- Every year we set up an above-ground swimming pool, and we send Cousin Sal out to Hollywood Blvd to pull a group of confused pedestrians off the street, put them in bathing suits and make them compete in a belly flop contest. This year’s guest judges are Adam Rippon, Mark McGrath, Anthony Anderson’s mom Doris, and a special appearance from Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Engineer If water displacement is your criterion then they’d just give it to the biggest guy before they start.
The only thing that matters with a belly flop is how painful it looks and to do that you need to have as little horizontal movement as possible and the whole front of the body needs to connect before anything else
@@shadebug of course the biggest guy has the advantage and will probably feel the most pain because he has more surface area. Technique also matters and I thought he had pretty good technique. At the end of the day, big ppl have the advantage in belly flops and cannon balls. That's just how it is.

Engineer I’ll give you cannon balls. Cannon balls are absolutely about the most ball shaped person but if you’re going to have a panel of judges then you’re judging on form and “pretty good technique” doesn’t deserve all 10s, that sounds like the definition of all 7s.
Of course, Jimmy did say “most importantly, water displacement” so the competition was pointless from the beginning
