    I don't get all the judgment out there on engine displacement.
    My current bike is 1450 CC's and I would still rip around on one of these. I'd love one as a commuter. Once you realize that no matter what size or brand of bike you ride people are going to talk trash on it, it makes it a lot easier stop caring about what all the clowns say and just enjoy yourself.

    • @HondaProKevin
      @HondaProKevin  3 года назад

      Could you ride it? Definitely. However, you won't be touching flat footed and you'd really have to side saddle it and it might not be that comfortable for you in my opinion. As much as I don't care for lowering bikes as it kills the handling, that may be something you'd need to look into to make it more comfortable for you at the end of the day.

      @@Joey.the.producer slide your butt half down to one side to keep on foot on the ground. those rally bike start form. it is 780mm seat height. the most lowest seat for sporty look bike in this decade. you can cut down the seat cushion. the seat itself is big. if you afraid of some fall down accident, buy those fairing guard bar. it could save your foot pegs and brake clutch lever and mirror and some minor scratch when fall down during walk the bike , parking , or slip sandy, steep angle ground. 160kg is about the same weight as motogp bike so i would not say it is that light. i live in asia where many smaller scooters available and they could weight 90-100kg. and the tires set are not much bigger than bicycle tire. all in all if you really into sport bay. i would recommned one with 10000rpm maximum hp or above. and height seat becasue you will need room for your body in track conrners. but if you just want to ride aroun town and practice some sport basic back street in weekend, this 300cc is one of excellent choice.

I'm glad I waited and got the cbr don't get me wrong the rally is nice but this thing is a smooth girl not to powerful but definitely gets going when it needs to everything. Has a phenomenal top end pull,(still just a 300). I wanted a daily driver and this is perfect for that. It can hit the Interstate no problem just remember it's top speed is 92 so it's not healthy to ride more than 45 min at those high speeds, the engine is built for it but the wear and tear isn't worth it. Other than a few other miniscule cons I loveeeeee it.

    Could Honda make a 400 to compete with the Ninja 400? It would cost more, obviously, but meets the performance needs the 300 can't deliver. Great channel BTW, Kevin. Nothing like it in the UK, so I watch it to drool over the bikes you have that I can't - big XRs, for example!

    • @HondaProKevin
      @HondaProKevin  3 года назад +3

      Could they? Oh yeah, but do they want to is the question lol. I think they're happy not competing against them in the cheap sportbike segment if I'm being honest. The next refresh will definitely answer that question though and show us how serious they want to take this platform. I'd love nothing more than to see them give us a true small supersport bike but I don't think the vast majority of people want to drop that change for one when they just want a small and cheap bike that looks like a "real" sportbike. The most recent CBR250RR is close and lightyears ahead of the CBR250R / CBR300R platform but Honda could've done a little more to really send that bike to the next level. I would've bought one to have a minime of my CBR600RR but go figure, we didn't get it here lol. It's wild how you guys in the UK get stuff we don't and we're jealous but the grass isn't always greener as like you said, we get stuff you don't lol. Maybe one day in the future all of Honda's products will be available to everyone, like it should be. So many cool Hondas in different parts of the world!

    When asked about the engine he would say chicks don’t know anything about engines.

    C´mon Honda, make a CBR250R with 4 cylinders like the new Kawasaki ZX-25R 250cc inline 4 cylinder and bring it to Europe and USA. We need that bike in our markets 👍
    THAT 300 SUCKS.

    • @HondaProKevin

      Sadly, I don't think we'll see that happen any time soon. As a longtime CBR fanboy and owner of multiple models over the years, I want that to happen as I'd be buying one ASAP lol! If they won't give us a 4 cylinder variant, at least give us the CBR250RR!
      I wouldn't say it sucks, it's just not what some of us think of when we hear CBR. Not everyone wants to spend $6,000+ on "just a 250-300" as some people say and for those that don't want to push a bike to the edge, this thing is perfect ;) . That's not to say we don't need a smaller displacement supersport bike for those of us that would enjoy it and gladly pay good money, if it's done right. We can only hope though and with the way manufacturers are headed now with not really pushing the envelope on engine technology because of electric models and the push towards them, we may never see something special like a four cylinder 250 out of Honda again.
      Thanks for posting!

      lol 100%! Some of their new releases have hit delays because of the rona situation messing everything up but we'll be finding out very soon (couple months) on what their plans are for 2022. I don't have any blips on the radar to really make me say it's definitely getting its refresh this year over next year but we're still a few months out from its announcement date so we've got some time for things to change.
      It's still a great bike at the end of the day, as long as you go into it with the right expectations. Could it be better? Ohhhh yes! I do feel sorry for them though, slightly lol. It's a fine line to walk with this bike on trying to give it more but keep the price down and then you still won't make the guys like us happy that want a true 250-300 supersport bike out of them and don't mind paying a premium if done right. Compared to those that are searching for something like this and don't care about what suspension it has or how many cylinders or how high it revs etc. They just want something cheap that looks like a sportbike. It'd be nice if the market was strong enough for them to build two variations, say a CBR300R and it be the budget bike and then the CBR300RR that has everything us go fast geeks want lol. Similar to the CBR600RR and CBR650R, one is built to more of a budget and the other one (was) the cream of the crop.
      Sorry for rambling on man, I could talk bike crap all day! Thanks for the support, I really appreciate it...

    Looks really stupid with only 1 headlight lit. My CBR250R looks 1000X's better.
    I want it, but that single lit headlight is a deal breaker.
