos and think "can't wait to see the kits installed" fantastic
Ive had some personal experience playing with that adhesive and it is insanely strong. we did adhesive testing when i was in college for collision repair and that panel bond tested very well. tried pulling apart two pieces of metal we stuck together with it and a frame machine couldnt pull it apart just tore in a new place
Chris, it is great to see you getting your hands dirty again. Glad you are on the mend!!! Keep kicking ass!!!
Your movement is seemingly much better mate. Great to see. All the best for your health moving forward. 🇦🇺
Really enjoyed seeing more details on how you accomplished what you set out to do!
Great episode. We haven’t seen you guys paint a project in a while so that would be nice to see. Especially after you invested in your booth and sprayer!
Probably the best build on RUclips right now. Previous was the burntacan.
Hey I hope your surgery was a success an you kicked the big C ass we are all behind you an care about you thanks for all the awesome entertainment
Loved this video, glad you’re blending the arch in, I’m not a fan of the riveted look. Great tutorial mate 👍🏼
This is such an epic build!! I love how you think everything out and describe what you’re doing and about to do…this is an awesome project!
Looking good. Putting on that widebody is so involved, for a moment I forgot that there's a R35 underneath there.
So excited for this build!
Drinking game - shot every time you hear the word ‘panel’
Hell yeah! Best build on the RUclipss!
So impressive how you freehand the wheel arch without a template. Then close the spot weld seam!! Very cool example of loads of experience. Cool
Btw! I dig the 2 tone color!! LoL
This is such an epic build. Can't wait for it to be done.
It looks sooooo effin good ❤️
Can't wait to see this thing done. Such a bad ass build!
I'm never here this early! Love the videos and the builds!!!
You boys have encouraged me to commit to a bodyswap! Glad your doing well :)
Still the best roots car builds on RUclips
Maaaan, I just love bow this car its going on, just amazing
Loving this build. Modern tech with classic looks. 😎
Great show.Great info.Glad to see you working hard and feeling better.
Best wishes guys
Great build
Haven't missed an episode. Love this body swap. Good content B.
so excited to see this thing come together
The most existing build ever keep going 😍🥰
"fiber glass IS waterproof"
Every Corvette owner is happy to hear this
I love the use of clecos in your latest videos! I use them everyday at work in Aerospace manufacturing! They are amazing for drilling holes in anything and holding things in place!
Gives us more can't wait i been so patient for the episode's i can't wait for more it's looking awesome when you doing a conversion with a modern BMW to a BMW 318i boxer body i wanna see that
Great work, Oscar is a bad ass. It helps to take a few moments to organize all that shit mess you have. Its worth it, as you become more efficient not looking for stuff. Awesome build can wait to see it Rip!
Nice! Much prefer these episodes where it's like a tutorial as opposed to a giant time lapse 👍 more like the good old days
I did the fiberglass overfenders in almost exactly the same way on my GTR rep. Only found this channel in the last couple of months with the r34 build, love it. Also, i have a PS res you can have along with a bunch of other r34 GTR/GTT spares I've accumulated over the years. let me know what you need or what your struggling to get your hands on, the market is probably a little more open over this side of the pond.
Use the panel bond just like bondo to fill in the edges …. Pulse I would have made some random spots in the middle of the panel. Sand the paint all the way back put a big glob of Panel bond and let the panel push it flat. You can add fiber glass resin to thin the panel bond out. Just some tips.
Howdy! Hope You and the team are well Chris
Piece of advice on the glass. Use a lubricant with the oscillating knife. Like spray glass cleaner or a spritzer bottle with water and a little soap.
Can’t wait to see the end result 🔥🔥🔥
Chris good seeing you put in work. Great work brother. Love this build
Man you guys deserve an awesome garage
Thanks for making Playlist
Glad to see you doing your thing sir!
That car is going to be awesome! Great work. God bless
I really enjoyed the tutorial/walkthrough style of this video! Please more!
this is still the best RUclips channel ever. Amazing work Chris & Oscar! Episodes should be called R69!
cool ... yeah that panel bonding stuff seems pretty good they use it on a lot of new cars especially the aluminum ones like the F150s.. those are nice panels not much reworking to get them to fit .. hope everything is going well ... catch you next time :o)
Awesome idea using a painters tape to get a template instead of dealing with the paper moving around! I’m definitely gonna be using that idea!
I tack the wheel wells about every 1/4" and then seam sealer is your friend...lol. but it turns out beautiful. Have a customer whose car I did about 8 years ago and it still looks great. And BTW, the panel bonding stuff works excellent specially if you have a friend that already has a expensive gun mixer that you can borrow....haha
The R69 bit just hit me, nice
Work in progress, loving it! 👊🏻
Loving this build.
Wow, amazing build so far!
Love the bodywork episodes! Cheers!
Glad your back at it
Hell yeah my car is almost done!!!
Some great attention to detail. You definitely need to paint it Midnight Purple!
Love you guys, you’re doing amazing job!!!
I thought it was the R69? Slipping my guy. Lots of love from down under!
A fleet update would be sick🤘🏽
Loving the build! I’ve just finished welding oem gtr quarters onto my r34 and extending the inner arches. I feel your pain with having to weld that metal.
Can’t describe how happy I am that this wide body won’t have rivets, so outplayed
this thing is really coming together 😃
