I ALWAYS have to give props to Inarizaki's libero. I don't even know his name but every time I've watched this match/season 4 I'm in awe of how many balls he saves. One of the best liberos in the whole series and he never had a proper introduction lol
His name is Akagi
@@clampies3815 ah thanks! i read the manga such a long time ago and i usually "rewatch" the anime by watching together with reactors so if he was introduced i most certainly missed it.
"We don't need the memories" is by far my favorite banner in the show. Awesome mentality to have, in any sport that's the mentality of the champions
By far my favourite, just such a great motto.
i think it's a nice saying but it's too long for a banner. I like the simplicty of "fly" or "iron wall"
@@2ntwins iron wall isnt the motto for datech lol that's just their nickname, I distinctly remember the banner having the word impenetrable before and they updated it to inpregnable or smtn like that, but most banners aren't short
@@mura_saki You must have either remembered wrongly, or seen a different/unique way of translating the Date-Kou banner, because it has always been 「伊達の鉄壁」="Iron Wall of Date".
After MSBY game, my favorite is Kuroo's "connect"!
The evolution moments that took sooooo much time before fruition always make me emotional: Hinata's perfect receive, Yamaguchi's float serves against Seijoh, Tsukki blocking Ushiwaka, Nishinoya (w/ Kinoshita's help) receive Atsumu's float serve. They feel so earned because some of these moments take multiple episodes or even seasons of seeding. And through the training arcs, we're actually right there with them when they kept failing, they kept doubting themselves, and the slow successes. Just reinforces the moral of Haikyuu that hard work is important. You may not win all battles no matter how hard you work, but even then, you've become better than the person you were yesterday.
"Skylab Hurricane" is a reference to a soccer anime "Captain Tsubasa".
It's a special move perform by twin brothers.
Hinata had a bunch of impressive spikes throughout the series, but it makes me emotional how his ~receives~, like the one that finally got Kageyama to toss to him for the first time (that Suga so conveniently remembered), seem to have an even bigger impact on the story!
The last food analogy is also 🤌- I really love this way of delivering more complex thoughts through simple, very relatable analogies.
Thanks for a great reaction with great editing, I actually got more excited about it than I expected :"D Karasuno losing that point was just mean, but I love it when such anticlimactic moments are sprinkled in too, especially when they serve a purpose!
The 'Hunger' analogy is one of the best piece of writing in fiction.. not just writing!!
I LOVE IT SO MUCH!
Why is no one ever freaked out by the fact that the twins did minus tempo quick in reverse? Even by haikyuu standards that move is absolutely insane. I watched at least 10 reactions and never seen anyone notice lol.
7:38
Because at this point of the story and match most folks are focused solely on Karasuno's plays and hoping they win.
@@manicmcgee1 yeah most of the people are making a face when the other team did a great play. Its a pity since they are karasuno fans they don't know how to appreciate other team plays.
I personally pay a lot of attention to everything. So i noticed. And i never read the manga. I always do wish i can find reactors who pay enough attention to notice these things
tbh them being twins probably makes it easily believable for most reactors so you can't blame them too much
Hinata's receive was very satisfying to see since hes been trynna grow since the start of the season.
Current Japanese men's national team is famous for the "double set" play.
Every time it happens the commentators go wild and I love iiiiiiiiit
the editing these episodes is hilarious 😂 props to BOLD editor san
BOLDeditor-san went IN on these last episodes!
That rally is my favourite in all of Haikyuu. It's like watching 3-4 plot twists within 5 minutes.
also the twins track is an absolute bop. everytime that saxophone goes off i get so pumped up
I don't consider this a spoiler bc the anime just completely skips it, but right after this episode ends inarizaki does a powerful serve, but karasuno does a perfect recieve, perfect set, and perfect kill. They get the point like nothing.
BOLDeditor-san was on a roll while processing this video
07:30 idk if u both noticed but the twins swapped places. The setter spiked the ball and the spiker set the ball and they pulled of a minus tempo. It's like hinata setting the ball and kageyama spiking it
7:38
One of the best eps of the season. Also the editing was good
Up~ thank you editor San
Last reaction: it's not as hype, the game isn't the focus, i'm not at the edge of my seat
🤡🤡🤡
Lmao
The double set play is my favourite play.
Especially when Ngapeth (from the french national team) does it.
For the shonen-like hype, the point of the episode is Hinata's receive, something new and unexpected. For players, the moment was the last net touch. You can have miraculous plays, you can elevate your hopes and take all of your energy with you for that point.. and still lose it
All I'm saying is that if they want to stay in the sports shonen zone, Ace of Diamond would be a wonderful follow up!!!
