@DeathAdder3000 The way I look at it, it's still Cyrax. MK embraces a lot of Eastern mythology and spirituality, so this is pretty much reincarnation. Same soul, new body. So I don't have to wait for MK13.

@@Jr-Reed nah, I do appreciate a diverse cast of characters, but I have an issue with how some of them are portrayed, Cyrax herself appearing nothing more but a stock character. In addition, gender-swapping Sektor and Cyrax seems like a far-fetched attempt to increase the number of females on the roster, which is another issue imo.

That said, I agree that The gender swap is unnecessary and only could have worked if they somehow made the female versions extremely cool. They did not. Their designs and personalities are generic and their pixie small bodies don't invoke the same intimidating presence they had in MK11. Just a downgrade in every way outside of gameplay/function.
