It would be great if they could put that outdoor sprayer / shower on the other side by the entry door so you could hose off your feet or the doggie feet before you go in . Have an option for outdoor shower privacy setup if you wanted to. Overall still really nice setup.
Need two hips now and never yet used my 2024 Lance 975 camper I bought from you guys.. NOT ONCE! So it's literally bran new!!! So we're going to sell it. I did put it in the RV trader at a huge loss. Wish me and Nancy luck OK! I'm not a salesman like you. I haven't even took it off the truck yet. lol, hey when you're down you're down!
Some comments about how big of a truck this camper needs, are incorrect . The Mammoth weighs 5000 lbs dry, with passengers, water, propane, clothes, food, genset and "what nots", you are effectively looking at around a 6,000 lbs payload . A 350/3500 dually ain't going to cut that kind of payload safely . I would opt for a 5500 chassis cab and by doing so, fully loaded on that truck, you will have enough safe payload capacity with over 3000 lbs of payload in reserve, if needed . Now, that's a lot safer than any 350/3500 set up . The 5500 chassis cab will set you back at least $60,K , $10K for the flat bed, (to mount the camper on), and a fully spec'd Mammoth will cost close to $90K . That's a lot of coin for a truck camper set up . I love the design of the Mammoth but that camper needs a heavy duty truck to haul it around, not a 350/3500 with beefed up suspension components .
Jeez almighty! This seems like hammerspace! And that bedroom! I remember the 1970s camper we had. The "master bedroom" was a slab of foam above the truck cab! lol
HOST is the Real Deal pushing BIG TRUCK Guys to another level! 550 Power Duly with after market XXXL HEAVY HEAVY DUTY Shocks & Struts with Re-enforced everything less there be any drag. HOST is the MOST
Not exactly how I speced mine but great to see the 23! Mine has the darker upholstery, oven, generator, TV, full solar, same bed and no washer (closet instead) . Looks like a perfect little luxury apartment to ride on the back of my 5500! Mid May can't come fast enough! Matt @ host said you need sewer/ water/ power to use the washer so that's not for boondockers. I'll find a laundromat. Oh, I'm also replacing the toilet and black tank with a Cinderella Freedom incinerator toilet!
I like the idea of the washer / dryer but would definitely cover it with a curtain or light slide door. It's kind of an eyesore placed in the living / dining room.
Wow that weight! Probs 6000lbs wet weight. I just got a Tahoe 2023 love their builds and space use. * Do not get their upgrades( cameras) etc, doing yourself will cost 1/8 less.
The door sticker said just short of 5k for the weight as equipped. I think that puts this in the 350 dually gas with a low trim level like xl. Or similar.
I hope they got their leaks and other post production problems fixed because these units are amazing. Dunno about the large sink. If you are boondocking with small tanks, I'd want two smaller sinks to limit water use.
Personally, I prefer a larger sink to divide up projects. One or two square plastic sink buckets for washing dishes. Lift them out for other projects like washing dishtowels or veggies. Don't care to be limited by the dividers because the size of my projects varies.
@@blairM363 It's off to the side with a closet and drawers, right outside the bathroom. Yes, you would need to be hooked up to sewer to use the washer. But you also need to move the camper too
How much water and power does the washer use? How many cloths can it do? Anyone use it boondocking? Sounds cool but is it practical? Laundry Mat or hand wash?
In 2024, suggested list for this model with all the best options is $170,000 CDN. Add a top of the line truck capable of carrying this, and your looking at another $160,000. All plus tax of course.
Dry weight 4600 ish. Expected in use weight 6500 ish. Mine comes in May, it's going on a built up Ram 5500. They'll tell you a 3500 dually will carry it, and it will empty right at your payload.
78 base plus options I think. When I was done with mine, it was 137. Max Solar adds 26 on its own. Mine has rear closet no washer, has generator, oven, TV, exterior speakers. Darker interior and couch option. Luxury apartment on wheels.
@stackula99 You definitely can get a bigger trailer for cheaper but then you would have a trailer... Sadly, my truck is too big and not compatible for this unit. A 5th wheel rv is too small for me lol.
I don't think you can do recliners. Dinette or couch. Recliners are available in the Cascade. The washer is a dryer as well. You must be on park connections to use it so I decided it wasn't for me.
Look at the Yukon. It has the recliners right across from the TV and fireplace. In my lottery winner world, I'd add a lighted makeup and jewelry holder to the pantry door closest to the light plug. Outside of the door of course. Yes I'd put a hole in the door. But my clothes would be there anyway. Hubby gets the other closet and drawers. Oh King bed with the mirrored closet.
Most of those small RV washers are combo washer and dryers. I actually have one I installed and they work well, however, they don't use heat to dry. It basically spins the clothes as dry as possible, but they do remain a little damp requiring you to hang the clothes up for a few hours.
You opened every cabinet door and drawer but didnt say what type toilet it was. Smh. Unless im incredibly idiotic and am supposed to know and don't...but I would have liked to have known.
I think it’s all pretty straightforward
Yea, "kinda"
"Nice S23" is an oxymoron.
It would be great if they could put that outdoor sprayer / shower on the other side by the entry door so you could hose off your feet or the doggie feet before you go in . Have an option for outdoor shower privacy setup if you wanted to. Overall still really nice setup.
Definitely my favorite truck camper.
But boy is it a Monster !!

