Rheanyra and Viserys, are quickly becoming 2 of my favorite characters in all of the Song of Ice and Fire series. Viserys just wants to be a good king and a loving father but he’s still struggling with traditions. While Rheanyra has those beautiful heart to heart moments with Criston Cole, and even though there is some chemistry you can see it’s not romantic, just 2 people being completely honest with each other. Plus the way she walks into camp covered in the blood of her kill 🔥🔥 those men weren’t looking at her as a prize but as a badass princess they would happily kneel to.
Paddy Considine is fantastic as Viserys, and his scenes with Milly are amazing. The two of them are great in these rolls. Too bad the time jumps are going to leave us with a new actress for Rhaenyra this season. She may be great too, but I'm going to miss Milly in this role.
Reminds me of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe cartoon from the seventies, which was a perennial sick day watch and my childhood gateway to the fantasy genre.
@@cursedkei66 It was a rumor, It cut her father but not her. She was the rightful heir and had the Gods blessing. Viserys deatroyed the house of the Dragon the moment he chose to marry Alicent. He was weak but he chose her. You don't know If She would have ruined the Targaryen if whats hers wasn't taken from her.
I don't think that is the case. First because of the context, the conversation between Corlys Velaryon and Rhaenys Targaryen, during the bloody tournament the show portraits how, after so many years of peace, people deep down wants war. So that situation is fair for conflicts. Second because there are 2 strong rivals for the Throne, Daemon who wants to be king and he doesn't even try to hide it and the Velaryons, because they are Targeryen related, they have wealth and most important Rhaenys is there. So it's highly probably that without Otto's schemes the conflict would have been inevitable at one point. In fact, Otto's plan, trying to marry his grandson Aegon II with Rhaenyra was not a bad deal (in terms of the realm), because you have a Targaryen rightfull heir, remember not all the house are agreed with Rhaenyra as the future queen, Rhaenyra would have been a rightful queen and Daemon and the Velaryons would hadn't rights to the throne anymore. But of course Viserys didn't want that because she wants Rhaenyra to be happy. And that is one of the most important things people use to miss about Rhaenyra, the show makes you empathize with her because she is young, beautiful, she seems fragile, she suffers because of her position and all that, but deep down there she is ambitious too, no matter the cost, she wants the throne and she thinks she deserves it, no matter if this is something accurate or good for the real. This is something we see when Rhaenys and Rhaenyra are speaking in a not very good mood. A drunk Viserys recognized it at the fire, he knows he made a mistake naming Rhaenyra as heiress. He basically did it because he lost the hope after Aemma and his son died and now he doesn't want to upset Rhaenyra. Viserys had only 2 options, the first one, before naming Rhaenyra, was to celebrate a council as Jaehaerys did, with the risk that Daemon could have been the chosen one (Viserys himself didn't want that too) or the second one, after Alicent had Aegon: to marry him with Rhaenyra, something that Rhaenyra would have hated because she wants all the power.
I rewatched episode 3 and the details on Viserys is amazing.. you can see his pinky finger constantly on bandage and then when they went hunting he is wearing gloves in public.. also notice how he raised his pinky when he is about to stab the deer.. and in the scene with alicent back in kingslanding, his pinky and ring finger were already amputated

@@blackflagsnroses6013 Alicent convinced him that if Rhaenyra took the throne, she would end their entire side of the Targaryen line. Aegon didn't even want the Throne in the beginning
If Otto was clever, he would have pitched Rhaenyra to marry himself. Think about it, he lost his wife, so he is currently available. If he were to marry the princess then when Viserys dies, if Rhaenyra takes the throne he becomes King Consort, and if Aegon takes the throne, he becomes de facto regent, either way, he can't lose.
Spoilers for future episodes but I just realized . . . . . . . . . Viserys saw the Conqueror's crown on Aegon's head in the dream, not because he would be a great king, but because one of one of the twin Kingsguard took Viserys' crown to Rhaenyra!
People end up hating the series when it’s not like the books, like Eragon, Divergent, and Percy Jackson: The lightening thief. All great movies, especially eragon, but because they weren’t like the books people stopped watching and they were canceled.
@@buggy5079 Yes, but it would take a while and possibly spoil things for others. Maybe just read them? Or, if you prefer audio/visual methods, there are many videos on RUclips telling the story. To give you a start... here is short list off the top of my head: In the books, Rhaenyra and Alicent were not friends and had a large age gap, and Rhaenyra and Aegon had a smaller age gap. Rhaenyra was 9 years younger than Alicent. Vicerys was also younger than he is portrayed. There is no mention of Aegon's prophesy and no explanation for how Aemma died. Rhaenyra and Vicerys were very close and he doted on her. The tourney in episode 1 was not for the heir; it happened later. This whole hunting situation never happened in the books. So, as you can see, there are many changes. Those are some of the "non-spoilery" adjustments. But we should also keep in mind that the story in the book is supposed to be from the perspective of unreliable narrators. I do suggest checking out the source material when you have time. Thanks for the video, y'all!
@@buggy5079 Mainly the timeline: to cut down on time-skips, basically every event that happened throughout Rhaenyra's childhood (Criston Cole becoming Kingsguard, Daemon disinherited, him stealing a dragon egg, Viserys marrying Alicent, etcetera) were moved forward into her teen years, and the ages of many characters and when various events happened were shifted around. Because the source material was more of a fictional history book than a full narrative, many of the scenes in the show were written to fill in the gaps, and some (like the entire royal hunt sequence) were entirely invented for the TV series. Other important differences include Rhaenyra's relationship with Alicent (they were not childhood friends in the book, Alicent was nine or ten years older, and they didn't even seem to meet until she married Rhaenyra's father), the race-swapping of the Velaryons and Mysaria, Mysaria's pregnancy being written out, and the details of the war in the stepstones being completely different. The rest of the changes are mainly minor ones, like Rhaenys's hair color or no Targaryens ever having purple eyes.
We were cringing in an “oh buddy u have no idea where this is headed” way… given up on caring about book differences since the sand snakes happened lol

