Will always be the goat regardless of how much his game has declined over the last 7 years he has been retired. Nobody will ever dominate like he did almost 30 years he dominated darts. its incredible really.
@@SamCovington-fh7ek Maybe, but nobody really knows. Ability alone doesn't lead to domination for a very long period - there's a lot more too it...eg. staying motivated and hungry for years to come.
@benwelham6285 A player can only play what the standard is at the time. Dominating for decades is domination of the field. Also, is the standard any better if the advancement of dartboards is taken into consideration. There is a lot more room on doubles, trebles, and improvement with flights, barrel, etc.
The best ever? For me, nobody will ever dominate darts the same way again. Guaranteed, players are far better now, better averages all round, but for an absolute winning machine, he’ll be the best of all time
Legend !! Can’t ever see his record of world champs being beat,,,,, but the game is so incredible now thanks to him and Jockey ,,, Bristow ,,, and so many that built the game from pubs to screen to possibly OlYMPICS ? So amazing to watch ,,, crazy that SKY have as all sport actually hurt the fact that normal people can’t afford to watch anymore ,,,
While youre healthy carry on doing the things you love cos it keeps you young. I love playing darts but at 71 it's hit getting harder to beat the younger lads now but I still enjoy it. Just like to say that there will never be another Phil Taylor!
Would be quite special say in the next world's, if Littler doesn't make the final, that he has an exhibition game against Phil before the final, it deserves to be on the Ally Pally stage on the biggest day in the Darts calendar
Respect to Phil saying when he loses he’s cocky he ain’t you need that bit of a kick up your own arse to learn and improve and keep going form is temporary class is permanent
He retired seven years ago but he was sitting at home and Barry Hearn waved a cheque in his face and said Do you want to join the Seniors Tour? Are you going to turn it down????
Taylor needs to be ready to help Luke Littler next year because I think when he turns 18.. that’s when all the fun starts for this young lad, going into bars, night clubs women after him, and getting pissed, he needs an Alex Ferguson a Brian Clough to manage him, he needs to be nurtured.
every top tier player can throw the 12 dart games, but its the mentally strong who can overcome the adversity during the match..... the mental stance that YOU WILL WIN is necessary at every match, even in the games where you get slammed......

Just as expected bring the young fella up then whdn he starts to win express himself call him arrongant and pull him back down typical in this country fair play phil for defending him
I don't knock Littler. He's an amazing player and quite the character. What does annoy the ever living fudge outta me though, is reporters who are interviewing a winner of a match that Littler didn't even play asking about Littler. Can't even imagine how that must annoy other players. For example Price beats Wright. - Congrarulations Gerwyn but how about that Luke Littler performance yesterday? Smh.
I understand that Phil's operation will be to have his throwing arm lengthened to 7 feet 9 and a quarter inches. Come on, there's nothing illegal about that. 😊
Yeah, BUT...... He's so young. Unless he has good management AND good parents, he's gonna get "used up" within 3 years. ANY kid who ends up with this much fame and fortune, is usually a mental wreck / nut-case by the time they're 21. Look at young actors and athletes: They become "page 10 stories" in People Magazine, etc. With bylines that usually start with, "Former Child Star declares Bankruptcy as Court Orders Admission Into Re-Hab Facility"
So effectively Phil is saying, from his own personal experience, that Luke needs to quickly lose weight and stop being lazy on his down time away from darts. Natural talent only takes you so far but Luke will burn out health-wise in a few years carrying on diet-wise and activity-wise as he has been, especially with the demands of the schedule. Not a personal jibe, but he’s only just turned 17 and everyone can see his health is a ticking time-bomb and he already looks twice his age.
Got respect for big Phil for what achieved in darts and helping form the pdc but even he can't deny he bent the rules and cheated on more than 1 occasion and even though 16x champion world he woulf not be as successful as he was under current tournament forma. MVG has already smashed most his records Phil has 213 titles in total MVG 159 definitely surpassing Taylor who had no competition for atlleast 10 years and cheated atleats 5 of them world titles money buys you silence and corruption Littler will surpass both❤❤

It is a lot easier to dominate when there are not 6 or so people who can average 110+ tho
