Recovering from surgery and my whole family, sister, Mom, and 80 year old father are sitting together, sanding and assembling this amazing kit together. Thanks Jason for your creativity and the memories of this together 🖤🖤
LOL, I drove tractor trailers for UPS for 41 years. For about half that time, my mechanic was nicknamed "Fast Eddie". He took good care of me. Ever consider making your kits in O and/or S scale? There are fairly big markets there also.
I think since you have been building your own models, your channel has taken on a new dimension. Way to go, Jason, I never get tired of watching you build those delightful models!
I always find your "This is how I did it" videos interesting. On a side note its nice to see that even the best of us make mistakes now and again. Thanks once more. BTW, I like the 'tar paper' back of the model.
Jason, a fantastic video on building your great looking kit. Great details, and such artistic flair. Great job, keep up the great work. Cheers, and stay safe, Michael
Truly love watching you create. It’s nice to see you have another kid out there. My wife is commenting she’s a mess with what you do but wishes it wasn’t always so somber and the paint so tattered. Have you thought about maybe adding to one of your vignettes a man or two may be doing some handiwork on the house possibly painting a wall just to break things up a bit.? Just a thought
Ooh, I love the build. I don't have a place for a garage on this portion of my layout, but I bet I can fit it in one of the other towns I'll be building in the future. Nice kit!
Just bought my kit....my first Jason Jensen model structure! I will definitely follow your video for this kit and try to learn your great techniques. Thanks for the great info!
Top notch, Jason! Top. Notch. !!! I am nearly ready to begin my version of Red Hook Wharf from Foscale, and can't wait to utilize many of the techniques you demonstrate so well!
Hi ya Jason. Great new kit. It would be interesting to see what your fans who purchase this kit can do with it. A follow up video of some examples would be cool. I bet you could get some to send you short video clips and some still photos. Just a thought. See ya.
Jason, that is an awesome kit and will be looking to find a location on my lay out for this kit. This is just what I want on my layout and must find a spot for it. If you keep building the fabulous kits I will need to expand my layout. Great video!!! Beautiful kit!!!
Great kit Jason, loved it that much I went through the motions to buy it. However, $84 AUD for postage to Australia makes purchase unviable. Such a shame that we both loose out because of postal charges or some other unknown factor.
Hi, Jason! Just ordered your kit! One comment…I’m sure others have pointed this out… your shipping charges are reversed? The faster 3-4 day delivery is $8.75 and your ‘economy" shipping charge is $15 for 5 to 8 day delivery. That ain't right! 😁😁😁
Good morning Jason, My name is Dennis and I am from England really love your tutorials that you do like the Kit but unfortunately I do not modelling HO module in O scale is there any possibility you will release this in O scale look forward to your response
I remember one interior. It was in his "Old Garage in HO scale" video from three years ago. I don't know if there are others. ruclips.net/video/cNOo7SnQfoQ/видео.html
Hello Jason, i asked the same thing in an earlier video, but i think so late after it was posted that you didn't read it. I watch your videos for almost three years now. I am a big fan of your work, great what you do! I also like your artistic approach very much, your sketches of the houses are always a highlight for me! I have a maybe stupid question. Will all your sections be aged the same way in the whole final layout? I am not from the USA, I am from Austria. So maybe my point of view is different. I know it from my environment that new and old things always coexist. I think that's what creates the real tension. From the building site to the ruin there was (and is) always all conditions in most places. But I don't know if this is also the case in the USA? Maybe it was common that a complete area of a city was built very quickly and then "run down" over years? In Austria / Europe I know that only from bombed districts, which were created after the IIWW, mostly in the 60s, or housing projects. Almost everywhere after a few years the eyesore of a city. From an artistic point of view, it is of course attractive to create a masterpiece in one style. In a diorama or whole layout I find it also still really worth seeing. I also do it that way in my small dioramas, because it usually deals with one theme. So it is OK. On film sets of series and films, it realy annoys me meanwhile very much... That's why I ask. Many greetings Florian
I absolutely love aging and weathering structures. It really is my passion and I believe everyone should model the way they want to. A hobby is a brake away from reality and everyone should enjoy it in there own way. Follow your passion and create the world you want and don’t worry about what others think. It’s your hobby. Thank you so much for watching, I truly appreciate the support!!!
Awesome build , What was the first model that you released ? I'd also like to know more about your Patreon levels . Thanks for all you do for our hobby . peace to you and your family .
Thank you so much!!! I really appreciate it! You can visit my website at jasonjensentrains.com and you can visit my Patreon page at Patreon.com/jasonjensentrains. Thank you so much for watching! 👍
Love this kit! Just curious did you have a prototype inspiration, and what year do you suppose this would this have been a brand new construction? ~Dennis
Loved the model enjoyed the video but lord there were more commercials than content. In the last 5 minutes there were 3 commercial breaks with 2 commercials each
Quick question on the painting. Ive seen in this and past videos your technique of painting the individual boards so they come out looking like worn paint. On this one you use the sponge on the trim for the same effect it seems. As a beginner, why couldnt one use the sponge technique on the walls as well? It seems it would be easier for a more consistent effect for someone just starting (Like me).
I think this would a perfect kit (and I just ordered one!) to have an interior. That brings something to mind: Is there a way to pre-stain the walls as you did and NOT have to put in bracing (which would show if one added interior details? I was thinking there might be a way to put weights/books on top and not affect the stain. Any thoughts on this, Jason?
Thank you so much! I really appreciate it! You could lightly stain the front side then let it dry. Then put masking tape over the front side that you just stained then spray paint the back side of the wall with your interior color. Or even try spray painting a grey primer over both sides of the walls first then paint them. Let me know how it turns out. Happy modeling!!!
@@JasonJensenTrains Many thanks for the guidance, Jason. I will let you know how everything turns out, although it will be awhile since you're mailing the kit to my brother for a Christmas pick-up by me.
I like using rust colors from Ammo by Mig and also rust color pigments from Ammo. You can order from Andy’s Hobby Headquarters, they offer great service!
diagram? What if someone wanted the long wall and end wall on the back room of the model turned so that the long wall is turned towards the end of the large section of the building? Id there a way to include a strip section that would work for that as well?
Really like these builds, but your models kind of cover the 40s, 50s, even the 60s but your themes are modern. A quick oil change outlet is more in tune with the 80s, 90s, how about just rethinking the sign to a fallen gasoline brand offering oil changes?
Recovering from surgery and my whole family, sister, Mom, and 80 year old father are sitting together, sanding and assembling this amazing kit together. Thanks Jason for your creativity and the memories of this together 🖤🖤
It's always good to get your hands , ( fingers ) , into your work.
👍
Something just dawned on me. There's an auto shop in the town near me that's named Fast Eddies. 😂
Another great looking building (and sign)
Thank you so much Davie!!!

