Film Out is a masterpiece in production, vocals, and aesthetics. It's calming, yet powerful. The harmonies of the vocal line and cadences of the rap line are just *chef's kiss. Forever one of my all-time favorite songs.

What I’ve noticed in all of BTS’ songs and what sets them different from all groups are the adlibs. JK is the master adlibber! Also, when there’s harmonization with the rappers! It just gives that oomph!
Jungkook composed Film Out with the Japanese rock singer Iyori Shimizu, and it’s so heartbreakingly beautiful. Almost all the songs that Jungkook was involved in making (wrote/composed/produced) are very romantic and have a lot of yearning and passion like Love Is Not Over, Film Out, Your Eyes Tell, Still With You, Magic Shop, etc. And his adlibs are always a cherry on top.

I think Jin sings the most difficult part of this song. His vocal range is wide, and he conveys the world of song with a gentle, powerful voice with a low, high, and beautiful singing voice. I cry when I hear his singing voice.

Everyone is usually hyped for high notes and rightfully so, but what touches my heart most in this song is Tae’s soulful low tone. Esp in the last Vmin harmony.
Jimin’s voice on these kinds of ballads has almost like a “cry” sound to it. It’s a lot of emotion combined with the unique way he ends his phrasing…I can only describe it as a cry. 🤷🏻♀️ Probably an incorrect term but whatever the proper way to say it, it’s uniquely Jimin and you’d never mistake his voice as anyone else. This song is so much better live so I’m glad you added in that reaction. Jungkook’s ad libs and vocal line harmonies in this are perfection. Thank you! 💜

Did you know that Don't Leave Me and Film Out were OST for the same Japanese series? I was surprised when I first watched it, then DLM played as the intro song. FO became part of the OST when the supposed 3rd season was turned into a movie. l love the songs and this series though I haven't watched the movie yet.
I love this song. I especially love the parts where Tae and Jimin are singing together. I would love to hear them sing another song together where they harmonize more with each other. There’s been a lot of discourse lately about Jungkook not writing anything in his solo album and then I’m reminded that he co-wrote Film Out and Your Eyes Tell, two of the most beautiful songs in BTS’s Japanese discography along with many of his other songs. The vocal line is magnificent in this song and the rap line is outstanding. Jungkook’s harmonies and adlibs are always on point.
Jungkook has a vocal clarity in his voice when he sings higher registers that blows my mind - it's like he can cut diamonds with it, it is so pure On the subject of tonal changes when singing/talking in a different language, I hear it mostly in Suga.... I've noticed very often that when he raps in Japanese he uses a more nasal tone and it fascinates me
Now that you mentioned JK wrote it, it makes sense! He's good in singing high notes, harmonizing & rapping! it's usually harder for me to attach to their japanese songs, but I love Film Out instantly. the vocals are so soulfully beautiful. for me, the vocal line stood out in the MV but then the live version... I was stunned by angel jimin! Remind me of videos where parents filmed their crying babies & the babies stopped crying when jimin's song's on.
