Jeff saying that's a record to Kelly during the very first season will always be funny to me. like of course it's a record, no one has done this show before.
Richard also had the record for most votes at a final tribal council
Rudy had the record for longest-lasting 70+ year-old…I actually I think he still holds it
@@drugstoredilemmas7962 I believe he’s straight up the oldest to ever play considering his age on All Stars actually!
😆
I know what you mean, but that last part, isn’t that what a record is?
The Hero Challenge in Gabon that Matty won for his tribe was insanely clutch. The rest of his tribe was trying to throw the next challenge to send him home but he clutched up and beat out all of the Kota tribe to stay in and almost win the game.
I really loved that format for a post-swap just-prior-to-merging tribal immunity. Your tribe could throw individually if they choose to, but they have no power to keep you from trying your damnedest if you think you're at risk. Gabon had, no joke, fairly brilliant challenge design all around and this is one of the simple pinnacles of them from a balancing perspective.
@@YourPalJamieEllis that's a big part of why I hate the theory that it was originally intended for there to be a real merge instead of another swap and the challenge was supposed to be individual so they just repainted the setups red & yellow and made it a team challenge. Doing "individual" tribal immunity challenges post-swap is one of the most interesting challenge dynamics for exactly the reason you mentioned, and I'd like to have faith that the producers saw the potential in that instead of just assuming they wanted to rig the game
The irony of Erik's final 5 puzzle saying gaurnteed final 4 is not lost on me
I just noticed that deep tragic irony for the first time.
Mike Holloway could make the list like 5 times easily. Every immunity challenge he won after the auction was clutch, as he was public enemy number one. That was the most “back against the wall” season probably ever.
I would love to see Mike play again... he would have to play so different i think you would receive a whole new mike
i think since he wasn't even invited for waw he's not coming back but yeah id love to see him
Same here.
@@katal003 i would've preferred mike over ben in waw tbh. wish he got invited
@@Goodii2Shooz Mike, Todd, or Richard should have been on instead of Ben and (as much as I love Amber) would have killed to see Tina play again
@@katal003 to be fair he was an unused alternate for the challenge USA so I wouldn’t rule him out completely!
I love how much you respect Vecepia’s game. She’s one of my favorite winners and is so underrated
Russell vs Brett in Samoa was crazy clutch
What is interesting about that is they did that challenge 2 times. Russell has said he had to win it twice since something happened with Brett's equipment.
@@philheight2808 Yeah ik I saw his video
I mean...he's no Mike Tyson. He's Brett
@@AlfoMedia Aye nice to see you’re a fan of survivor. Would you ever be willing to make a video analyzing the music on survivor and how it impacts every scene?
Also, which Russell? Russell Hantz?
Glad you gave Vecepia credit, that's more than the show has done over the years. Kelly was who I thought should have won the first Survivor, she showed amazing toughness.
One I feel like people miss is Nick in s37. He won the last 3 immunties, which was especially needed after his f7 idol blunder and Davie leaving at f6
ehh the only immunity he needed was final 4. Davie goes regardless at f6, and they all knew they couldn't keep Allison at f5. Nick's wins were very impressive, don't get me wrong- but the only truly "clutch" win was Final Immunity.
@@survivorchallenges I agree that’s probably true but you have to wonder if Mike and Angelina would have made a last minute decision to target Nick if given the chance. That was ultimately what happened with Davie so I have to wonder if it could have happened with Nick in final 5!
Also.. I actually just decided to rewatch dvg (well.. I got a little more than halfway through the season) but I always recalled Nick as not being that good of a player for some reason and idk why bc watching back he really did have a good strategy. I honestly forgot about the last 3 immunities.
Jonathan’s clutch immunity was so beautiful I love Penner so much bro
Really surprised not seeing Sophie beating Ozzy at the final 4 immunity challenge in SoPa here. Without her winning, none of the 3 finalists would have even had a chance, and her winning the season really makes that win clutch.
Idk, I feel like it might have been a tossup at the end. Sophie won particularly because she was able to undermine Coach sure, but the power she exuded throughout the game could have had her beating Ozzy, who played a great game but whose game was also slightly undermined by a few elements particularly not being present for its entirety unlike Sophie! Obviously one can only speculate but I think if we somehow had a final with both Ozzy and Sophie I think it can very well go either way!