Who in their right mind would pay 100K for a camper? Seriously folks, are we that gullible today?
Imagine what you could build for 100k.
You loose 40-50% off the lot. Imagine knowing that and still buying that.
I don't see how a bank could loan money to buy a new one with depreciation like that.
This paired with a large dually is same cost as a diesel Mercedes van....just saying
Yep! Some folks retire and spin their savings into something like this to travel. No fool like an old fool.

I've only seen these on F450s. Better turning radius, too, but the payload seems to be max'd, on paper anyway.

My only question is……is that camper “traditional” or “straight forward” Lol. I own a large Arctic Fox and absolutely love it! I can still hall a boat.

A lot more space than you would think!.thanks!

Yes, that makes the number of trucks that can haul this very limited, AND expensive. 😢

Yukon has a better floorplan for the washer dryer combo. Glad to see the one sink in the kitchen area.
How is the Yukon’s floor plans better for the washer/dryer? I am considering buying this or very similar, if you could share I would appreciate it.

You need a monster 350/3500 to drag that around. Better of with a class 'C' I believe.
I could live in that comfortably
Where can I go to find out what kind of options I have with this particular camper
How much water and power does the washer use? How many cloths can it do? Anyone use it boondocking? Sounds cool but is it practical? Laundry Mat or hand wash?
Few quirky things but that thing has the best utilization of an over the cab truck Gamper to date.
Carpet under the washer; brilliant!!

how many slides do I have to pull out when I need to use the washroom on the road ?😮
All of them
I hate to be pedantic but all ac’s are heat pumps? You mean it can also reverse and do heat?
This why people are broke and walk around blaming others for not having a pot to pee in...
But the have this. 😂😂
Why are the toilets always between a wall and a sink.... I need some elbow and leg room! This thing is HUGE give the god damn toilet some space!
Don’t use the gas cooktop anymore, use induction stove top
Where is the dryer?
what do u need to carry the dam thing a semi or what
How much does this monster weigh? F-550 zone?

What size truck do you need to haul this?
An f350 from ford at least! I would go w a dually f450.
I haul mine on a 2006 chevy 3500 single rear wheel
GMC Kodiak.
How much does one of those cost?
Would a 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 V6 haul this truck camper 😊
Probably if it was 2 wheel drive. You would probably want to turn the overdrive off. I haul my 22 model on my 2006 chevy 3500 single rear wheel
How does all that fit in the bed of a pickup truck??? That's HUGE!!! What is the MSRP on that monster???

Too much cheddar for a 5000lb brick in the back of your $80000 truck. Could get alot of trailer for that kinda money.
