Simply breathtaking. I'm constantly in complete and utter awe and love for this band. It's just a pity they never seem to be in Scotland... at least when I have cash for a gig. :(
It is so miserable, so morose... so beautiful. And whether you get that or not pretty much determines if you get Anathema or not. I don't get people who cut themselves or want to end their lives (I've wasted too many months living with a girl like that) at all. What I do get is music like this being an outlet for sadness, depression, feelings of hopelessness. The music is so beautiful, so utterly devine, it touches so deep inside. God I love this band!
That's one of such "fat" songs, which will go to the big pantheon of music, and it's vibration will go through universe, even when we won't be here any longer.

This band even though they don't play metal now, you can see that 80% of the crowd are metalheads. Old school Death/Doom metal Anathema and Melancholic prog/rock are both awesome.
Too bad they didn´t play the song in Cologne in December 2008. But, they will next time (in fact Danny and vinnie promised it to me personally) All Band members are so nice and friendly persons, they are the personification of fan-nearest band ^^
Desde mi modesta opinión, creo que éste fue el último disco de ANATHEMA, alternative 4 es simpático pero lejos de la grandeza que nos brindó esta banda muy subestimada y poco apreciada. Aun extraño crestfallen, serenades, pentecost, silent enigma y eternity... grandes discos, siempre me pregunto porque cambiaron???? algunos que se creen conocedores dicen de los nuevos discos, "solo para mentes abiertas" totalmente absurdo... METAL IS THE LAW... DOOM DEATH la raiz de esta banda...
@ khashayarviper...they're not two brothers, they're 3 brothers, Vincent and Jamie are twins, Daniel is their brother... They had an amazing performance in Lebanon...an unforgettable night...i got backstage and met them...these guys are amazing. !
One of my top 5 songs ever, the singing falls abit short live though usually. I dont agree that the orchestra distracts too much, it did on other tracks on this album but it fits perfectly on Angelica. Still holding my breath for a perfect live rendition of Angelica.
