Actually, the balls are made of solid latex rubber, or possibly Smartballs since these lottery machines and balls are manufactured by Smartplay International inc....
@@201081hero I had a look at them; they're definitely Smartballs because I can make out the plastic look in the number boxes. Besides, if you look closely at the original solid latex balls, they have the Bietel logo moulded onto them.
That problem sorted out and The National Lottery worked with Smartplay International and fix the fault. He in NZ the same thing didn't happen on a Powerball draw on 25 October 2014. Lotto worked with Ryo Catteau and fixed the fault.
One of the Thunderball machines failed, I think around 2005. There was an issue with ball selector, it came up empty twice and was refusing to go back down into the balls until the draw master overrode it somehow. They completed the draw then and there, despite the machine not functioning properly.

That's the first time that the Lotto machine failed since 1996, when on that year, the machine failed to start.....
Indeed - the safety catch on the door failed to engage on that occasion and it was a simple fix of replacing the wire
Wasn’t there a fault in the 2000 special where the draw was meant to move but didn’t?
@@Hgames_RBLX Yes there was.
@@Hgames_RBLX Yes but that was a set fault not a machine fault.
