Friend, you are good at that Bass. And, Bass players (many including me) do play with a pick more often than not. It all comes down to serving the music, and you're doing a good job. Don't sell youself short like "I'm not a Bass player" because, I think you are one.
Joyo effects I like very much, I only have effects for guitars. Serie R is unreal in terms of quality and price. I assembled the whole PB (about +12 pieces). The bass effect looks very good, both in terms of sound and in appearance. Greetings to Pavel CZ. PS bass sometimes also torment, but only through the bass combo Marshall MB 30 (for home purposes is fully sufficient), has a decent distortion outside a solid clear sound.👍👍👍
I have to have been cursed as my MonoMyth had a faulty headphone Jack. That reminds me, I gotta return it to Amazon. I keep forgetting. EDIT: Got my new Monomyth and it still had a problem with the headphone Jack. I was about to return this one as well when I unplugged my Apollo A40tr headset and noticed it was a TRRS Jack for the microphone… So I went and got my proper Sennheiser HD 599 headphones and dammit, the thing worked fine. What threw me was the Joyo Cab Box headphone Jack works fine with the Apollo headset.
Hey! Just a question, heard about the new joyo pedal which is the tidal wave, which would you prefer between that and the monomyth? Btw a great video, in a few months ill be buying one of these two and it's a very hard decision, tho maybe joyo will make a newer better one haha😅
Your bass makes that noise because is a jazz bass and is not shielded properly. Eu prefer precision basses because they don’t have that static interference. Overall better for rock too
8:30 That strings look cool, but the color coating, prevent them to groud the bass when you touch the strings. Regular strings makes ground connection with the bridge so when you are touching them, the noise drops as does when you touch the bridge.
Actually is not a string fault I’ve discovered the issue only opening the plate of the pot and closing, probably something were touching, like soldering parts. Now is ok
@@MadSteex yes, the cause of the noise could be it, but what i meant was that, with regular strings without coating, the noise reduction you had when you touched the bridge or the plate, you would have it touching the stings. I'm not very good at english, but google "coated strings and grounding" there are some forum discussions that could explain better than me.
I wonder if the bridge doesn’t have a good ground link. I had the same problem on my guitar and found the wire had split leading to an intermittent ground. Replaced it with a much better ground wire and the guitar is totally silent now when not playing. I nearly deafened myself when I turned up the volume thinking it was to low and then played a simple cord and it blasted out of my headphones. 😳
At minute 8:10 you explain that it makes a strange ground noise, did you discover what it was ?, (I have the same issue... :/) Also thnx for the review c:
It's a passive bass guitar I guess, ands it seems that maybe the electronic compartment of the bass is not shielded. You can do that yourself with alu foil and tape. Make sure that the alu foil does not touch any of the contacts of the pots f.e. and make sure the alu foil DOES make contact with the ground / metal plate.
Ok guys, I need help. I bought this pedal and I can't even turn it on. Nothing happens. I tried connecting it to an audio interface to no results. Does anyone know what to do??
@@MadSteex It does not have an IR. It's an analog cab sim and you can't load an IR sample into to get different cabs, it's just the circuit built into it - and it only affects the XLR out, not the headphone or standard out.
First off - its shielding, not screening lol. Second off - even if the bass is properly shielded, the pickups will still catch anything that creates Electro-magnetic interference, in this case - he has his screen and probably PC right in front of him. I had the same issue, with a perfectly shielded bass - crazy noisy by my PC, as soon as I turn away like 180 degrees, noise is gone. So dont be so fast to judge. But if not shielded properly - that will just amplify the issue.

This pedal and the tidal wave is a dream combo

Haha that out of focus footage is no issue, mate! your setup and colors are so cool, so its just kinda artistic + we did come for the sounds 😅
best demo for this pedal.

Fantastic demo. Many thanks 🙏 I need one of those to boost the noise from my bass 😂
Thanks for the best review of this pedal
you're welcome :) thanks to you!
Great review! I wanna buy this pedal, but I do not have money right now. I’m sure that will be a good decision for my song in the church
I use this in church. And I love it

The Monomyth is more versatile, but I'm a really big fan of the natural tone of the Tidal Wave. (I have the Tidal Wave)
Thanks for the answer! I'll think more about it since it'll be months before i buy it😂😂, again thanks!!

Buddy, screen it yourself or give the master your bass guitar.