@@JRJuggernaut1 iirc ozzy would've won basically unanimously, all his allies were on the jury and the few upolus were (rick and brandon) were all bitter. coach / sophie maybe get a vote or two tops
@@uglyaniimals that is a fair point, Ozzy was pretty beloved by his tribe and while Sophie did play a strong game, you could obviously tell she wasn’t particularly beloved by the jury overall, and being next to two people the majority of the jury did not want to reward certainly helped her a lot!
Yeah, this is one of the most clutch wins ever.
I think had it been a less bitter jury Sophie would have had a chance had she gone up against ozzy at the end, but almost every jury member said prior to ozzy getting voted out/before final tribal that they were rooting for him and they didn’t feel comfortable giving money to any of the upolu members
Shii Ann winning immunity is the queer experience given form. The outcast defeating the people who won't even talk to her, gloating a little too hard, relishing as they turn on themselves, and then it ultimately being for nothing when she gets voted out one round later? Honestly so iconic.
so true bestie
Shii Ann for Survivor 50: Oops! All Legends
How is that somehow my ORG experiences near exactly
Shii Ann winning that immunity challenge in All-Stars meant EVERYTHING to me. When I first watched the season, I already knew Rob and Amber were the F2, but when Shii Ann won that, GOD was I hoping all the spoilers I read were wrong. Nothing like the euphoria you get when the likable, rootable, SENSIBLE player on the bottom saves themselves and forces the majority to turn on each other early. I wish she had made it farther, and honestly, I hope she gets a third chance at the game.
It was so annoying seeing Alicia being a bitch about it
Terry was amazing in Panama. I was so excited for him to come back in Cambodia and so sad he had to go home for the family emergency. I really hope he gets to play again; he should have won Panama
I would love a top 10 or 5 of your favorite immunity necklaces. Or even a whole tier list
Best: Phillippines (Idk why but I love it so much)
Worst: Ghost Island (looks like a project made by a kindergartener who gave up halfway)
I love Pearl Islands for just having a sword
#1: fiji
Mike was one of my favorite survivor players 😊
Great video as always! The first person I thought of was Sophie… If she didn’t win against Ozzy in the final challenge, she never would’ve won the season, and he’s considered perhaps the greatest challenge beast of all!
Peih-Gee in China feels like she should be on here. She won clutch immunity after clutch immunity only to get so close at final 5
Mike is one of the best and my fav winner of all the time such a hero charactor
Also worth noting that Rich's immunity win at Final 7 of Borneo was arguably clutch, as Sue and Kelly were strongly considering turning on him that round while the numbers were there to do it.
Mike Holloway was the most obvious choice, he’s only the second competitor to win 5 individual immunity challenges and win the season!
Many will criticize Mike’s win for not being the most impressive win from a strategic standpoint, but I think it needs to be said Mike’s challenge success was not only impressive on its own, but he also did play well enough to at least get to a point where he could basically win out to make it to the end!
Mike was always in the majority and by the time he was a real target, that was when he kept winning, and as dumb as it was that the target he had on him was mostly his own doing, I would argue his game was still pretty solid from start to finish! Not quite as impressive as Tom Westman, who probably didn’t need to win his immunity challenges as much to win Palau, but still a deserved win at the end of the day!
Tom westman won 5 individual immunities and won palau
@@psychospike7458 shit that’s right my mistake, editing now!
@@JRJuggernaut1 well done to u
@@psychospike7458 appreciate catching that for me, literally I remembered every other player who won 5 individual immunity challenges but Tom 😅🤦🏻♂️
@@JRJuggernaut1 of the six people who have won 5 immunities in one season
Colby, Tom, Terry, OZZY, Mike and culpepper.
Tom is the one who comes last to mind for me.
Other clutch wins I can think of: Tom at final four in Palau (He's been in front the whole season and everyone left in the game has finally decided that he needs to go. But he wins immunity and goes on to win the game.
Tony at five in WaW, you've got to feel like Sarah turns on him and he goes home without that.
Sophie at four in South Pacific (who knows if she goes home if Ozzy wins but she certainly doesn't win the game). Similarly Russel at four in Samoa.
Danni at six in Guatemala (I feel like the was what really gave her the opportunity to shift the game state from a pagonging)
Yau-man at five in Fiji, Dreamz had the numbers to get him out and this win put him in a position to get the final immunity if either he or dreamz won it (in theory).
i would argue that Yul’s entire post swap tribe immunity wins are extremely clutch because if aitu lost even a single immunity along the way then the entire merge is a pagonging of aitu
glad to see Fabio after he was strangely missing from the underrated winners video
We LOVE to see Vecepia getting the credit she deserves
Ever since Mike threw away his trust from everyone in the auction he NEEDED those last five immunities!
