100% great comment. I felt sorry for the guy. His dream moment and all the talk is on the young man. The perfect final in many respects. So glad he won it. The guy is the smoothest machine. Very pleasing on the eye and a real top man. Like you say such a credit to the sport 👏👏👏
LUCKIEST WINNER EVER, PLAYED PATHETIC FIRST AND SECOND ROUND, PET RESUE AND CULLEN BOTH SHOULD HAVE BEATEN HIM CANT STAND THE GUY, CLASS ACT MY ARSE, HIS BEHAVIOUR WAS AWFUL.
Credit to Littler don't get me wrong but they should stop giving him the spotlight and let Humphries enjoy his World Championship and give him a bit more of the talk because at the end of the day he's the World Champion and has been the best player all of last year.
It's like who won the world's just now! The media are ramming fatty up his a ss so hard lol. Do we all have dentist, stating he is 16 every 5 minutes. He is 17 in less than 2 weeks, they won't be saying he is only 17. I guarantee he won't be playing like he did in the world's ever again. Luke H should be sat their not kebab eater. What kind of role model is Littler to be obese and promoting him loving kebabs and pizzas.
Im no darts fan, wtached the whole final, thats because of luke littler and this incredible story for a kid. The winner though, he was playing against literally everyone in the crowd and on tv, nearly went 5 2 down, but from then on he really took the match into his control. World no1 wins against a 16 year old, could have been an historic moment, but im glad for luke humphries, he deserved it, and suffering with anxiety everyday, i couldn't have coped with that pressure. Fantastic watch that was
Luke Humphries is such a chill dude to listen to, would love to hear this guy on a podcast. I get that Littler is a more interesting topic age wise, but Humphries has had a massive year, he's 1st by one of the biggest margins there's ever been and he's down to earth as hell. What a champ!
Love how young Luke says it may never happen again……trust us Luke it’s going to be happening for you for as long as you want it too. To Luke the World Champion you handle everything like an absolute gentleman and true World Champion. Darts must be so so proud of these two articulate and brilliant men.
Both class acts and I've really warmed to Humphries in the last year and I'm so happy he won even though had Littler won i would have been just as happy as they are both a credit to the world of darts and play the game in a no nonsense just get on with it attitude but you have to give massive credit to Humphries because that comeback that kept him in the tournament was so clutch.
Sensational news. Can't wait to watch Humphries continue the form, and can't wait to see Littler with the rest of the best in the world. All his matches were absolutely electric.
Feel a bit sorry for Dobey missing out like. He played well enough in it last year and performed well enough in 2023 to be ahead of some of the others on the list
Watched the whole tournament here in New Zealand. Great to watch, in the end Humphries was just to good and a deserved winner. Littler's turn on the podium will come sooner than later
So happy for Luke Humphries, he's slowly improved his game over the past few years and is now a perfect example of a World No:1, such a high standard of Darts, this should be a great tournament this year, I'm looking forward to it!

I know the talks were mainly about Littler, but Im really happy for Cross being in. I know he declined invitation last year, the year turned up for him quite well. I think he is really underrated despite being a WCH. Time to prove his qualities in PL. I think he played in PL already, in old format but this is different and im really looking forward to see the Voltage on the telly week in week out!
I feel like Chizzy got snubbed. Played a great season on the european tour. Unfortunately did not win any majors, but he's shown what he is capable of and i would've loved to see him back in the prem.
Luke Humphries is going to gain a lot of fans with his character, top talent and down to earth humble and giving littler his credit during his biggest career accomplishment
onward and upward....theres no fluke here, littler is the read deal...i wish him every success and also protection from unwanted press attention and people that may want to take him for a ride...just let him play darts and let nothing get in the way of it. humphries is i think going to get better. he may turn into a 180 machine....
Absolutely deserved for both of them. Wright has no right to be in the PL however. There would have been better options. He is just there for casual fans to watch.
As much as I like wright there are so many players playing better than him at the moment, Dobey, Cullen, bunting, chizzy,Clayton,Searle, even dimitri, van duijvenbode and heta. Noppert is ahead of him in the world rankings just now but I’m guessing they picked wright because there’s two Scottish venues in the premier league and wright is a character that will help fill them?
Ya know what..i soent that tournament rooting for Littler. But watching Humphries carry himself, hold the torch but also want to guide the way for Luke made me think it was right he won. Littler will have his time for sure but right now we got a class act as world number 1.

He should not have been selected. How would Humphries feel knowing what he did last year and didn’t get the nod to play. The other players who put in the hard work over the year to get over looked. It is so money driven now
It IS money driven but I don’t believe that’s a bad thing. More money in the sport brings in bigger prize pots for players, and ultimately encourages new players into sport. It’s 100% a great thing IMO. Other sports are just as money driven, but look at the amazing opportunities it gives these players. Keep it money driven in my opinion. Drive it as hard as they can. It’s absolutely amazing for the sport, and for the viewers at home. Enjoy it mate. This kind of PR and promotion doesn’t come around every day for the smaller sports.

I'm gonna be COMPLETELY honest here, I'm surprised Littler didn't turn down the Premier league, because yes it's big news in the world of darts, but he's likely in college, he's still not even 17 yet, I'm just curious as to how he's gonna manage college work along with travelling across the country. I thought I get that he knows he can make money from darts, but I feel like if he stuck more to his education then it may benefit him more, then again, who am I to judge, just my opinion
No college for him. He has finished school. He doesn't need any further education. With sponsorships and winnings, he will be quite well off in a few years times.
Wright won a major, a european tour title and reached another european tour final. Dobey reached one european tour semi and a couple of quarters, nothing else. I understand why you want to see Dobey instead of Wright, but Wright played a better season and it's not even that close.

Luke Littler is money and the PDC knows they’ve struck gold. The Premier League call up was inevitable.