Another high quality kit & build Jason! Nicely done!

Congrats on the new kit Jason! Looks great... If I didn't have my own laser and 3D printers, I'd be buying one. Hope you sell a boat load of them!

Not offering it in O scale, sorry! Just trying to figure out HO scale first. Thanks for watching!
I know it’s not really your thing but I would love to see a fully done interior on one of your buildings
I have three videos on building a FOS auto repair shop and I did a full interior. It was a fun project. Thanks for watching!!!
I remember one interior. It was in his "Old Garage in HO scale" video from three years ago. I don't know if there are others. ruclips.net/video/cNOo7SnQfoQ/видео.html
If you go back farther I have a video called FOS auto garage. I think it’s 3 parts . Lots of interior castings from Rustyrail.
@@JasonJensenTrains I was talking about this one. and that one was never finished you were building a diorama and it wasn’t finished that I remember
Since it’s all digital, can you start releasing these kits in O scale? I’d buy this one AND the previous line side shack.
I may consider it for the future. Stay tuned and thanks for watching!!!

That kit looks great. Have you tried staining both sides of the thin wood to reduce wrapping?

Thank you so much!!! I make them myself.
What are your source suggestions for scratch building O-Scale structures? I want to model a small town from my childhood.
Very impressive, cool kit , what paint did you use for rust, where can I get this kit ,
right here james jasonjensentrains.com