He won 4 imunities + 1 idol play
Abi Maria's win should be here. Iconic moment.
Fabio’s win at final 5 is made more impressive by the circumstances, given that a mistake early in that challenge put him behind all 4 of others.
Laura M from Blood vs Water is also a contender you missed. She won so many duels that would have forced her out of the game.
I wish there were still challenges based on social game, like the castaway trivia. A large majority of the challenges nowadays really favour men and strength.
agreed 100%
Yeah...I still love Survivor, but it feels like they stopped trying with the challenges.
"Oh, look, it's an obstacle course and a puzzle. How exciting..."
I miss the psychological mind-games of destroying each other's clay masks (or whatever) to knock specific people out rewards hunts, or all the weird dynamics of the Blood vs. Water seasons. Even the eating challenges, or the Survivor auction screwed with their minds a little. But no. Obstacle course, puzzle.
Tom is clutch at F5 and Final 4. So is JT in tocations, and Nick in DvG
Funny how Deitz, Wiglesworth, and Colby were mentioned in the most recent episode of Survivor 43 and coincidentally in this video.
if shii ann isn’t number one idk how to feel
When they ask the new Survivors their favorite moment, this is mine. I mean, after Eric giving up his immunity… Just kidding.
It was clutch, except that it wasn’t. She survived one more vote and it really didn’t do anything Rob’s core alliance. Alicia was always going to be the first to go, she just left one vote earlier.
If we do look at more of the modern seasons:
Romeo winning the final 4 immunity was so out of left field and extremely clutch. I feel like had he not won immunity, Maryanne would most likely have been going to fire and possibly going home.
Erika winning the final 5 immunity was clutch even with her advantage. Ricard was beasting through those challenges and had he won immunity, Ricard would have easily won the season and Erika would have been voted out.
Tori winning back to back immunity wins was very clutch and was lowkey rooting for her but alas.
Did you watch Maryanne's jury speech? Basically every outcome ends with her at FTC.
And Erika going at 5 is probably not true. She already has Xander under her thumb, and no one left really likes DeShawn, so I think he would go.
Tori was pretty clutch though
Terry got done fking dirty with that final challenge.
Convenient timing for this to upload as Owen pulled off the clutch immunity win today!
Susie’s win at the final four in Gabon.! Without it, she gets voted out, but since she won immunity she was able to finish in 2nd. (She should’ve won)
Natalie's come back from the Edge. Romeo in season 43 to get 3rd place.
Thank you for posting the video.
Spencer's final five win in Cagayan was super clutch
When you said “It was put up or shut up, and for the first time in 3 season, Penner…” I was fully expecting “shut up” lol
I'm on work break now so I guess you could say this video came in *clutch* for me
That Vecepia move has been on like 25 survivor top tens... but I guess it’s just cause it’s so iconic!
who can forget the iconic challenge win for boston rob carrying his family on his back
10:16 a frame of survivor I will never forget
Sophie beating Ozzy in the SoPa final four immunity should definitely be on here
I’m surprised Sophie from South Pacific is missing. At final four she may not have gone home but never would have beat Ozzy at the final tribal.
"ERIK WINS INDIVIDUAL IMMUNITY! GUARANTEED A SPOT IN THE FINAL 4!"
Amazing list. I personally love abi marias win as well
Tony's immunity wins in winners at war. Allowed him to play so hard and control the game after the Tyson boot. He clutched, because of all the factors. He had never won before. And he paid 6 tokens for the first win. It's a great clutch story
I forgot about the tokens thing. That was so weird.
AFAIK Peridiam avoids talking about S40 too much because of how much most hardcore fans hated it.
tori better be here.
Penner's Final 10 immunity has to be number 1
Edit. Shit
Sophie in South Pacific
Rich in Borneo (arguably)
Tom at 4 in Palau
Ricard in 41
Au Survivor Spoilers:
I know this is just US survivor. But I don’t think anyone is more deserving of this list than Kristie. She was rarely a contender in challenges never winning immunity or a reward (that she competed in). Only to beat 2 best challenge threats of her season in Final 3, when she knew she would be on the jury if she lost. She stuck it out for 6.5 hours to win her season.
Tori and abi could have also been here
Kristie at the final 3 in Season 3 of Australian Survivor in 2016.
Shii Ann’s is my favorite clutch immunity win of all time
Haven’t watched the video yet, but early prediction for #1
Mike Holloway EASILYY
Erik was a beast in that final 5 challenge. Also, his aim was great in challenge before.
sophie clarke robbed 💔
I expect Shii-Ann and Danni on here.