I promise you all that Aegon II will be your most hated character by the series end. I can’t stand him!!!
He’s not that bad tbh. Before the war he seems more like a Bobby B than a Joffrey. Aemond(while my personal favorite) is objectively worse
War changes people.
@@Weeby_historian Aemond is just another Daemon honestly. Characters like Daemon and Aemond understand that war isn’t what the poets and bards claim
@@charlesw5919 a war that didn’t have to happen if he just accepted his father’s ruling of who his heir would be. The war that was the beginning of the end for house Targaryen and their extinction
@@blackflagsnroses6013 Alicent convinced him that if Rhaenyra took the throne, she would end their entire side of the Targaryen line. Aegon didn't even want the Throne in the beginning
That dude in the pink/peach has always remind me of Jamie Dornan. Lol
I am quickly falling in love with this channel omfg XD
Let's be honest, 9:21 is why we're all really here.
Who is he
i think lannisters are famous by their twins.
This reaction was not ruined. Thank you.

Mds só agora que eu ouvi 🇧🇷🇧🇷
Q ouvido eh esse eu n consegui ouvir kkkk
Olenna Tyrell was a Redwine before she married. I guess that's where she learned how 2 throw shade.
Is that Jamie Dornan at the bar, watching the episode?!? 😉
11:07 King Robert stopped for more wine.
Still can't believe Burlington Bar is back with another GoT stuff
If Otto was clever, he would have pitched Rhaenyra to marry himself. Think about it, he lost his wife, so he is currently available. If he were to marry the princess then when Viserys dies, if Rhaenyra takes the throne he becomes King Consort, and if Aegon takes the throne, he becomes de facto regent, either way, he can't lose.
Must’ve got inspiration from Reign of Fire for Caraxes coming from the darkness
I love how somesame people showed up...years later. I so enjoyed the reactions
Morgan is adorable her reactions are so pure
It’s the crab boil for me
Good catch. Will we see Mushroom in this show?
Spoilers for future episodes but I just realized

Viserys saw the Conqueror's crown on Aegon's head in the dream, not because he would be a great king, but because one of one of the twin Kingsguard took Viserys' crown to Rhaenyra!
I wish there is a bar in Brussels where I can watch it with some people that would be absolutely fun
The lady wearing leopard print (sorry don’t know her name) looks like she could be a Targaryen
Her hair looks like Rhaenys from the books
I'm loving her look 🥰
I’ve had a crush on the guy with the orange button up shirt since GOT reactions!!!
Hiya everyone!
MooooorBiUs!!! Where are you?!? It’s Moorbin’ Tiiiime!!
After watching so many episodes of this I still don’t know where is this bar? I wanna watch with ppl too!
it's literally in the opening titles. You must skip them every time lol
@@SeanTanktop omg 😳 I do skip to the reaction. Well, now I know why I don’t know. Yikes, my bad
no worries man! If you're ever in Chicago come on over!
for more than 4 years I called the guy in the corner with that pink shirt The Stephen Amell guy, but now I think he looks like Sean McVay
Need a part 2 FASTER!!!! 😀😀😀
people actually expected the series to be the same as the books?? oh my...
People end up hating the series when it’s not like the books, like Eragon, Divergent, and Percy Jackson: The lightening thief. All great movies, especially eragon, but because they weren’t like the books people stopped watching and they were canceled.
Could you explain please what is different is the books up until the third episode?
WE'RE BACK BABY! 😍😍😍
Can someone tell me the name of the last song? Its just an targaryen theme. Powerful
I believe it's rhaenyras theme, hasn't been officially released yet tho
Thanks for the video!!!

I just noticed here, that jason lannister sounded/speaks like tyrion
I don't know if anybody else noticed this, I was rewatching the end of E2 before starting this episode last night... Daemon sounded EXACTLY like Ramsay Bolton when he was talking to Corlys. Scared me 😧
@@themulattomaker2602 exactly, I noticed that too the first time he said "wonderful" on dragonstone scene
