10 Hyena against 1 Kudu and a Hippo joins the scene | Timbavati Nature Reserve | Greater Kruger

One of the craziest moments I have ever had while guiding. Now this happened quite a few years ago, in the days where being behind the wheel of a game viewer was my office.
Nowadays I find myself behind the camera on the back of a vehicle. Anyway this was one of those surreal moments on safari, not planned but pure luck.
we came across this female Kudu that was stuck in a dam, not because of mud because she was surrounded by Hyenas. At the time if memory serves there were probably about 10 Hyena maybe more all around dam.
She stood her ground as best she could and decided to swim across the dam, only to bump into a bull Hippo, luckily for her he wasnt too bothered but the Hyenas came around and she had to swim back where she again fought off these Hyenas.
We were there for about 2 hours, but this carried on through the night, until exhaustion caught up with her and the Hyenas finally had their meal.
Crazy and unreal sighting - I didnt do anything to the video and kept it as RAW as possible.