This list should always be Mike… I mean you never know with the edit but seemed like he was going home anytime he didn’t win
Terry is my favorite player of all time so it frustrated me so much that he won so many challenges but lost the last one to fall just short of winning
Nice one on the LOTR reference
Id add Sophie’s final 4 win in sourh pacific
Sophie beating Ozzy should have been here
Surprised Abi Maria winning immunity didn't make it (I don't remember what it was at but I think it was when Carter was voted out)
Rich's win in season 1 was clutch. I remember he did a dance when he won. My entire family was excited because we knew he was out, that episode. He won the immunity challenge and we though "Well, better luck next tribal council."
Missed Underwood for both edge of extinction and final 4
who?
QUEENCHELE FITZLEGEND YES
this ones def more modern day but romeo in that last immunity challenge last season was pretty clutch just cause he was the ultimate underdog
I wish we had an honorable mention of Australian Survivor season 9 when Ben won his tribe the immunity challenge by having to hold up a very heavy snake and he outlasted a 1v8 or something like that.
Would love to see a video on times throwing a challenge actually worked.
I was rooting for Terry so intensely in Panama, and to see Mike basically repeat but pay off that destiny against even worse alternatives was so satisfying
unrelated, but i wish they would bring back the challenges about knowing the other castaways.
9:47 LMAO
Danni winning immunity at final 3 in Guatemala is one of the most clutch wins. Look at who her opponents were. Yea sure she had an advantage due to her height, but Rafe and Steph had been killing it in challenges while Danni had been arguably below average.
Bob in Gabon had crucial win at final 7, 6 and 5 that set him up to win a fire making challenge at 4. It was hard to believe the oldest man on the season beat all these young people in big challenges.
Tory winning her immunity challenges in season 42 was pretty great and if not Drea and Maryann getting spooked by their perceived racism and playing their idols there's a real chance one of them gets blindsided and she gets to keep sneaking by. Instead, Tory was put in a situation where it had to be her or the person everyone was aligned with.
A fun little thing about Terry winning his immunities is it actually saved Aras. Terry and his alliance were going after Aras who they knew was biggest challenge beast. If they flush the idol out of Terry and Aras doesn't have immunity, he's likely gone.
I'm gonna be honest, the quiet reluctant awkward goofy Erik "daaamn" Reichenbach being a win-out underdog "does what Terry didn't" winner is to me ALMOST as good as what we got. Hell, he nearly DID do that in Caramoan if only Alison Grodner didn't fly down and stab him.
WELL timed today with the clutch immunity win tonight. ARE YOU A WIZARD?!?!
Number 1 gotta be Penner's first ever immunity win
I love how fuckin normal and nonchalant Jeff used to be back in the day where he wasn't in possession of a god complex. The moment that swung a season happened when Vecepia won at F4 and he's like "well, that's 10, Vee wins immunity." Now if someone were to sneeze in an endurance challenge he's hype it up as THE most costly sneeze in Survivor history.
Chris Daugherty?
I'm surprised JT didn't get a mention with the last two immunity wins in Tocantins, because he was gone if he'd lost one of those two
Does Richard Hatch have a cluth win in Bornero. I feel like there was a time where he was going to be voted off on his birth day, but won and stayed
Tammy at the f8 in Marquesas
I was going to be so irritated if you didn't mention Mike lol 🤣😭
Sophie beating Ozzy in the final 4 definitely should’ve been here!
I hate that the right answer for number one is Mike Holloway, but dang, that guy was clutch
Lol guideline warning 👋🏻✌🏻
where is jesusita 😭
Challenges used to be so much more fun. Now 75% of individual immunity comps are endurance.
Mike is the greatest survivor ever imo.
I need a list with Amanda Kimmel at the top.
I personally think Kelly deserved to be the first ever winner of survivor , she was a challenge beast and a great player
great video, my favorite survivor winners are the one’s who are in clear trouble but immunity themselves to the end
Surprised kass’ win in Cagayan isn’t in here. It was so clutch and fun to watch live
I think one would argue had she not won in final 4 she would only have gone home if Spencer won instead, idk how important it was that she win otherwise!
I’d say Woo for final Tribal in Cagayan but Yknow…. It was very unclutched
Wentworth at f5 in cambodia .
I thought Natalie’s unexpected win on Redemption was monster for BRob’s control of the game. If Mike or Ralph had won who knows.
I was expecting Kim Johnson, as contested as her final four win is.
