I like to just follow the grid work it almost like im weaving in the end of a chain (might be a bit of a nightmare if its alpaca or mohair thought)

yeah i just weave it into the existing mesh and trim usually around a corner/intersection point!

you can follow the pattern the exact same way as written, but use a dc instead of a tr and work into every 3rd stitch instead of every 4th stitch!
Help…. I’m confused about how to do the centre back panel (the sleeve up back section) Not sure where I should start and how I connect to the front panels 😩
just continue working straight up in the section between the two front panels, then seam together at the top!

in my opinion if u are not happy with a project you absolutely NEED to frog it no matter how far along you are. otherwise u just end up with something you're not satisfied with and aren't gonna wear. one of the best things about knit/crochet is being able to customize a garment to how you want and it kind of defeats the purpose when you say "good enough" instead of redoing it. its super annoying but you will never regret trying again