11:17 “oh no, hinata is serving” 😂😂 i love how hinata being in the back row makes us feel certain uneasiness up until this point. that's why that receive is so shocking. when we see aran approaching for the spike it feels like a done deal. no reactor i've seen even call noya's name in that moment like they usually do for other possible digs (like 'someone save it. noya' even when noya isn't on the court). but then ball boy hinata comes in clutch. but then they don't get the point. but then hinata turns it into a wholesome moment. oh man haikyuu exceeding expectations (looking at Carson's fervent belief in karasuno's loss hehe)
Inarizaki banner is the coolest shit ever 👑 ALSO HINATA, BABY IM SO PROUD OF YOU 😭🧡👏
I truly thought the same thing as Daichi. You had to be fucking kidding me when that ball hit the tape and went over
Even though it's relatively simple, flag up means "out" and flag down means "in"
2:31 LMAO that's exactly how I feel listening to Carson's analysis about why we're gonna lose (which is a very fair guess. i was watching it as it came out and had absolutely no idea if we had it in us to beat the 2nd beast team in Japan).
haha I knew you will change your mind about what you said last episode once you see this one and I love how you guys actually addressed it. one of the best episodes of Haikyuu for me and it only gets better exponentially with the remaining ones :)
ngl i felt so proud of Hinata with that receive, i teared up a bit 🥹
Hinata's receive made me cry man... the whole story leading up to that one receive was just fucking awe inspiring and made this match one of my favorite of the whole series.
"Just thinking about it gets your heart racing"
This is the reason I love S4P2, this is where the pacing was, I know the pacing so far was bad but the last few episodes atleast picked the the series a bit more.
How was the pacing bad???
@@AllTheArtsy I think they explained it pretty well in the last episode's discussion
Normally I don't care about all this stuff, but only a few moments hit hard this season in comparison to previous ones
@@Pokemetry that's weird because i felt that the pacing was pretty good, it was like this as well in the manga.
The editing was on point this video lmao
Absolutely love the hilarious edits this episode!
Well, this episode is storyboard and directed by the main director himself, Masako Sato. She involve in last 3 season of Haikyu production as animator and storyboard for some of the episode which is probably why she was pick as Susumu Mitsunaka replacement. Personally pacing wise, this episode remind me of S3 EP 4 which have same intense rally culminating with an amazing play that took both the game and character development to new level. Tsukishima blocking Ushiwaka in S3 EP 4 and Hinata perfect recieve for this episode. Guess who is the storyboard for S3 EP4? Masako Sato herself. So yeah, Carson your analysis is not that far off when it comes to pacing and direction.
I'm pretty sure Masako (雅子) is a female name. Just saying.
@@bdylp1098 You know what? You are right. I search a little more and it seems like Masako Sato is female. That was my mistake. Sometimes it kinda hard to determine gender of some newer anime director because we never seen their faces. I should have use neutral prounoun nevertheless. Thanks for the info.
@@aoyamariku9065 No probs! (^_^)b
15:25 besto momento
This episode is one of my favorites in history. The usual thing was for Karasuno to lose because of the constant unlucky points lost to an incredibly brave Inarizaki (especially his Libero, seriously the guy is Nishinoya wearing white shirts). But Hinata shows why he's the protagonist: he's enjoying it a lot, he's breading and vibrating the volleyball to the fullest. He is evolving so much that others cannot deny it and cannot remain indifferent to it. Tsukishima talks about this a lot throughout the story, how annoying Hinata is because when he gives 100% Tsukishima feels obligated to give 100% too. *Hinata and Kageyama are something else, they build differently.*
just notice that carson has the playmobil haircut :)
5:48 idk why i laugh so hard. on this. i guess the way she says it
whoever the reactor, the thumbnail for this episode is the same.
by the way, great reaction 😂
Ahhh one of my fav episode😭🤍
BALL BOY ARC BESTO ARC 🧡🖤
Can we just appreciate 21:37?
This episode reminded us that hinata is the main character.
This episode is missing from your playlist.
❤️
Dude stop pouring on the camera, enjoy what you are seeing xd
Season 5 arrived 2023
Where's my comment wtf.
Can you react to One piece
Why dont you watch otachis backstory before you think you know things
Begging yall to watch black clover day 11
Laughing at how wrong you are about the outcome of this match. You completely ignored things the writer has set up, the biggest thing being that this current Kurasuno team needs to play this current Nekoma team for there to be closure. Also, you missed the interactions between other characters and Kurasuno members. To be so sure they'd not win this match is hilarious.
