They must have found a girl named Allison to endorse that transmission. I know Allison the company didn’t make it. Hope you’re still having good luck with it. Good video
I would say even the allison 1000 does what you were explaining. If you start from a stop aggressively and then start driving normally when it hits around 55-60mph, it seems to mess up how the trans wants to shift until you come to a stop again
Ford’s 10sp wasndeveloped with GM. Ford upgraded the 10sp for their SuperDuty trucks. However, the transmission is failing on the Ford 7.3l gas models. GM is having issues as well, especially with the diesels higher torque.
Does anybody know why they have trans tuning available for the Ford 10spd but not the "allison"? Everything that I've seen or read suggests that they are basically the same trans. Just not sure if the controllers are that much different.
It’s called warm idle knock you can google it to read more up on it. It has to do with the bell housing and the new 10 speed. It’s normal. Nothing to worry about.
Yeah If you can read it says The sound is often more pronounced in the interior of the truck as it’s amplified by the transmission bell housing and its normal nothing to worry about exactly what I said
Denny more imput on the gm Ford Allison confusion would be nice. Can you do a follow up video. Hopefully put some people at ease. The 10L1000 is completely different and totally unrelated to the 10L80 or the 10R80. Is my understanding and what I want to believe. I won't willingly buy anything ford. Ford is crap
Manufacturers spend hundreds of millions of dollars engineering these trucks, yet owners like this think it's a good idea to modify them for a few extra horsepower. All while voiding their warranty. This makes no sense. Just leave it alone and enjoy it stock.
Hundreds of millions of dollars huh yet they start falling apart before you hit 100k constantly in the shop regularly replacing parts that cost a lot of money we tune and modify because unlike you waster's we like making our shit last instead of scrapping it and buying another one be salty be mad but one of us is actually enjoying our vehicles the other Is chained by a warranty that will leave the damn thing In the shop more then on the road
@@fireflyraven2760 Speaking of salty, who pissed in your corn flakes? You totally missed the point. I made an argument for leaving things stock to maintain reliability. I thought the 10sp was joint development by Ford and GM. I have heard the 10sp is having major issues and GM is going to go with a 8sp from Allison in the future.
No it is NOT the same transmission that was co developed with Ford . Look up on RUclips hd GM 10 speed transmission and a video with the engineer will pop up and tell you all about it and he said it is not the same transmission. This is a good transmission I have this truck and no problems so far over 11k miles in 6 mouths . But I’m keeping it all stock I actually need my truck for WORK and not a mall cruiser or for playing in the mud. People mess trucks up when they tune it up and lift it.
Another good video man, I love these trucks!
Thanks man. I appreciate the support!
Did you know that’s not hey Allison that’s a GM product
True.
Allison doesn't claim it, build it or work on it.
They must have found a girl named Allison to endorse that transmission. I know Allison the company didn’t make it. Hope you’re still having good luck with it. Good video
There's a company named Allison been around for years.
@@arthurculver2773 You are correct. But that company didn't make this transmission. That's what he's saying.
They defuel the motor on shifts so it is easier in the clutch packs.
Is there a way to check trans oil level or add without the pressure pump at dealership

right on bro thanks for the knowledge very helpful!!! you rockkkk!!!!!
Can you do a video on how to do a filter and transmission fluid change?

The 10 spd in all vehicles based on the Ford and GM 1/2 ton chassis are the same, but I believe the heavy duty Ford and GM are a separate trans.
@@ChristopherPaulBacon-m2l not my understanding, the new gm 10 speed is the same as the ford. And not an allison at all.
@@ChristopherPaulBacon-m2l and that info came from CA conversions.
"Defueled on the shifts which is killing it when you're driving, like daily " What does that mean ?
It pulls fuel on the shifts doesn’t shift as strong as it could
Dude I haven't watched your channel at all yet but is your truck deleted?
I want the new 6.6 gas with the 10 speed. Hopefully GM will make that combo. Please do a 6.6 gas review
next model year!
Do you have the thumping sound I hear a lot of complaints of?
I’ve got one too, no thumping sounds for me as of yet.

The E drum fails on them first ... there’s a billet one made Rn to Handel it ... waiting on mine to blow up than will put that in
How hard is it for ppl to get there Inspections on these new trucks after getting them fully deleted
Gotta know the right dude. I don’t even take my truck to get it inspected I just bring the registration and write the miles down lol.

different trans than what gm/ford collaborated on.
