If foreign goods get more expensive, domestic buyers switch to some extent to local alternatives. These are often more expensive than imports without tarifs to begin with.
In short, import tarifs lead to more inflation.

As a Canadian, we would rather sell our natural resources to the U.S because you're more aligned with our values. The problem is that Trump is a bully and if you don't bend the knee to him, he tries to punish you. It's logistically harder, but resources can be sold elsewhere to other more reliable nations if needed. If Trump wins and implements punishments outside of trade deals, then it's incumbent on the world to punch back against his regime as a collective global force. The U.S is a very different and more respected country if Harris/Walz win.

What would help the housing market is if we could stop a lot of these corporate landlords from conspiring together to create falsely inflated rent prices and we also need to stop a lot of these corporate landlords from buying up all of the affordable properties and flipping them pricing them out of the middle class we need legislation that prevents this type of thing from happening

As a kid I was a member of the VFW because of the fact that my Dad was in the Navy during the Korean War as a firefighter. I loved being a member of the VFW as a kid because it gave me a connection to something that my Dad had been a part of on a much deeper level. When former president Donald Trump came out with those assinie comments the other day in reference to the Medal of Honor, I was horrified by his callousness and crude remarks about our veterans, and I'm so glad that the VFW came out with such a strong rebuke against this embarrassment to our country.

1) $25,000 tax credit to every 1st time home buyer? Isn't every massive government program riddled with fraud?
2) Are the 16 - 20 million undocumented people who violated U.S. Immigration Law exempt from this program?
3) How long will this program last? 1 year? 10 Years? 100 years? 1000 years?
4) Is there a minimum age limit for these people? Isn't every 18 year old going to DEMAND a new house?

My observations as a Canadian. If MAGAs want to know what happens to inflation when you impose tariffs they should have a look at what Brexit did to the UK economy. Which applied essential tariffs on goods coming and going from our nearest trading partner the EU by leaving the single market.
UK businesses struggled to export to the EU and costs for importing goods spiralled.
This was like putting a rocket booster under inflation.
