- Suzy Lu reacts to My Hero Academia season 4. The season picks up where Season 3 ended with the introduction of The Big 3, and the Hero Work-Studies program being extended to the first years. It follows Izuku, Ochaco, Tsuyu, Eijiro with third years Mirio, Nejire and Tamaki participation in the Work Studies and Shie Hassaikai Raid with their respective assigned Hero Agency.

I'm honestly surprised the story never shows the fall out of this fight back at UA or with the students. Uraraka was right there and saw the whole thing yet never once goes to Deku and was like "What was that?" Is not everyday you see your BF turn into a super saiyan.
@@keeganbrown9967 That's because Uraraka never saw a good glimpse of the fight in the manga. Midoriya launched Overhaul so high into the sky, they were just specks in front of the sun by the time Uraraka and Nighteye got above ground.

I love that the all for one theme plays during this fight making you think it was for overhaul but it's really for deku being an absolute monster in this fight
I think this one is just the villain theme? All for One specifically has those operatic vocals
@@elledreamz all for one has two themes, this one is titled "All For One" and the operatic one is "The Power of All For One" I believe
@@samsny21 Ah, that would explain it. Wasn’t aware he had two, but I swear the operatic one is more just for him while the other is usually accompanying other villains - probably to show his influence. Since without League interference the Overhaul situation could have gone very differently
@@elledreamz yeah I also like the use of it here since they make more of a direct comparison to Deku and AFO in season 5, especially as he’s instilling the fear of god in Overhaul lol

What they meant by "Rewind" wasn't going backwards in time, but rewinging living things in her energy field.
My theory has always been that it's specifically Eri's power that messes up Nighteye's. He sees the future, she rewinds, so Deku is getting the injuries he saw, he's just also getting them undone in a way that his power can't account for. I don't know if that's the official explanation, but that's my understanding.
That's how I interpreted things too. But, everyone randomly crediting Midoriya and his (utterly unearned) victory for changing the future really left a sour taste in my mouth after what was otherwise a fantastic story arc.

@@briannacooley6762 He won by using power that he had not earned. Nighteye's future saw him losing, which is what the result should/would have been absent Eri's intervention. His victory came by spamming OFA at 100% in a way that we'd never even seen Almight do, when he could barely handle 20% of that power on his own. He didn't have to do anything to work for that victory, and he certainly didn't display any more effort than all of the other heroes who had joined in the raid. Plus, it came at no cost to himself either. The script demanded that, even though Mirio had been the one who had risked his life fighting to save Eri, both before and after losing his powers, and putting his life on the line for her, that somehow Midoriya would be the one to trigger her powers to change the future. It was one of the most egregious cases of "main character needs a way out of this situation, so insert deus ex machina here" that I've seen in quite a long time.

Whether you like it or not, Deku IS the main character, and he won fair and square. He put as much effort into saving Eri as everyone else and he risked just as much as well. Yes its unfortunate what happened to Mirio and Nighteye, but any of that could've happened to Deku as well.
Nighteye saw Deku get killed, but the future was changed, it was written that way purposely. Whether Eri changed the future or Deku did himself, it happened either way.
Deku has earned everything thus far. He earned his power and all the victories he has accomplished.
While it may be true that he can only handle a small amount of his power at his young age of 15, he's going to be able to handle his full power and do the exact same thing he does in this battle, in future ones. Whether you wanna accept it or not, One For All is stronger with Deku than it was with All Might and that is just a fact. So of course Deku will be stronger at 100% and be able to do things All Might never could.
This story is not for you if you don't like main characters or you just don't like Deku.
The author wrote the story the way it is on purpose so I suggest you get over it or just stop following the story.
This victory was completely earned, either accept it or don't, that's up to you. But do not go around projecting your personal beliefs onto others when they go against facts. Goodbye now.

Eri's quirk is like a counter to NIght Eye's so it makes sense his quirk cant account for it. Anyway, glad to see you enjoyed the episode.
@@tdogbetheman9650 indeed, well done for realising it too. Izuku probably would've died after breaking all his limbs using it at 100%, so the healing was essential.
This fight was ine of the best fights in the show! Midoriya went off the damn scale!
it's fun comparing how Overhaul always speaks in a calm, level tone in most of his appearances but gradually starts losing his shit after Mirio beats him until he's practically roaring every line in this episode
Izuku is an absolute beast this season! The mechanics behind Night eye's quirk is still confusing to me.

Eri's quirk is also a counter to sir nighteye's quirk too
Erie's quirk is actually stronger than one for all which is why it can rewind/heal the damage that deku has done to himself and it can also erase quirks completely just like what happened to Togata
Season 4 is the best season and I'm loving these reactions!
In this episode, Overhaul ended up being a victim of the TRUE power of One For All!!!!
Overhaul is the kinda person who has a good intention but because of the way he desplayed it he appears like a villain. other then the abuse of eri his goal to end quirks and fix the twisted society. Kinda like stain but in a worse controlled thing
Never have you seen someone so happy to proven wrong than Nighteye, right then. That was all he could ever have hoped for, to know his long range predictions could be wrong. That his prediction, seeing All-Might and Midoria die, wouldn't have to come true.
I think Eri at the end is willingly helping Midoriya trying to save herself and the other heroes who came to her rescue. To me it's not the same as what Chisaki did to her.
Entire episode is just pure emotion 😭🔥

If that's the case Suzy you should totally play My Hero One's Justice 2. Overhaul is one of the bosses and I know you also do gameplay reactions, so I thought it would be a cool idea.
best episode in the series so far. The animation, the heartbreaking music, the desperation and anger of Chisaki screaming to give her back, and Deku breaking the foreseen future. Perfect.

I know a lot of people think it's Eri's quirk that made Nighteye see the wrong future or something, but I don't think that's it. I think it's Deku that changed the future that Night Nighteye saw.

I absolutely love when Nighteye smiled...but it was in the same animation as his foresight which, I assume, means that his future was changing at that very moment.

I think Nighteye can only see linear time. What he saw was going to happen if no time was rewinded. Future can't be changed without time based quirks involved.

she was a really small little when she rewinded her dad though, they showed her super small sitting on a bed, i feel like maybe because how she was sitting there she knew what happened, but hopefully she was too small to understand it, because i'd hate to live with that trauma.

i think it’s more so bc of erie’s quirk. she’s quite literally rewinding time, so far we’ve only see her rewind people to a previous state they were in at certain point in time so it could’ve been bc she had her quirk activating keeping deku from dying
